This villa is across the street from the beach and next door to the Salty Dog Cafe. There is a lovely community pool also. We rode bikes everywhere (which were provided) and the entire villa was very clean and well appointed. We felt like guests in someone's home and we treated it as such. No hotel feel here! We had beach chairs, towels and even sunscreen-plenty of linens and the A/C worked great! Only two things I would have liked but didn't have...we had no deck or balcony and no oven--we like to cook, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Also, this is not the unit for you if you need handicapped access-it's upstairs and not for someone with mobility issues. The building is quiet and there were board games and books if there happened to be a rainy day. Awesome flat screen T.V., Wi Fi and DVD player for your use. The Salty Dog is a hub of activity--bar, restaurant, ice cream and shopping. You needn't venture far to enjoy the island from this villa. I advise you to skip the Crazy Crab restaurant--seafood was not good (my flounder was very overdone and smelled badly) and ambience was sorely lacking--very "tourist" feel. Harbour Town is fun but bike there--parking is not readily available. The beach is magnificent-you can walk for miles and enjoy fishing, boogie boarding and just watching the dolphins. We would definitely return. Another tip: the changeover day for most rentals is Saturday, so you will be sitting in traffic getting on and off the island--would be nice if not all the rentals changed on the same day. We were in bumper to bumper traffic both ways--a 30 min. ride took 2 hrs. (Perhaps getting up at 6 a.m would have alleviated that, but we were too lazy!) The owner is very accommodating and accessible-she responded to my emails promptly and encouraged us to call with questions, etc. I highly recommend this rental!

Owner response:Thanks for the positive review. The microwave is a combination convection oven/microwave. I have used it for baking a cake, roasted chicken, and frozen pizza's. It was put in new 2011 and works really well if you are use to convection ovens. Thanks Kathy please come again.

We enjoyed staying at this condo. Very comfortable and clean. The condo has everything you will need on your trip. It is very close to the beach - just a quick walk. Our son loved the flat screen TV. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

The villa was very well decorated and comfortable. Everything was very clean and ready for our stay. The owner was very helpful and offered to fix anything that was not working. The location was next door to a shopping and dining area as well as near the beach and bike trails. Sea Pines plantation offers so much within itself so you don't have to go far to enjoy many attractions.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location in South Beach is perfect! It is a short walk to the beach, and there are restaurants(e.g. the Salty Dog Cafe) and entertainment just around the corner. The beach, while not as wide as most of the beaches in HH, is wonderful due to the abundance of dolphins and other wildlife. The sunsets over Daufuskie Island (which you can see across the sound) are spectacular. The condo is well-equipped and comes with extra amenities such as bikes. Excellent place to stay!!

We had such a nice time!! I'm so in love with Sea Pines/Hilton Head Is. The development and its bike trails and beaches are so clean & beautiful. It's so unspoiled. The area is perfect for families. The location of the condo was so convenient to everything in Sea Pines!! I loved that a short walk led us to Salty Dogs & shopping. We loved hanging out there - the "people watching" and listening to the live music was really enjoyable. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed in the loft was really comfortable,too. My only suggestions are ... add some board games and maybe a TV in the loft, just to help get through periods of rainy weather. Otherwise, the condo was perfect for our get-away!! Thank you and I look forward to renting again!!

Could not have had a better time. Everything you needed was provided here. The amenities (ocean, beach, nearby restaurants and shops at South Beach, pool, tennis, and especially the bikes) were above and beyond. The inside of the condo was updated and perfect for two (could work with 4 as well). My wife and I had a great time and look forward to staying here again!

PERFECT! Location-literally 3 min walk to South Beach (closest condo community to it in fact). Arrived late Friday night, walked to marina and caught fishing charter Sat AM while wife/3yr old enjoyed the pool. Quite beach within walking distance, or short drive to popular beaches. For 1st time visitors to Sea Pines plantation= self contained city. No need to leave the plantation at all. Will definitely stay here again.

We just returned from Hilton Head and would definitely stay here again. It was clean, up to date, and offered everything that we needed. We have never stayed in South Beach, but we really enjoyed the area and all that it had to offer. Having access to both the ocean and the pool was a huge hit with our 2 kids. Just returned from another wonderful vacation in Hilton Head with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. This was the first time we stayed at this property. This unit exceeded our expectations and definitely recommended for those looking for a relaxing Hilton Head vacation away from the crowds in the comfort of an extremely clean, well maintained unit with an excellent location. Everything was convenient - a short walk to the beach, bikes for riding on the beach/trails, access to the pool and great proximity to South Beach village for that evening margarita. Thanks.

We had a wonderful month of January at this condo on Hilton Head Island. We had visited Hilton Head a number of times previously but this was the first time we stayed in the South Beach area. It was great! A short walk to the beach and an equally short walk to the marina complex and the Salty Dog. We loved the walks on the great beaches that seem to stretch forever. We loved the bikes and used them nearly everyday on the many bike paths. The condo was very clean and contained everything we needed to enjoy our time here.

A very nice villa by the beach. One of the nicest places we've stayed at Hilton Head. Everything was clean, new, fresh, and lovely. We certainly enjoyed our week. The beach is a very short walk away, bike trails are great, and the South Beach Marina is a few feet away. Eat at the Salty Dog, listen to some music, and walk home. Life is good! Thanks, Ann.

This very stylish and clean condo was the perfect accomodation for my family of 2 adults and 2 small children. The South Beach area of Sea Pines is our favorite location on HHI. We walked to the beach where my kids saw dolphins, collected hermit crabs, and watched the 4th of July fireworks. We also walked to the Marina for shopping and dining at the Salty Dog. I would stay here again and again! Superb location - MAYBE a 2 minute walk to the beach! Doplhins were plentiful to see the whole weekend. We rode for days on the endless bike paths and liked the convenience of the shops, etc. to the condo. Condo was clean and nicely furnished, thanks for making Hilton Head a place I would go back to!

We spent three weeks here in January, it was a last minute idea and we are so happy we did it. The place is brand new, very clean and the ocean is minutes away. THe bike trails are endless and there was so much to do. I would strongly encourage everyone to rent this villa, a great retreat for us. THe weather wasn't that great but we still rode bike, went to movies, ate out and went walking on the beach everyday. Thanks it was wonderful

At the last minute we decided to head to Hilton Head Island for the holidays as our kids had other plans. We had the best time. THe villa is brand new, the owner is wrong about the 5min. walk to the beach try 2minutes, your own private beach is two minutes away. THe sand was great, we walked, biked and watched movies provided in the condo. THis place is perfect for a week away. I could tell right away that the owners still use it, everything was clean, new and comfortable. THe bed even had a feather bed on it. The location is in the middle of anything you want to do. We went shopping, the resturant guide with the local recommendations is unique. Plenty of room, plenty to do and very affordable, we priced the different hotels on the island, we could not have found a better deal. I am already working on summer dates to return to this villa with the kids. THe bikes are a great addition too. Thanks for a wonderful christmas get away. Brenda N.
