Dear Phil and Susie, Thank you so much for the lovely condo. Phil's parents own a condo in the B section, so it was an easy walk through the lower pool to visit them. On our first full day here Phil got awesome news about a new job. It made our vacation that much better. We went to a different beach everyday, went snorkeling at Po'Olenalena and saw some turtles. We took a day trip ion Sunday with my mother-in-law to Molokini for the best snorkeling while our 2 and 3 year old boys stayed at the pool with my father-in-law and sisters-in-law. We had some good eats at Moose's, Paradise Burger and the ice cream shop down the street. The boys loved playing the sand and making sand castles. It was the family vacation we needed. Thank you so much! p.s. My Dad went in for emergency surgery days before our trip so couldn't make it this time, but would love to stay here next tine. p.s.s. Everything was perfect. We had our two young boys with us and were very pleased with the sleeping den and the roominess of the unit, and the proximity to everything, including pools, dining and beaches. Thank you!

Lovely place! Great location. Visiting our daughter going to massage school in Makawao. Favorite restaurant in Paia Des Amis. Favorite beach walk down the hill and walk to "H" on beach past the hotel . . . long sandy beach and can go on to a boardwalk. Thanks

Thank you for a fabulous Maui vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed the condo and all of it's comforts. It was so spacious and had everything we needed. Great for teenagers to have their own space (and bathroom!). Maui (Kihei especially) impressed us very much, as it was our first time here (to Hawaii). We went to many beaches, saw many turtles and tropical fish snorkelling daily, sunsets, sunburns (watch out!), listened to and saw whales, and ate and drank too much! The best! Thanks! Thanks so much! Mahalo Mahalo! We had a lovely time on the beaches and in the pool. Cooked lots of yummy meals with the stunning abundance of local produce. A fantastic place to ring in the New Year! Loved snorkeling and playing in the sand at all of the great beaches in Kihei, Wailea and Makena! Memorable moments were swimming the 5 great big sea turtles, and a pod of 4+dolphins! Fabulous sunsets! Fun trip to the Tropical Plantationand Paia! We had a lovely time in Maui! The condo was lovely and a great location. Enjoyed diving, whale watching, aquarium and a luau. Had some wonderful meals at the Kihei Cafe - awesome. The ocean was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Went on some great walks. Celebrated Christmas and had some great relaxation.

Hello Phil and Susie, This is our first time here on Maui. Thank you so very much. We had an amazing time here. Your condo is beautiful (breathtaking - the views are beautiful.) A wonderful vacation. So peaceful here. My husband and family just loved it here. Everyone at 5 Star are just wonderful people. Very helpful (in many ways). I have to tell you I just love it here. I don't want to leave. I can say that we will be coming back!!!! We had a great 4th of July, BEAUTIFUL, just loved it. Your condo had everything we needed. Beautiful Beautiful!!!! So many places to go. Our eight nights flew by! The condo is so cozy, but roomy! we take a 'tropical' may vacation every year, but haven't been to Maui since 1985. What a change. Like several others who have written in this book, we have stayed in a number of condos, VRBO, all over the world. This has to be a favorite. Clean, safe and well located, comfortable. So nice. Thank you so much! We hope to return soon and bring our family. Our favorite activity was walking on the beach, mornings and late afternoons. We had to, as the meals we had were so good. Mama's BBQ behind Starbucks for lunch! Kihei Cafe for breakfast. The Palms for dinner - Cafe Ol'ei - we ate our way across town - obviously. Cocktails at the Fairmont, shopping at Wailea Mall, Snorkel trip at Fairmont with Sage. Thanks, Tim and Tari, Spokane, WA

Thank you for a wonderful week in your condo. We have stayed at a few condos on the Hawaiian Islands, and this is hands down the best condo we have used. We really enjoyed the pool area (especially our kids). We even threw a 5th birthday party for our daughter poolside and grilled a feast. It was a special night. We enjoyed many of our Maui favorites - Big Beach sunsets, delicious meals from Eskimo Candy, surfing on Kam II with rentals from Maui Wave Riders, and quick trips over to Paia. New discoveries at Turtle Town, and beach time via Makena Beach Resort access, Tobis shaved ice in Paia, Aloha Lunch Plate in Lahaina, the Crepes Restaurant in Kihei and the Bamboo forest on Hana Road. Highlight of the trip was swimming with a huge turtle and boogie boarding daily. We will be back and hope to stay at your condo again. Mahalo for a week of special memories.

Thank you again for the use of the condo. This is the second visit at your place and we have had a wonderful vacation once again. Our kids had so much fun - we spent hours everyday in the pool. And the hot tub was our son's favorite. My parents stayed only two doors down, so it was nice being close to them. The kids had a great time going back and forth seeing Grandma and Grandpa. We had a few days of rain when we first arrived, thankful though the tropical storm didn't hit Maui the way it hit the other islands. We had a perfect day to go whale watching, the kids got to see them come right up by the boat - amazing. Day trips and shopping in Paia, Lahaina, and Whaler's Village. Went to the Saturday market in Kahului. A few days spent at Pol0 Beach - such fun building sand castles and our 3 year old boogie boarded with Grandpa for the first time. Also great snorkeling at Ahihi marine reserve. Again a first, our 3 year old came snorkeling and saw turtles up close. We will always remember this trip. Thanks again.

We have just returned from 8 days in Maui at the Maui Kamaole and we had an excellent time. We have been to Kihei several times and feel that this condo and complex was the best of the bunch. The condo was clean, well equipped and welcoming, and the complex was well maintained and quiet. A perfect holiday location. We travelled with our three teens and they enjoyed the pool and hot tub (just a little too hot) and the great location between Kihei and Wialea. We would highly recommend this condo and complex and plan to return in the future.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you for the stay here. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. The condo is a good size and in a good location. We have traveled to quite a few hot places, and we love it here in Maui. There is so much to explore and the island scenery is so varied. I'm sure we will be back again.

Sad to be leaving tomorrow . . we enjoyed our stay so very much. Started calling it "home" very quickly, and feeling at home too. Quick recommendations: - Kihei Cafe - worth the wait (but if you go early like before 7am, you may not have to wait) - Cafe O'Lei - Maui Tacos - Local Boys shave ice Thanks so much. We had a wonderful stay! All the amenities we needed, especially boogie boards. we snorkeled almost every day, then caught waves, hiked Haleakala, plus took a kayak tour. we were happy to have your condo to come home to.

This is our second stay at the Maui Kamaole and the first at your condo. We enjoyed your comfortable condo. We did a lot of scuba diving with Ed Robinson's Diving Adventures. They are the best in customer service and treat you like family. We also enjoyed Jaws Too for fish tacos. Our best casual meal was at The Windows in Lahaina. Best fish tacos, and very reasonable. Warning: Be careful at the blowhole . . . take pictures from a distance. Also, we took road 340 around the W Maui . .

The absolute best week of my life. Kim asked me what was my favorite thing and, hands down it was the cumulative experience! The ride down Haleakala - snorkeling, the drive to Hana and the rainforest and waterfalls. The black sand beach, and me brave enough to go into the lava tube. We've only been here a week and had enough experiences and adventures to last an amazing amount of time. I sent home books and brochures to plan our trip back! The new boogie board from Costco is to replace

We had a great trip to Maui. The condo had everything we needed except sand toys (we bought and left them for future kiddies). We left a boogie board that was passed on to us. Enjoy. We watched the limes grow on the trees by the pool pathway. Sunsets on this end of Kam III are spectacular ~6:30 - 6:40 (on the sand near the cove). From Calgary, Alberta, Canada

This is a lovely, clean and comfortable condo - a great home base for exploring Maui. We've been to this paradise island several tines, always coming back to the Kihei/Wailea area because of great beachs and better weather. During this visit we visited Haleakala National Park and hiked the Sliding Sand Trail down the crater - what spectacular scenery! We also enjoy running along the coastal trail in Wailea - even in the pouring rain. Check out the new 3 Cafe and Bar in Kalama Mall. Great food and excellent value for sunset menu. The kids love the shaved ice from Locoboys at the same mall. We had a very enjoyable vacation. Thank you. The U family, Edmonton, Alberta

Dear Phil and Susie, After a day of traveling, it was great to arrive at the condo, with everything in order and nicely taken care of. We have stayed in a number of condos in this development and found that yours is the nicest. The great thing about it is the location to everything, pool, BBQ, etc. We had a great time and now will be able to go home and deal with Christmas. P.S. we will be back next year.

This was our first family vacation and it was perfect! The complex is gorgeous, the condo very comfortable/our little guy was sleeping in a crib in the den) and the weather fantastic! This was our first visit to the islands and we had a great, relaxing, fun vacation. The location of your condo is so convenient for all activities! Golf was great and beautiful. I do believe we squeezed almost all of your island activities in. The sea turtles were amazing and Molokini was like swimming in our own salt water fish tank! So many varieties of fish. Some of our favorite things we did on this vacation were: - road to Hana (the bamboo forest); - Mama's Fish House (our last dinner); - Paia; - Lahaina; - snorkeling at Kapalua Bay; - Ka'anapali Beach; - Napili Beach; - Thai Chef (in Lahaina by Foodland); - Blue Water Rafting (we really recommend that).

Jenna (7 yrs. old) I loved Dan's Green House. I like the pigeons. They are cute. Chad (7 yrs. old) I saw a nene. There was one out the door. I got hit by a wave and hit my ear. Hailey (9 yrs. old) I really liked Maui. I wish I could stay longer. My favorite thing was going snorkeling. We went to three beaches! I also really liked all the delicious plate lunches. My favorites were gelato, kalua pork, musubis, and chicken katsu. I really liked the condo. We watched movies 2 days of the week. I want to stay but I have school. Thanks, Hailey, 9, San Diego, CA. We absolutely loved this condo! Huge! Plenty of room for our family of five! The luxury of having a full kitchen, washer/dryer/ BBQ and a gorgeous lanai with ocean views blew us away. :) Favorites: DaKine Kitchen - local Hawaiian food; Farmer's Market, Kahului; Sam Satos - oranjo dried noodles; Aloha Mixed Plate, Lahaina; snorkeling in Palawea Beach - lots of turtles; Komodo Bakery and store on southside, Makawao; Haleakala crater; Surfing Goat Dairy, Kula; Sansei Seafood - go early to save 25 - 50%; Paia, (eclectic shopping); Ho'okipa Beach - world class surfing. Thank you for making this lovely Maui home available for visitors! We had a beautiful week here, and felt very comfortable the whole time. The folks at Maui 5 Star were super helpful and responsive. (Thanks Ken, for answering our wireless router questions!.) A few things we loved: * Evening cross breeze by opening back and front sliding doors and using the screens, when dining in. (I was surprised the air current reached from patio in Mastr bedroom to back patio, but it did. * Eating on the patio * Shopping at Foodland - be sure and use the Makai program card attached to the room key- very handy. Also, see if there's an addition coupon on the counter when you arrive. * Great Musubi at Foodland - perfect for a light lunch/beach snack. Very portable. Rice, seaweed wrap, and with chicken as well as traditional spam. * Snorkel rental at Snorkel Bob's. Makena Landing is a good snorkel spot to see sea turtles, coral, many fish. * "Baby Beach" near Lahaina is EXCELLENT for little ones - very gentle surf, and long shallows. The upper pool area and sand-bottomed hot tub - spectacular setting

Dear Phil and Susie, From the moment we walked in, after a VERY long flight, we were pleasantly surprised by he grounds, amenities, location and your beautiful home, Thank you for sharing it with us. I have thought several times during the past 10 days that I would love to come back to Maui and that I would love to stay here again. Special thanks to 5 Star for always being available to answer our questions. :) Maui is stunning! All three of us enjoyed the weather, the beaches, the scenery, the activities, and most of all the relaxation! I loved going to the pool every night when no one else was around and swimming under the stars. The only advice I would offer to those who come after us is . . . be careful on the road to Hana! The beach, Kamaole III, was awesome, but we soon learned to go EARLY as around 11am, there were high winds, and sand would cover us within minutes! The trip to Haleakala is a must do. There are lots of people that say to go in the morning, but we went mid-afternoon, and you could see a lot more!! Sunday brunch at the Grand Wailea is also highly recommended! Very good food and sights. Had a great vacation and hope to be back again. Glad we chose this spot - the condo, pool and close proximity to beaches was perfect. Thanks again, Mahalo! Stayed at this lovely condo June 1-11. The area was so lovely and quiet, perfect spot for R & R at the beach or pool and near so many areas. Hated to leave. Thank you!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you Phil and Susie for the great accommodations! We felt at home and wish we could have stayed longer. So many more things we wanted to do. This was our first visit to Maui and now we know where we'll be staying for future visits. We packed a lot in within one week - snorkeling, boogie boarding, Hana Highway (the whole loop!), Haleakala crater (got up at 2am for that!), and another snorkeling day with your friend Captain Roger on our last day there. Great accommodations! Thank you Phil and Susie. We were sad to leave after only 5 days. However, have fond memories of Kam 1, 2, and 3, Paia, Honapali (watched the wind surfers here). This is our 8th stay in Maui! And most of them spent at Wailea Ekahi. I must say that Maui Kamaole is much quieter and the grounds are just as nice. After two weeks of great weather we are returning to our home and will face the usual Canadian April snow storms. Bah . . . Wishing you happy holidays to future residents of J-105. Aloha! We had an absolutely wonderful time on our family vacation. We loved your condo - clean, well-kept and a great location. We did a ton of snorkeling - the water was so clear. We loved all the turtles and watching the whales jump from the shore. We were able to do a bit of boogy boarding when the waves were big enough, and had great days at beaches and just sitting by the pool. Thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely be back. Feb. 4 - 13, 2010 Phil and Susie, We thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd trip to Maui. Thank you for the use of your beautiful condo. We loved the location in South Kihei (and away from the road too!).
