The Williams House is a Historic Victorian home, built by miner John Williams in the 1880s. Totally remodeled in 2004, it is ideally suited for larger parties looking for the convenience of a perfect in town location, hassle free ski access and the comforts of a 7BR/7Baths House.

6 individual rooms + a large private Den (6 with own TV) and all En Suite Bathrooms, some with antique mirrors and cabinetry.

SKI IN/GONDOLA OUT! - Most ideal Location at 303 N. Main street. Center of Town. For skiing 2 min walk to the GONDOLA (Peak 8), SKI-IN via the Skiway (3 min from House). Steps from all Shopping & Dining. No car needed, everyone just comes and goes at their leisure.

Relax in the outdoor HOT TUB after a good day of snow, have a Martini at next doors "Blue River Bistro" or stroll along the shops on Main, we are sure that you will have a wonderful time.
Also next door, for the best breakfast in town, locals favorite "Daylight Donuts".

Some History:
Building a frame house in Breckenridge before the arrival of the railroad was no small task. To erect this c.1881 house and the one next door (301 N. Main),Breckenridge saloonkeeper Joseph F. Reeder had to chop down trees, drag them to the sawmill, have them milled for different uses—siding, flooring, shingles, etc.—and let them dry. Inflating the cost of construction was the need to pack finished building materials—nails, paint, and doors— over a high mountain pass at a cost of forty cents per pound.
In 1888, John Williams, a hardrock miner, and his wife, Minta, purchased the house as their home. After John and Minta’s separation in 1890, Minta and their daughter, Ethel, continued to live here until 1906, renting it out from time to time as they pursued an acting career for
Ethel.
The Williams House is featured in the Historic Walking Tour.

  • We loved the Williams House. We had 11 people -- 5 adults and 6 kids. Could have easily added another couple.The house is VERY spacious inside! Don't let the pictures of the outside of the house fool you. 2 to 3 minute walk to the gondola (with 5 and 6 year olds) is simple. Non-skiers loved the location of the house -- very easy to walk to all areas in town. And the best part of it all -- 2 doors away from Daylight Donuts! We would definitely rent the house again. Cristina was very nice to work with.

  • This home was simply amazing! Our group of 10 skiers stayed there Martin Luther King weekend, and the accommodations were fantastic. The home is set up spaciously, in excellent condition, and almost every bedroom has its own private bathroom. The amenities are fantastic, classy, and the home is decorated in style. With a perfect location, the home is located right on Main Street in Breckenridge, all the shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the gondola is only 100 yards or so away! After a day of skiing/riding, the hot tub is just steps out the front door. Parking is convenient, and the huge theater screen TV/projector in the primary living room makes gathering there easy. The backup flatscreen TV in the 2nd living room is convenient for those not enjoying the main feature on the projector. The spacious, stylish kitchen is completely furnished, with stainless steel appliances and slate floors. Finally, Christina & Tice are fantastic to work with, very flexible and accommodating. I would highly recommend this residence, and my group will definitely be visiting again.

  • My group of 10 skiers stayed at the Williams House for one week in January, 2007. There are many positive things about this house including: Location - 3 minute walk to the new gondola. Bathrooms - there are 7 so no waiting around to use them. Large Kitchen and dining room as we cooked and ate in most evenings. The only areas that could be improved include the hottub outside. It is not a private space like you may have at other homes and the jets / heat are poor. Also, the front fire place was not operatable the week we were there. This has likely been fixed as the owners were aware and very apologetic. Overall, a great big beautiful historic house that we all enjoyed very much. Would definately recommend for any and all large groups that want to be in the center of town and have their own private residence.
