Myself and my extended family and parents just spend the week at the villa, and it was a really wonderful experience. Teresa the cook takes excellent care of you, the food is delicious, and the place is extremely clean. The views are gorgeous, especially from the huge terrace/balcony at the top. We took three 1 year olds and a 6 year old. The manager Gabino found us three lovely nannies who played with and took care of the kids all day at the villa (the terrace is brilliant for playtime in the shade) and so everyone had a very relaxing break. I recommend hiring a car to explore pretty Sosua beach and Cabarete beach which has world class kitesurfing - both are fairly close. We will definately be going back for another vacation here, it was bliss!

A group of friends went to the Dominican to relax, play golf, and fish. None of us had ever been to the DR and we had many apprehensions. When we got picked up from the airport in Puerto Plata by Gabino, we were almost instantaneously relieved. Gabino was very gracious and accomodating and when we got to the villa; we were blown away by it. It was exactly like it looked on the website. Moma Theresa was our cook and housekeeper and treated us like her own grandchildren. She was so incredible cleaning and picking up after us. Her dishes were excellent and she ensured we were always fed. We also had Narcisco as our guide and pool boy. He gave us great information about the local happenings and kept our pool immaculate. This villa was soooo relaxing just sitting by the pool and watching the ocean waves and the calm and serenity. We spent many hours in the morning and evening decompressing from our day by the pool. Everyone from the staff to the locals in the nieghborhood was sooo friendly. We felt right at home the first day as we went to the local bar and restuarant Ahora down by the beach. The country was awe inspiring and we had the best vacation of our lives. All four guys have said we would like to do it again next year and probably will. This time I am sure more people will come once we let them know how our vacation went. I have been telling all of my friends and coworkers about this amazing villa and the staff and not to mention the beautiful country known as the DR. Now I know why so many people come back again and again. Count me in that number as well as my friends that stayed with me. Patsy and Brian has a lovely home and they have hired the right staff. We also had a night watchman, but the area was so quiet and peaceful I was not sure why he was required, but he was there all night and we saw him walking the grounds to ensure all was in order, but again, the people were so nice to us from the community, we felt safe 24/7. We had a great time at the Villa. Teresa and Narcisso are so nice and accomodating. I even practiced my spanish with Narcisso & the dictionary of course..hahaha....Eating breakfast on the patio every morning overlooking the ocean along with the cool breeze was priceless and more than relaxing. Gabino was wonderful in telling us about the area and its people and culture during our rides to and from the airport. There are so many things to do, but we choose the Catamarran trip (totally suggest this to anyone) which included lunch and snorkeling - so worth the money 100x over... Thank you Brian and Patsi for sharing your Villa with us, we had the best time ever.

Absolute Paradise! Don't waste your money on Resorts where you can't tell if you are in Cancun, the Dominican or San Diego - experience paradise AND the culture in a Villa. As far as Villas go, this is 2nd to none. Stunning scenery, an outstanding staff and owners, and a setting that will make you confident you chose the right destination. After the first drink poolside, soaking in the sun and views, you will be planning your next visit. One word sums it up...perfection.

Just returned from 9 days at the Villa. We chose a Villa over a resort for a variety of reasons. That is a decision I am glad we made, and will go to Villas for all vacations here on out. It is the only way to truly experience the country you vist. The combination of relaxation, excitement, culture, scenery, and elegance was unbelievable! The Villa is exacatly as it looks in the photos - perhaps even better. The owners communicated the information to prepare us well, the manager checked in often to make sure everything was good. Teresa, Marie Beth and Narciso were the most wonderful ambassadors to the Dominican Republic that the Villa could find. The home is immaculate, and comfortable no matter how warm it got. We met some people from a nearby resort and complained of being bugged for timeshares. The resort could have been anywhere from Cancun to Florida and you'd never know where you were...so why bother. I would encourage anybody considering it, to stay at a nice Villa (such as Villa de las Sirenas) and experience life the way it was meant. I am certain, you will not regret it, and within the first couple days, while laying by the pool, looking at the mountain and the ocean - you will be planning your next trip down.

Me and my husband just got back from the best vacation ever. The Villa was more beautiful than I could have imagined. The views were breathtaking! Very clean, beautiful landscapping, and the staff was great. The moment you walk in you are welcomed and made to feel right at home. Teresa was so sweet and is a fantastic cook. The info packet we received before our vacation answered about all the questions you may have about everything in regards your vacation. Great customer service by the owners,if you had any additional questions they responded very quickly. The pool was awsome. The Ahora restaurant was great and with in walking distance, the people were very friendly and you can eat oceanside. Gus comes to the Villa and sets up any excursions you may like to do, you dont have to do anything but get in the Taxi and go. I have traveled a lot and never go back to the same place twice,but I cant wait to come back,this time with my nieces. Ocean World is a must see. We did do the Fishing Charter but didnt catch anything,but one of the other passengers did catch a huge Mahi Mahi. I highly recommend this property to those who want to experience a little piece of heaven and a relaxing carefree vacation.

We just returned from a great vacation at the Villa. The Villa was more beautiful than I could have imagined. The views were breathtaking. The staff was excellent and made you feel right at home. Teresa keeps the Villa sparkling clean and is a terrific cook. The info packet given to us before our vacation answered just about all the questions you can think of to ask about the villa and the area. The owners are quick to respond to any other questions you may have. Booking the Villa was effortless and pleasant. Excursions were set up right at the house all you had to do was get in the cab and go. We never go to the same place twice but I cant wait to go back. This time I will be bringing my nieces. I highly recommend this Villa to anyone that wants to experience a little piece of heaven and a relaxing vacation.

Our family (7 adults)recently stayed at the Villa de las Sirenas property and had a wonderful time. Everything was as noted on the website. The food was great, the house spotless and the pool kept sparkling clean every day. It was a few minutes' walk to the lovely Cofresi Beach which is not over-run with tourists. There are also several nice restaurants within walking distance. Brian and Patsi, the owners, provide a document with all the info you need to enjoy your stay with a minimum of fuss. We booked a couple of excursions (white water river rafting was the best!) through Gus, who comes right to the house to arrange tours, massages, manicures, taxis, etc. We really had a terrific time and do hope to return one day. The weather was great and with the wind that blows every day, not nearly as humid as we thought it might be. This is one vacation that we can't stop raving about to friends -- and even strangers.

There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said below. The house was wonderful, and with the addition of Air Conditioning in the rooms the sleeping was "no sweat"! This was the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken. My only regret was that we were only there for one week.

The house was really nice. It was very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool every evening and sitting out on the big veranda and looking at the ocean. I would recommend this Villa to anyone looking for a place to stay. The Dominican people are very friendly but very crazy drivers.

Just a wonderful stay.. The house is beautiful and comfortable...the service fabulous... Thanks again for making adjustments for us, on such short notice... We had a wonderful time at Villa de las Sirenas this past November. The villa is beautiful with picturesque vistas from all the verandas. We climbed the falls, drove dune buggies through the sugar cane fields, shopped, relaxed and ate the delicious meals prepared by Teresa. We definitely want to return next year !

We just completed a 2-week stay at Villa de las Sirenas, a new and wonderfully designed villa located in Cofresi, DR. We were pampered by the Villa's excellent staff. We enjoyed outings including the Catamaran trip (based from Playa Dorado) and Ocean World, which is in walking distance from the villa. We walked the mile-long beach almost every morning, came back to the villa for a swim in the pool, then had a delicious breakfast prepared for us by Teresa and Isabella. The rest of the days, when we weren't on an excursion, were spent soaking up the sun, swimming, and reading. All in all, this was a restful vacation, and one which ended too soon. We will return to Cofresi and to Villa de las Sirenas in the future.

This was our second stay at Villa de las Sirenas May 10 – 14. We liked it so much when we first visited in December 05 that we decided we would be back before we even left. Playa Cofresi is a small, laid-back, friendly community where people gave us such a warm welcome that we felt almost at home the second time around. We don’t usually go back to the same place twice but this may just become a regular spot for us, we love it!The villa is very spacious, beautifully designed and decorated and immaculately kept, the view of the ocean and mountains from the balconies and pool area are stunning! Looking out from your bed through the balcony doors at sunrise….. the colours….. oh, what a treat! It’s one of those moments when you wish you could paint.The rocking chairs on the patio by the pool – so comfortable, you could sit there for hours with a glass of wine, enjoy the views, the tranquility, watch the birds and be in heaven!The Jacuzzi corner bathtub in the master bedroom is a wonderful luxury addition to everything else. The water pressure in the showers is great!All the staff are excellent and looked after us so well, Teresa especially, thank you all! There are a few simple but good restaurants within short walking distance and more options a short taxi ride away. Or you can stay in and have Teresa prepare a meal for you.All the food in the Dominican Republic is so tasty, and the service so friendly!A large, well stocked grocery store is about a half an hour drive from Cofresi but if you organize yourself well, you can easily get away with one or two shopping trips during the entire time depending on how long you stay. There are a few little convenience stores within short walking distance where you can pick up drinks and other essentials, a gift shop and an internet café, and for a small place like Playa Cofresi, everything is actually very reasonably priced.Ladies or gents, if you want to pamper yourself a little, you can enjoy a very inexpensive massage without even having to leave the villa, alternatively there’s a small beauty shop next door to the gift shop or you can also make an appointment for a facial or other treatments at the spa at the all-inclusive resort across the road.We recommend the mountain tour, although you should be reasonably fit to climb the waterfalls. As the first 4 Canadians to rent the villa we are happy to report one of the best vacations we have ever experienced.It was a family celebration on the safe return of our brother/brother-in-law from service in Afganisthan. Teresa, Isobella, Julio and Narcissio made the stay exceptional. The villa felt like home and the outings introduced us to people with Maritime hospitality that made us feel like being home in Nova Scotia. We would recommend this villa and all it offers to anyone. The waterfalls are a true adventure (bring your own water socks) and we recommend a Sunday afternoon on less touristy beaches to enjoy watching DR families in action. The stay was fantastic. Best vacation we have all been on. Want to talk to you about booking for next year except this time we want to stay a few days longer.Your staff was excellent I felt like I knew them for years and they made the trip. You and your wife did a wonderful job with the house. It gave such a warm feeling to me and my guests and a very home like feeling. The only problem was my trip was too short!! We loved our first visit to the DR & Villa de las Sirenas. There were 11 of us, two families, so we used every bed, including the futon in the servant's room. Teresa and Isabella were wonderful managing the home,the shopping, and most meals. Julio is a gem! He drove us to a baseball game in our rented van and we all cheered for his team. Unique outing. The Dominicans really love their baseball! The Jeep Safari is absolutely not to be missed. Nine of us went all the way up the 7 waterfalls. Hard to describe if you've never done it, but what a kick! Our eldest daughter completed her four open water dives and thus received her PADI certification. We arrived on Christmas Eve which I would NOT recommend, if you like to celebrate Christmas. It did not seem like Christmas, it seemed more like just an ordinary vacation day, but every day after was a delight. We recommend renting a car or van from an agency ahead of time for your entire vacation so you can be more mobile. The roads aren't really THAT bad. We explored a lot with a rental van, but we wished we had secured it from the very beginning. New Year's Eve was a blast, too! Teddy's on the beach has great food and wonderful fireworks (on NY's Eve).

Spending our honeymoon at the Villa was the best thing we could have done. We felt completely at peace the entire vacation – enjoyed the views, the food and the remarkable people we met during our visit. We will certainly be back, next time, with friends. There were 9 of us staying at the Villa and not once did we have any problems bumping into eachother. The house was well kept and beautiful, the staff very helpful and the pool, mountains and ocean was a welcoming site every sunrise and sunset. The jeep excursion was well worth the $45 and we all recommend going. Our health didn't allow us to climb the falls but the kids enjoyed the challenge and the beauty. Basically, we just enjoyed the pool, being waited on and being all together again. Thank you Patsi and Brian for being so patient with us.

Thank you for considering our new villa for your "Dream Vacation". The beach is only 100 yards away and the view from our villa of Cofresi Cove and the ocean are breath-taking. Terasa, our housekeeper, makes your stay even more enjoyable with her delicious meals. Relax by your private pool of take a stroll on the beach. This will be one vacation you will never forget.
