Great place for the family, easy walk to the beach took about 1min. kids made it quicker. The house was excellent I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I couldn't believe how nice everyone was in SPadre, we have a handicap child and as we were walking the beach the beach patrol stopped and informed us that the city fire department had beach accessible wheelchairs. We went and they let us use it for the week and did not charge us anything. Ira, was great to deal with made sure we had all numbers, addresses, etc. I just hope we can get down there again this summer.

We thoroughtly enjoyed our stay at the townhome. Listing pictures are accurate and the entire property was clean. The patios were great for sitting and watching the ocean waves. Ira was very helpful and easy to work with. Plenty of great restaurants nearby and short walk across the street to the beach...Nice neighborhood and quiet... We would enjoy staying there again..

We stayed 2 weeks 2/11 - 2/25/12. Townhouse was everything we expected, large, clean and very close to the beach (less than a 5 min. walk). Ira was very helpful, giving us some great tips about the Island. Looking forword to our next stay.
Owner response:Dave and Fran, it was great meeting you and hope you enjoyed !!!

This an oldercondo that has been very well maintained and updated to provide nice furnishings. I recommend you bring additional seating for the living room. A folding canvass chair worked well for us as a nice change of pace from the sofa and love seat. The owners are really nice and we had the pleasure of going to several meals and walks on the beach with them. The beach view from the deck is great and the beach is very relaxing with lots of wave action and we saw fisherman, sail boarders, sand sclulptors, sea gulls, pelicans and other seniors (some juniors, too) getting their daily beach walk. We were pleasantly surprised y the great food at very reasonable prices. i.e $6.25 for the Mexican plate at Los Cabos, $10 for a tremedous breakfast buffet at the Hilton, the best pan-grilled grouper we have ever had at Pier 19 for $14 at dinner (enough for both of us) and $7 at lunch for 2/3 size serving. Baby back ribs at Louies Backyard were great for only $7.99. I have to stop now -- this is making me hungry! :)

We stayed in this townhome June 25-July 2 and it is exactly as described! It is very spacious and beautiful! About a minute and a half walk to the beach. The kitchen was wonderful for cooking and the views from the back balconies were fantastic. Ira was very thoughtful and good to work with. We would definitely recommend the home for a large family. There were only five of us but there is room to sleep ten comfortably. We can't wait to go back next year!
Owner response:We thank Caroline for her nice words

We had a pleasant time. Not exactly what we had hoped. We like a more open concept. Would be nice to have a TV in kitchen./dining area as we cooked most our meals in. Beautiful view from back to the gulf. Plan on returning to SPI next winter but will stay 2 months.

What a perfect place to enjoy Thanksgiving! The home was well kept and well maintained. Our kids loved the place, the weather was great and the beach which was just a short walk from the doorstep was fantastic. This home worked out in all aspects with its views, proximity and the location. The south padre island free shuttle service (The Wave) stops right outside the home (about 50 feet away) in the Gulf blvd. Also what we learnt is that there are no set-in-stone stops only as you can wave the shuttle to stop from where-ever you are on Gulf Blvd (no kidding). So that's a fun fact to know as the kids enjoyed the trip on the trolley to the lighthouse in Port Isabel. We even came back in the trolley. Sometimes you just want to chill and not have to drive. And when you feel those times, the trolley is right outside the doorstep and the ocean is right outside your doorstep as well. What else can one ask for! Here is the schedule of the "The Wave" for interested visitors who dont have a car or have a car but just want to chill without driving. Another useful nugget is that right behind Ira's home is the Inverness Condos on the Gulf Blvd (you can see this from the balcony). Just take the short walk to there and wave the shuttle! http://www.spireviews.com/wave-schedule.html To make a long story short, we have vacationed in many places and stayed in many different homes but we would still rank this place as being right up there for comfort, convenience and an amazingly good time. We will definitely be back!
Owner response:We thank you very much for the great reveiw and are happy you enjoyed your stay.

Feb. 27 to March 13, 2010 This townhome was perfect for us. We like to rollerblade the length of Gulf Blvd. and walk on the beach.....both of which were steps away. The upper deck off the back of the home is superb for sunning and relaxing. This area is very quiet.

The house was very roomy and comfortable. Just a short walk to the beach! We also really enjoyed a "sandcastle lesson" from "Sandy Feet" right by the house - look her up too if going to Padre. It was a lot of unexpected fun!!

Ira's place was great, comfortable with everything one would desire for a relaxing vacation. He even gave us a list of tried & true restaurants which we greatly enjoyed. I would say, Ira is a great host. Thanks, Ira

This is a great vacation home. We lacked for nothing while there...except the above mentioned corkscrew. Very quiet neighborhood and with an easy walk to the beach. Would love to go back!
