Our new, sunny, smartly-furnished Colonial-style home offers a perfect, private Vineyard vacation retreat. We are located on 1.1 green acres, set 100-feet back from a paved road just steps from the bike path and two miles from Long Point, a magnificent ocean beach with a pond for swimming and water sports.
Our convenient, mid-Island location also allows easy access to Edgartown Village, Katama (South Beach), Morning Glory Farm, Vineyard Haven, and quaint, 'up-Island' delights, such as Menemsha and Beetlebung Corner. Groceries, restaurants, health clubs and shopping are just minutes away.
But, you also will have a glorious time relaxing on our property. Our large backyard is flat, fenced-in and green, with plenty of space for outdoor games, and you will love unwinding in our 20 X 40 ft. pool and on our large back deck, which includes a gas grill and lovely, new deck furniture. We've installed a brand-new outdoor shower with a private changing area for your convenience.
Inside, our large, spotless, modern kitchen serves as 'the heart of our home,' complete with spacious white Corian countertops, maple cabintry, new appliances, including a refrigerator with an icemaker, dishwasher and microwave, and a center island equipped with chairs, and a table and chairs for breakfast or lunch. There's a separate dining room, too. Our living room includes new furniture, a flat-screen TV, a game table, a fireplace and easy access to our deck. There's a half-bath located off the kitchen.
Upstairs you will find four bedrooms. Our huge master suite has a new king bed, a new flat-screen TV, a spacious, en-suite bathroom with double sinks, a tub, and shower, a large, organized walk-in closet, and a ceiling fan. There are three additional bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with bunk twins, and the other with a queen bed. There is an ample hallway bath with a tub, shower and double sink.
And that's not all: Our basement is newly-finished, with a large, cheerful playroom equipped with toys and games for all ages, a ping pong table and a laundry area with a washer, dryer and folding area. Don't forget your laptop, because we have free WiFi.
We provide sheets and bed linens, but not towels. A cleaning fee will be deducted from your security deposit. We do not allow smoking on our property, and we do not allow pets.

This is a beautiful and well-maintained home a short drive from the center of Edgartown and beaches. Our favorite feature is the "in perfect condition" swimming pool and backyard. Late afternoon swims and bar-b-q's are a favorite. Our 3 children also love the playroom in the basement and we've enjoyed many family ping-pong tournaments! The bike trail is steps from the house and is a source of much family enjoyment. The owners couldn't be more friendly and helpful - the Martha's Vineyard Tips that is left for renters is publication worthy!! We have stayed in this home for the past 3 years and look forward to our time there this coming summer. Highly Recommended.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This is a beautiful vacation home within a short drive of Edgartown and the most beautiful beaches on the island. The house is in perfect condition, with all the modern conveniences, and a huge basement for the kids to play in. The most distinctive feature of this house is the pool, which is in excellent condition and extremely clean. There is a patio / deck overlooking pool with an outdoor sound system, so if you have young kids or teenagers, this is perfect. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly - there is a detailed information list ready for you when you arrive, so it's like checking into a luxury accommodation. We love this house, having gone there for a number of years, and plan to go back. I highly recommend this.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is a well-maintained home with a great layout for one or two families. The house was very comfortable for our families, which consisted of 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 10, 8, 4). It was nice coming back from the beach to use the pool and outdoor shower. Lots of ping-pong tournaments in the evenings! We are rather picky about cleanliness and condition of kitchen and this home easily met our expectations. The location is a few miles outside of Edgartown. Its an easy drive into town and we didn't find traffic to be too bad. Driving distance to beaches, again easy drive. I think that having a pool and yard offset not being right in town. Biking trails are very close to house. Biking on the island was the highlight for us. There are lots of good restaurants, nice shopping and plenty to do if you don't want to be at the beach all day. The owners are very pleasant, helpful and provided lots of great suggestions for our stay. Our only complaint (and its small) is that they need new fans in the bedrooms. We have been going to various beaches for the last 10 years and this is the first time we are returning to the same house. Highly recommend!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children.

We have already purchased new window fans for all four bedrooms, and we will be providing new stand-alone fans as well. Among other improvements, we also purchased a new, queen-sized bed for the "blue" bedroom, to replace the double bed that was there last year.

About the owner: We have rented on Martha's Vineyard for 20 years before buying property here, and know all about the 'good, the bad and the ugly' with some rental houses. Among the reasons we purchased such a fabulous home is that we wanted to use it for our family vacations, and we wanted it to be 'just so' when we arrived, i.e., spotless, well maintained with new furniture, fresh paint, screens without holes, a state-of-the-art grill (that works!!), plentiful deck furniture and loungechairs to relax. We know that you will love our home for your vacation as much as we do!! Enjoy!!
Why the Owner Chose Edgartown:
We love our convenient, mid-island location. We're so close to Long Point Beach and other beautiful beaches, up-island (West Tisbury, Chilmark & Menemnsha for sunsets!), the down-island towns of Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven, and we love our 'short hop' to the State Forest bike path!!! Our home is private, our neighborhood is quiet, and our road is paved!
