Perched on the top of a mountain, this one-bedroom, log cabin offers a spectacular view of the big valley that stretches from Andrews to Murphy. The wide front porch features a four-person hot tub and rockers for enjoying the view.
With large widows all across the front, you can enjoy the view inside and out. In the living room, above the gas-log fireplace, there’s a big-screen HDTV. And for enjoying them both, there are two rocker-recliners and a large sleeper-sofa. With central heat and air conditioning, Mountain View is a Smoky Mountain log cabin rental for all seasons.
The one-bedroom cabin is designed as a romantic get-away for two, with a hand-crafted log-style furniture in the private bedroom. Yet with a sleeper sofa that converts into a queen bed, Mountain View can comfortably sleep a family of four. The full bath features a walk-in shower with seat. There is everything you need to prepare all your meals at the cabin, including an outdoor charcoal grill. The fully furnished kitchen includes a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, coffeemaker, and dishwasher. And the dining area is framed with widows to enjoy the view.
And to round out your vacation, there is plenty to do in the area. Mountain View is just a short drive from the whitewater rafting and kayaking venues on the Nantahala and Ocoee rivers. That is in addition to all the great activities the North Carolina Smoky Mountains have to offer. Boating on Nantahala and Fontana Lakes You may bring your own boat or jet-ski, or rent at several area marinas. Fishing A relatively low number of boaters make Nantahala and Fontana great fishing lakes. You will find walleye, crappie, sunfish, trout, and bass. And on the Nantahala River above the gorge, you will find some of the best fly fishing spots in the eastern United States.
Whitewater rafting There are a number of excellent outfitters on the Nantahala River. Horseback riding Several nearby stables offer guided trail riding. Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, in nearby Dillsboro and Bryson City, offers scenic excursions. Mountain Biking The nearby Tsali trails offer some of the best mountain biking trails. Bikes can be rented at the Nantahala Outdoor Center.
