What a perfect retreat after " hustle and bustle" of a wedding. We will always remember your cabin as the place where we shared our first moments as husband and wife. Thank you for the use of your beautiful mountaintop cabin. It was perfect for our marriage and spiritual retreat. In fact, after being married for almost 18 years, this is our first honeymoon. We loved the snow and ice. The trees looked like glass. We realize the winter wonderland was a blessing from God! I loved taking things easy and not having to clean house and take care of five children. Your cabin is very clean and beautifully decorated. I finally feel like I have been able to "be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10....my favorite Bible text. May God bless you because of your "Mountain Blessings" you provide for others.

What a great cabin! So clean, comfortable, and well-maintained! You could sense the spirit of God in this place & that is an extension of your personal ministry and love for the Lord. Couch Bill McCartney, founder of Promise Keepers, once said that you could tell the character of the man by the countenance of his wife. I also think that you can tell the character and spiritual lives from a family's home! And this place shouts out your passion for extending God's kingdom and being instruments of His grace.

We are blessed!!! The cabin is beautiful and peaceful and we have been blessed to stay here this weekend. As I read through your guests' comments, I truly felt that I was reading a new chapter of Psalms---almost everyone gave praise to our heavenly Father, and I know that the peace and blessing of His presence rests on this place that portrays the glory of His creation so splendidly. It is wonderful that you make the blessing available for others to share, and Tom and Patty, I know that your lives will be blessed abundantly in this giving. As we sit enjoying the peace and quiet of Mountain Blessings, we are mindful that south of here, many in Atlanta are dealing with the aftermath of what will go down in history as the Flood of 2009. As we drove up from Florida earlier this week, on Monday, the 21st, we were unaware that, within hours after we passed through, Interstate 575 would be closed due to flooding. We are grateful for our time at the cabin and in Blue Ridge. Beautiful and a real treat!

We totally enjoyed Mountain Blessing. The views were so breathtaking. It was nice to meditate on the swing on the beautiful covered wrap around deck. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin. It was nice to relax reading a book and looking out onto the beautiful vistas. We had two days of rain but that even added to the coziness of the cabin. We loved listening to the rain on the metal roof. It was so much fun grilling out each day. We ventured into the beautiful surrounding National Forests during the day but were always happy to come back to this beautiful cabin. Early in the morning the various birds greeting us with a song. The bed was so comfortable that we could barely pry ourselves from it in the morning. The Georgia mountain water made the best brewed coffee we have ever had away. The accomodations were fantastic and the owners, Patty and Tom, were very attentive. This was a great experience and we already anticipate a return. We would highly recommend this rental to others.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful "home away from home" with us! The cabin is absolutely wonderful and the views are breathtaking. We ate breakfast every single morning on the deck, then sat there and talked, watched deer, rabbits, etc. It was great! We had so much fun this week, mostly relaxing, reading, playing pool, putting puzzles together, playing games and a little sightseeing. We truly enjoyed it, and your cabin is now our new "favorite." My idea of a perfect place to get married was in the mountains with all the color of the fall season. We hunted & searched the internet high and law until we found "Mountain Blessings." The pictures of the view were just as I had envisioned. However, you never know what to expect. When we arrived, I was overjoyed to find the description didn't do it justice! As our week at Mountain Blessings ends, we are rested, renewed & refreshed. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and we chose Mountain Blessings because we didn't want a week of sightseeing "have-to's" . We wanted a week of quiet & peace to draw near to Jesus & to each other. Our expectations have been exceeded. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. As we sit in this beautiful cabin on our last night, we feel so at peace. The surroundings are like home, but with the added bonus of panoramic mountain views. When we arrived, we spent the rest of the day taking in the beauty of the cabin. After sunset, we ventured into Blue Ridge. We ate lunch and bought apples & apple butter at Mercier's Orchard. We ate trout at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant. The food was delicious! We played a round of golf at Whitepath Golf course. If you love golf but don't like to feel rushed, go after 12:30 p.m. The course is narrow & beautiful and the cost was $28/person with a cart. We will leave in the morning feeling absolutely blessed to have stayed here. Thank you.

On our arrival to the Mountain Blessings Cabin, I saw mama, papa, and two baby bears at 411 driveway behind the iron gate. I was driving so I could not snap a photo to my disappointment! I was so excited and they are etched in my photo mind! We rode the train which was a joy as well. Mercier Orchard is a must! We love it very much and look forward to our coming back. God richly blessed us daily.

Often in traveling, anticipation exceeds realization. And though we knew the cabin would be very nice--lovely is more like it! After seeing nice places that looked straight into the side of a close mountain, we had decided that would be okay. In retrospect, my husband said as our car climbed the steep incline toward our destination, God chuckled. And well, He should--for the glorious surprise He had for us! As we climbed out of the car and got our first glimpse of the beauty in front of us, we both, after picking up our chins,said an audible "Thank You, God for such beauty--more than we hoped for!" That sentiment has continued throughout our stay--and like the beach we love--this is ever changing and yet constant. The house has been a delight. The windows and openness add a special dimension. It's incredible going to bed and getting up seeing these mountains!

What a reception we had! After being greeted by a big black bear eating berries, approx. 200 yds. from the cabin, we encountered a lot of beautiful butterflies around the bushes in front of the cabin. Having been raised in Germany surrounded by mountains, I have missed them for so long, living in NJ and now FL. This week made up for it; what a view! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast on the deck in the cool air, looking at God's wonderful creation. The cabin is so comfortable and tastefully decorated!

I must say our first words when we drove up also were "WOW" and "Glory!" And my next thought was we were getting a glimpse of heaven and God's handiwork! To see the majesty and beauty of God has been breathtaking every moment. Even through the storms and rain (everyday) we have seen God's power and control over all things. We have truly felt at home in your place and sensed God's presence with us. The first morning we were here, the Lord led me to several scriptures about mountains. Isaiah 2:2-3 was one I enjoyed. "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord." And we truly feel we have received mountain blessings. Thank you for a special time. Hope we can come back again.

Our first word was "WOW" which was repeated over and over again during our stay. The view, the peace and quiet, the first class quality of the cabin, and on and on. It has been a fantastic experience, from the first (nervous!) climb up the mountain to the last minute we left. We saw bright sunshine, pouring rain, clouds rising out of the valley, and two beautiful sunsets. There has just been a flash of lightning and an almost silultaneous clap of thunder. We live in the UK - one of us comes from Scotland, and the other from England. We have mountains, of course, but the mountains of North Georgia are as good, if not better than any we have ever seen. From our Cabin Gusestbook: Tom & Patty, This has been a wonderful, relaxing time for my husband and I. We missed our boys, but needed this time together alone. The Cabin is our new favorite - so peaceful, confortable and beautiful with the incredible view! We hiked nearly 25 miles in 3 days. The other day we rowed and rafted the upper and middle Ocoee - What fun! Out in the the middle of God's Creation. We also enjoyed playing scrabble by candlelight and the prayer times on the porches overlooking the mountains. Thank you so much! We've never felt so welcomed to a cabin before. God Bless You!

We shopped, hiked, drove all over this country and ate some wonderful meals at local restuarants. Goodfellas is great! This was a needed "post holiday" get-away for us and we feel refreshed - But we are not reaty to go home. We saw 5 deer behind the cabin one afternoon. We also enjoyed hiking, reading, that crazy (31 mile long) gravel road called "A ride to Cohutta Wilderness", picking blackberries, steak on the grill, calzones at Blue Jeans, and - my personal favorite- many, many, many moments gazing out across those mountains from the porch swing. It is so peaceful and quiet, yet so many things to do. After our cozy Thanksgiving we visited Fort Mountain, caught 20 1/2 pounts of rainbow trout at the Trout Pond, and went horseback riding at Adventure Trails. We had so much fun. We've stayed in many cabins around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Townsend but this one is by far our favorite. The antique shops are wonderful - We went to Blue Ridge, Elijay & McCaysville (by train) and all the antique shops were good. I, or we, have nothing but good things to say about our stay here.
