Barrio de Tubac - Living Room - Tubac, Arizona Stay in our beautiful home and enjoy all that this wonderful part of Arizona has to offer. If we had our choice it would not be available, but unfortunately we have to earn a living until we can afford to move to this special place. We have decorated it as our home and we do love southwestern furnishings so be prepared for something out of the ordinary. If you like this part of the country you will love Tubac and its surroundings. Our two-story townhouse (ex model home) is in the beautiful Barrio de Tubac which offers the privacy and security of a gated community. We have a private gated courtyard entrance and enclosed back patio and we are a short walk from the community clubhouse, pool, and spa. The accommodation comprises two master bedrooms (one king and one queen) each with their own bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, walk-in closets, and toilet. Each has a private patio with glorious views of the Santa Ritas and Tumacacoris respectively. Downstairs you will find a spacious, comfortable living area including a luxurious, fully-equipped kitchen, dining area with patio doors, entrance hall with bathroom and a large living room with the amenities you would expect in your own home. We are a short walking distance from the Village of Tubac which can be reached by road, footpath, or if you prefer via a section of the historic 'de Anza' trail which borders the scenic Santa Cruz River. This latter trail is slow if you are anything of a birder! Tubac Golf Resort is just minutes away where golfers can challenge themselves on the par five that featured in the film 'Tin Cup.' The border town of Nogales is only 15 minutes away, providing the gateway to satisfy your urge to shop for Mexican bargains. Hiking opportunities abound whatever your appetite for challenge. Birders will know Southern Arizona as one of the prime birding areas in the country, but for others the shopping, gallery viewing, and dining in Tubac will surely fill your days and evenings - you will surely want to visit the many excellent restaurants in the village, and make sure you stop in at La Vina the wine and cheese store. We have arranged a local contact for you to help ensure that your stay is stress free.
