My family and I are from Australia, and spent three enjoyable days in this lovely apartment in Ruhpolding in September 2012. We had been travelling in other parts of Europe prior to arriving in Ruhpolding. The apartment we rented had a large bedroom with a double bed and a separate bedroom with twin beds, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The rent was very reasonable. It was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and very conveniently located in the town centre. It is about 5 to 10 minutes’ walk from Ruhpolding train station, and about 5 minutes’ walk to a nearby large supermarket called Edeka. Although the apartment is near the town centre, it was quiet and there was not much human or vehicular traffic nearby. The owner Inga was very helpful right from the beginning when we first made our initial booking of the apartment, and provided us with a package of useful information about Ruhpolding and her apartment. Although we had to make changes to our booking, due to unforeseen itinerary changes, she was very understanding and tried to help us to accommodate our changes. She offered to offer to pick us up from the station without charge, and had to make two trips as our train to Ruhpolding was delayed initially. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Inga’s apartment. We cannot find any faults with the apartment, and would definitely recommend it to our relatives, friends and potential visitors. Ruhpolding is a fantastic base to stay if you want to travel to Salzburg, Munich and King's Lake and Eagle's Nest.... My husband and I were so fortunate to come across this beautiful vacation home! We had all the amenities we needed. The property was well maintained and clean. Inga, the owner and her family made us feel so welcomed!! I also had many questions while I was planning our trip and Inga was very helpful in answering my questions via email. Everywhere we went we encountered hospitable people willing to help us and that meant a great deal to us since we we don't speak German. The train station and bus transportation is in walking distance and unless you want to travel the beautiful countryside on your own you don't really need a rental car. We took day trips to Munich, Salzburg,and Bertesgarden. I can't say enough about the food...we had freshly baked bread and danish almost everyday and we especially liked the restaurant Janos and the Wittelsbach Hotel.
