  We LOVED staying at Hale Malia. We were on the Big Island recording a CD in Waimea and the home was a perfect place to have the musicians and friends stay during our recording session. The home is very well set up, you dont need to bring anything except your food and clothes. Great wine glasses, cookware, knives, plates, coffee maker, rice cooker, beach towels, beach chairs, comfy beds, BBQ and accessories. It is truly a home that is loved by the owners and you can feel it. The views are amazing, the birds each morning are perfect and the quiet setting is very relaxing. After a day at the studio the musicians came back to the home, we cooked together and played more music on slack key guitars and ukuleles, the shape of the front room made the music sound amazing. The open floor plan is a great size and with the doors open to the lanai, you find yourself staring outside all the time. Star gazing was also amaing with a full moon rising over Mauna Kea! We will be back for sure and have already recomended this lovley home to many friends! Mahalo for making your home a wonderful vacation home!

  Thank you - staying in your beautiful place made us feel very much at home, and also far away from our ordinary lives. The furnishings are beautiful and serene and we made good use of your broad selection of cookbooks. The whole place has been arranged so thoughtfully and was truly appreciated.

  Our second visit to Hale Malia was as enjoyable as our first. The stars were spectacular. The Milky Way was just amazing. We saw plenty of newborn pipi! One morning a half dozen were congregated above the gate while their mamas nibbled the grasses in the culvert.

  Beautiful, just beautiful! Peaceful, filled with love. Nature, great food, loving people. The best equipped rental house we've ever seen!

  This is a lovely house and a superb setting. I can't really imagine what more one could want. We put your boogie boards to good use. Thanks so much for sharing your house. We would love to bring our family back to it.
