This has to be one of the most beautiful locations in Cozumel. The villa is just a few yards from the sea with its own heated pool. We spent many happy hours in both! We didn't know what to expect of Villa Sol Haa as the pictures we'd seen looked too good to be true. Were we in for a pleasant surprise. The place was amazing as were the wonderful staff who looked after the place and us. We could have had many more family members with us as the villa is very spacious and equipped to an exceptionally high standard. It was lovely having our own very friendly staff to keep the place immaculate and even to shop and cook for us when we were feeling lazy. The cuisine was fabulous, incredibly cheap and our lovely Mexicans even cleared up the kitchen afterwards. We felt like royalty. The island itself is beautiful and full of history. We found the locals very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. There are great beaches at Cozumel but you have to be careful in some areas because of the currents. Fortunately our beach was stunning and great for snorkeling as the water is crystal clear. The island boasts about having some of the best diving in the world and it's easy to see why with such clean water and coral reef. The great thing if you do dive is that the dive boat actually picks you up from your own beach frontage. Needless to say we had amazing weather on our trip and we would definitely like to return to this paradise.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had a great time at the Villa. The house was very nice; everything was clean, kitchen had everything you needed, air conditioners work great, and master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The grounds were also very clean, and tropical. The beach was very nice and the snorkeling just out front and to the left and right as far as you could swim was excellent. The best part for me was sitting at the edge of the pool, drinking a beer, and watching the sunset over the Caribbean. We will definitely rent this villa again in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had a thoroughly amazing stay at Villa Sol Haa in January, 2011. The house and grounds were even nicer than the pictures. The grounds are lush with a variety of tropical flowers/trees. The villa is well designed and had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. It was obvious to us that the owners and staff take pride in keeping it updated and well maintained. The staff, Daniel & Sylvia, always greeted us with an ‘hola’ and a smile, and were very helpful. It was so perfect being on the ocean-front. The beach has beautiful white sand and the ocean is, again, a more amazing blue than the website pictures show. We had a great time snorkelling out front with the kids, what a bonus to have incredibly coloured fish within 20 feet of the shoreline. The pool is really pretty and a great alternative if you’re not an ocean swimmer. Lounging under the large palapa on a hot day with the view of the pool and beach was very nice. We were happy we rented a car and found it really easy to get around. Mega, the main grocery store, is on the same road as Villa Sol Haa, and it was easy to find the food we like. The rest of Cozumel is easy to navigate. We swam with the dolphins and snorkelled next door at Chankanaab, went on a guided tour of the ruins at San Gervasio and visited Punta Sur Ecological Park. It’s worth a drive (or daytrip) to the other side of the island, the beaches are lovely. To top it off, we had a pair of pelican’s come hang out in the pine tree out front every evening! Beautiful. Thanks for the stay Sol Haa, we’ll be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent a week at the Villa Sol Haa a couple of weeks ago and we haven't stopped thinking about it since. We were impressed by the beautiful villa and tropical grounds, the fantastic staff, the unbelievable snorkling and the great food. My wife has snorkled and been scuba diving all over the world and she was blown away! It was all we could do to get the kids out of the water to eat every day, they had an absolute blast. We ate a restaurant called Kinta recommended to us by Nick Heins and we were very impressed, and I am a chef! The far side of the island was an excellent day trip for some body surfing and long beach walks, we packed a picnic and spent all day with the locals and some Margaritas at Mezcalitos beach shack. We found getting around the island very easy as all the streets are set up on a grid. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful, Karen and Ricardo took us scuba diving which was amazing. They are wonderful and took great care of us. We felt right at home at Villa Sol Haa and settled in immediately, of special note are the super comfortable beds. Everything was clean and new and worry free and any of our logistical questions/concerns were quickly answered by the owners, Nick and Erin. We will be booking for another trip and sending friends and family. Gracias Holiday Cozumel for a fantastic experience!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We just returned from our second visit to Cozumel and the fantastic Villa Sol Haa. To get right to the point, our biggest daily decision was usually "To the pool or directly to the ocean-an extra 20 steps...?" My wife and I shared a room facing the ocean with amazing views and the soothing sound of the waves washing up on the beach. The beds are unbelievably comfy!!!!! The kids had a great time, and even started snorkling with us. We visited the ruins at San Gervasio, the long beach on the far side(15 minute drive) of the island, two of the great beach clubs which were a only a seven minute drive and our special beach bar called Mescalito's for fabulous Margaritas and some quality hammock time. I am a chef and was impressed by the delicious meals we had at Kondessa, Quinta and one of our favourites, Mister Taco! The villa is beautifully maintained, the staff are top notch, friendly and helpful, even taking care of the kids while we went out for a date! THANK YOU! The pictures on the web site can't begin to show the beauty of the villa and it's immaculate grounds. We had many questions for the owners which were answered promptly and in detail. Thank you to Holiday Cozumel and the Heins family for giving us a great and much needed vacation. We have forwarded on the link to Holiday Cozumel to our friends and family with an unequivocal recommendation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

- Wanted to send you a quick note regarding our stay last week in Cozumel...first of all, the house was great! It was exactly as described and everyone was more than comfortable. It was very clean and spacious. Even though we were hampered a bit by Tropical Storm/Hurrican Ida, we had a great time. The only thing missing was the "sun". Laura & Fernando were absolutely wonderful. They took care of our every need, which I hope werent too many. For example, we almost always took care of getting our own taxis (unless they knew we were going somewhere and insisted). But, if Fernando saw us leaving he would always walk out with us to make sure drivers knew where to take us and to negotiate the best price. My spanish is pretty good but it was great to have him looking out for us. Laura was so friendly and helpful as well. They are both extremely hard workers and obviously take pride in their jobs. You have a great asset in them & cant say enough good things about them. Karen & Ricardo were also great. They came to greet us on Sunday and Karen came back on Tuesday to check in to make sure we were ok. I wish the weather had been a bit better so we could have snorkled with them. Maybe next time... I appreciate all of your help and the opportunity to stay in your great house. It was very private, safe and well cared for. I would love to come back and bring my kids & can hopefully plan that in the future. Again, thank you so much!! It was a memorable birthday for me.Did you find this review helpful? We took our entire family (ten of us) to Cozumel for Christmas this year and were looking for accomodations that would work for ages 70 to 5 years old. Sol Haa really was perfect for us. Everyone had their own room and bath with comfortable beds. Karen was most helpful and Ricardo was teriffic at certifying the two teenagers. We had wonderful dives with him and enjoyed endless snorkeling right in front of the house. Loved Paradise Beach for Christmas day and were totally entertained by the cruise ship cabaret singers and dancers who had the day off. Only problem was not enough hot water at house. Karen was working with Daniel to solve the problem. We can highly reccommend the house and staff, plus Cozumel in general. We felt very safe there and went into town frequently without any problems. Enjoyed shopping for meals and eating at various restaurants in old town. Thank you Nicolas!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had an amazing time. The house is perfect. The staf was very helpful. We really enjoyed the pool and the snorkeling off the private beach. We were very close to many activities. Some of us swam with the dolphins, the men went on a fishing trip, we played at Paradise Beach (but we decided our beach was better). We cooked all but one of our meals. The grocery store is conveniently located as is shopping. The only meal we ate out was at Kinta. Great food. Overall it was awesome!!!!!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We would love to share our special villa with our guests knowing that they will enjoy Cozumel and the wonderful people of the island as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island:
As Canadians traveling to Cozumel we found a very rare beachfront lot while visiting Cozumel and purchased the lot . Cozumel is a great family oriented island and our kids love our beach and lush tropical property. We built Villa Sol Haa shortly after purchasing the property and have enjoyed staying at our villa every opportunity we can.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
The snorkeling off our beach is some of the best on the island. With the calm clear waters kids of all ages can enjoy the aquatic life in as little as 2' of water . My villa is on a rare beachfront lot and we have full time caretakers that clean the villa 6 days per week.
