It is minutes away from golf, tennis, shopping, and restaurants on the adjacent bike path - yet its location on a sandy street in South Forest Beach affords peace and quiet.
Large, light-filled rooms, decorated in a beachy theme with hardwood floors and vibrant color schemes, provide a warm and inviting atmosphere conducive to family and friendship. Accommodating up to sixteen in five bedrooms, it is perfect for two or three families vacationing together, two foursomes, or even a tennis team. Screened porches, upper and lower living areas, outdoor dining, and pool deck seating areas provide an opportunity to gather everyone or escape for a little time alone or in small groups - a must when vacationing with family or friends.
The Main Level includes a screened outdoor lounge and dining area (seating 16)with spiral stairs to the pool area, eat-in kitchen/dining area, office area, living room with 35 inch TV, VCR, DVD and stereo with CD changer, dining room, master suite with private bath and king-size bed, second bedroom with two double beds, and shared full bath.
The Pool Level provides outdoor seating around the pool and on the front porch, outdoor hot/cold shower with changing room, second living room with TV/VCR/DVD, second master suite with private bath and queen-size bed, fourth bedroom with two double beds, fifth bedroom with four bunks, and a shared full bath.
Nearly new, this Thomas Hiatt design was constructed by Westwind Construction. Interior design is by Beach Buddies Design Studio of Atlanta, Georgia. Landscape design is by Site Solutions, also of Atlanta.

We stayed in the beautifully decorated home with 6 kids and 7 adults. It was very comfortable and has such a good energy about it. It is a great location and a great price. We can't wait to come back.

The owner was helpful throughout our rental process - from allowing us to break up a week, to answering questions about the property. Everything was exactly as described and pictured! It was clean and well maintained, and very comfortable! We absolutely loved the enchanted walk through the moss-covered trees to the beach! (Even though when we got to the ocean we found lots of jellyfish and didn't stay long!) Since that was the case, we were really glad to have the private pool to enjoy! We also liked walking next door to the Marriott Grand Ocean Ressort and getting "umbrella drinks" at their poolside bar which is available to anyone, although only resort guests can use the rest of the property of course. We rented bikes and took advantage of the many bike paths . Riding to nearly Coligny Plaza for coffee in the mornings , for shopping, and for playing in the fountains at the beach park was pure pleasure! Our dinner "splurge" was to Harbor Town where we ate at Topside at the Quarterdeck,overlooking the Harbor! The "earlybird specials" made it an affordable and really wonderful meal! There is truly something for everyone at Hilton Head, and #1 Bayberry is the perfect place to enjoy it! We would stay there again, and would recommend it to a friend! Thanks for sharing it!

Thank you for letting us rent your wonderful beach-house. My wife loved the open floor plan and the gigantic screened in porch and the kids couldn't get enough of the pool and the lizards running along the top of the fence. The location was perfect. We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for our large group. My college son brought a group of 9 friends and they all fit in the downstairs rooms where sleeping in late was the norm. My friends and I had the upstairs rooms so it worked out perfectly. Access to the beach was so convenient. What a great location. The neighbor next door gave us tickets to the Heritage which was so nice. Thanks very much!! We will definitely be back.

We returned a week ago from staying 3 nights in this rental on Hilton Head Island. Before our stay my communication with the owner was top notch. This property was wonderful and met all of our expectations. We had 3 children who loved the room with bunk beds (and a TV). The remaining 5 adults had ample space and bedrooms to choose from. The living areas and kitchen were well kept, clean, and modern. The owners take pride in this property and it shows. We loved the art and reclaimed antiques! When there was a problem with the Wi-Fi, the property manager was there within an hour to get it up and working. We will definately choose this property again if we travel to HHI.

Our family stayed here in February and fell in love with it. It's on a sandy road with just a short walk to the beach via the neighborhood access right at the end of the street. My favorite spot to relax was on the HUGE screened in porch right off of the main living area with kitchen and living room right there. There are many fun nooks and crannies in this home to discover and it is beautifully decorated with beautiful furniture while being kid friendly at the same time. Our family of 12 spent a great week here and I would rent this home again......if I vacation in HHI anytime soon. It's because I'm moving there. Bottom line: If you're looking for a great spot near fun shopping (Coligny) and Sea Pines Forest Preserve. All of our needs were met and addressed beautifully.
