  We have made it a tradition by now to return to lovely Villa Sunset Delight over Thanksgiving and our stay was perfect again. House and garden are always kept in perfect condition and we really feel like at home. As always, the kids loved the pool, harvesting some of the bananas and oranges in the backyard and kayaking in nearby Malacha or Sanibel...do not miss a kayak tour through Ding Darling Sanctuary on Sanibel! We will definitely be back this November. Andy and Allison

  This was our third stay at Villa Sunset Delight and once again it was a fabulous two months. We hated to leave, but we have reserved the villa again for 2 1/2 months next year. We have stayed in many places in Florida, but Cape Coral is our favorite place and this villa is a gem. There are so many places to go and things to do... shelling on Sanibel Island, the art community on Matlacha, fishing on a Charter. This year we took a water ferry from Tarpon Point Marina to Fort Meyers Beach - so much easier than driving in traffic. The villa is so well appointed you may not want to leave. The pool is lovely and very well maintained. We fished off the dock a few short steps away from the lanai and enjoyed a glass of wine while sitting under the Tiki hut. We watched the boats go by and saw dolphins and a manatee in the canal again this year. The yard is beautifully landscaped and very well maintained by an excellent gardener. We can not say enough about the owners. They take such pride in their Villa and insure that everything is in perfect condition. They go to great lengths to make sure your stay is very enjoyable. So looking forward to next years stay.

  This was our second stay at Villa Sunset Delight and once again it was a fabulous two months. We hated to leave, but we have reserved the villa again for two months next year. We have stayed in many places in Florida, but Cape Coral is our favorite place and this villa is a gem. There are so many places to go and things to do... shelling on Sanibel Island, the art community on Matlacha and Key West is only 3 1/2 hours away by ferry. This year we enjoyed an airboat ride in the Everglades. The villa is so well appointed you may not want to leave. The pool is lovely and very well maintained. We fished off the dock a few short steps away from the lanai and enjoyed a glass of wine while sitting under the Tiki hut. We watched the boats go by and saw dolphins and a manatee in the canal again this year. The oranges we picked from the newly planted tree were delicious and the huge lemons found their way into seafood dishes and cocktails. The yard is beautifully landscaped and very well maintained by an excellent gardener. We can not say enough about the owners. They take such pride in their Villa and insure that everything is in perfect condition. They go to great lengths to make sure your stay is very enjoyable. So looking forward to next years stay.

  We experienced our second perfect stay at Villa Sunset Delight and again enjoyed the wonderful combination of relaxation by the pool and exploration of the area by car, bike and boat. The house is so comfortable and in top notch condition that we decided to stay 2 weeks this time. We are already looking forward to returning in 2011.

  Villa Sunset Delight has been nicely remodeled and well maintained. The landscaping is beautiful in spite of a very severe winter, and includes citrus trees along with the palms and many other plants. The lanai and pool area are very comfortable which make the Villa that much more enjoyable. The heated pool is very well maintained and the shallow area at one end makes it accomodating for small children. This Villa is on a gulf access canal in a quiet nieghborhood with friendly nieghbors on both sides. Fishing in the canal - you may catch mangrove snapper and pompano along with catfish (throw the catfish back). We saw a manatee in the canal one day and a dolphin was seen in the canal on another day. The owners are very responsive to any questions or needs and have an excellent local property manager to help. The property is very neat and well supplied for all your needs. The Villa's location in SW Cape Coral is close enough to Cape Coral for easy access to the restaurants and shops, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.The owners provide a folder with excellent restaurant, shopping, and local attractions. We found their recommendations spot on!! . We would recommend this Villa to anyone as a place to enjoy the sun.

  We spent a wonderful week with our two children and one of our grandparents at Sunset Delight over Thanksgiving. We couldn't have wished for a better house rental! We have done several house rentals and home exchanges in Florida, South Carolina, Maine, Vermont etc. and this turned out to be on top of the list. The house is very spacious, beautifully appointed and all furnishings and appliances look brand new. We felt immediately at home with a generous open concept combining a very comfortable living room, a spacious dining area and a super tidy and upscale kitchen overlooking the pool area. All three bedrooms are spacious with ample closet space and each equipped with a flat panel TV. The master bedroom with its beautifully designed private bathroom is cleverly separated from the other two bedrooms and provided great privacy. We also loved the pool area which provides for great outdoor living space with a large table and several comfortable deck chairs. Our kids spent hours at a time in the spacious pool which looked brand new and squeaky clean. The lanai is just a few steps away from the canal and the owners’ dock area right behind the house, where we spent many hours enjoying the sunset under a large Tiki-like canopy. The house has a meticulously cared for grass and garden area with a number of palm and citrus trees with oranges and limes just about to ripen when we were there. The owners equipped the house with such attention to detail which left absolutely nothing to be desired: Cable TV, DVD player with a great selection of DVDs, WI-FI, a printer, a stereo unit with an iPod dock, a brand new Weber grill, every conceivable kitchen utensil, a huge selection of local travel books, a couple of mountain bikes, pool toys galore, beach chairs and towels etc. (down to the supplies of shampoo, toothpaste and soap samplers in each bathroom). The owners also provided detailed information about the house and hugely helpful recommendations on what to do, where to shop and where to eat. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood surrounded by canals and we loved exploring the area by bike. A couple of supermarkets are just a short car ride away. The location is a great hub for many explorations up and down the coast and we found the owners’ very extensive list of recommendations re: beaches, shops, and excursions immensly helpful. We have already booked Villa Sunset Delight for 2010 and can't wait!

  Nach zahlreichen Urlauben in Florida, zum 4. mal in Cape Coral und zum 1. mal in der Villa Sunset Delight waren wir mehr als zufrieden. Trotzdem das Haus schon etwas älter ist, ist es sehr sauber, gepflegt, gut ausgestattet und mit vielen liebevollen Details versehen wie kleine Nachtlichter, die sich bei Dunkelheit automatisch einschalten. Es fehlt absolut gar nichts, man fühlt sich sofort Willkommen und genießt die welcomes drinks auf der schönen sonnigen Terrasse. Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal, ca. 30 Min. zu den versch. Golfplätzen sowie nach Ft.M. Beach und 5 Min. zu Publix. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter sowie auch zu den amerikanischen Nachbarn war von Anfang an sehr herzlich. Gerne hätten wir das Haus gleich für das nächste Jahr wieder gebucht, leider schon besetzt. Wir können die Villa Sunset Delight zu 100 % weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an die Hausbesitzer für einen wundervollen dreiwöchigen Aufenthalt. Gerald und Marita R.

  Auch bei unserem zweiten Aufenthalt war wieder alles bestens. Angefangen vom netten Kontakt im Vorfeld, der Sauberkeit bei der Ankunft, der Zustand des Hauses, etc. etc. Einfach top. Nochmals ein herzliches Danke an die Vermieter.

  Mit unseren beiden Kindern im Teenager-Alter haben wir 14 Tage unseres Florida-Urlaubs in diesem schönen Domizil verbracht. Wir können nur Positives berichten. Die Betreuung von Seiten der Vermieter war super, bereits im Vorfeld sind wir mit guten Tipps und Infos rund um Haus und Gegend versorgt worden. Die Abläufe bei Ankunft und Abreise sehr unkompliziert (Key-Locker) und als wir bei einem Gewitter-bedingten Stromausfall den Hausmeister anriefen, war dieser innerhalb weniger Minuten zur Stelle und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit und freundlich. Bei unserer Ankunft erwartete uns eine Getränke-Auswahl im Kühlschrank. Das Haus selbst ist bereits älter, jedoch geschmackvoll & hochwertig renoviert und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. An vielen Kleinigkeiten merkt man, dass die Besitzer das Haus selbst nutzen und sich viel Mühe bei der perfekten Ausstattung des Hauses geben. So sind in den Bädern Nachtlichter in den Steckdosen, die Küchenausstattung ist sagenhaft und es gibt eine Auswahl von CDs und DVDs bei der für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei sein dürfte. Auch wir hatten für 3 Tage ein Boot gemietet, wobei wir die Fahrt auf den Intracoastal Waterways gar nicht so einfach fanden (flache Stellen und Gefahr aufzulaufen) und Fahrten im Golf von Mexico etwas langweilig. Da hat uns persönlich das Bootfahren in Kroatien mit seinem klaren Wasser und den schönen Buchten zum ankern besser gefallen. Aber das ist Geschmackssache und hat überhaupt nichts mit dem Haus zu tun! Zum Schluss noch zwei kleine persönliche Geheimtipps: In der Künsterlerkolonie Matlacha auf dem Weg nach Pine Island gibt es zwei wunderschöne Galerien - Island Visions und The Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens. Hier kommt man aus dem Staunen nicht raus und findet auch für kleines Geld nette Kunstwerke und Mitbringsel. Zum Baden hat uns neben den Sanibel-Stränden der Bodwitch Point Park in FM Beach gut gefallen. Wenn man über die Brücke nach FM Beach kommt direkt rechts abbiegen und bis zum Ende durchfahren. Dort gibt es einen eher kleinen Parkplatz mit günstigen Parkgebühren (1$/Stunde) und der Strand ist breit und ohne Hotelbauten und Entertainment. WCs und Dusche sind vorhanden. Mit dem praktischen Strandset aus dem Haus (4 Liegen auf einem fahrbaren Trolley samt Sonnenschirm) und einer Kühltasche kann man hier entspannte Stunden verbringen ohne den teils lästigen Trubel anderer Strandabschnitte in Fort Myers. Die gesamte Gegend ist ein Eldorado für Muschelsucher und Strandspaziergänger!

  Wir haben unseren Urlaub mit unseren 3 Kindern (8,11,13) im März/April 2012 in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Bereits vor Anreise im Ferienhaus wurden wir sehr nett betreut und mit vielen Informationen versorgt, die es uns ermöglichten uns direkt nach der Anreise sehr gut zurecht zu finden. Das Ferienhaus haben wir in einem außerordentlich sauberen Zustand vorgefunden und es war mit allen erdenklichen Dingen ausgestattet, die es für einen perfekten Urlaub braucht, von der Küchenausstattung über die Pool- und Strandausstattung. Die Räume haben wir genau so liebevoll gestaltet, wie sie auf den Bildern zu sehen sind, vorgefunden. Insgesamt war alles genau so, wie wir es uns nach den Informationen vorgestellt haben. Das Boot, das wir uns für eine Woche gemietet haben, konnten wir an dem Anlegesteg festmachen. Der Weg zum River war nicht sehr weit und wir konnten dank des Bootes herrliche Naturerfahrungen machen. Unsere Kinder haben sowohl die Bootsfahrten, als auch den Pool mit den vielen Poolspielaccessoires sehr genossen. Sehr gerne werden wir wieder einen Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus verbringen.
