The information given on the website was accurate and backed up by excellent factsheets and hand drawn maps which were very useful in pointing us towards nice places to eat at sensible prices and interesting places to visit. Simon & Sarah were very efficient and friendly to deal with and the staff at Mullins Bay House were just lovely. We would certainly recommend this to others and hope to return ourselves next year with a larger family group. Best activities for us were: swimming with the turtles and snorkelling over coral reefs, barbequeing freshly caught tuna and dolphin at the house and wandering along beaches at sunset. Best eating out was at Casareep Cafe in Speightstown, Ju Ju's beach bar and Dazzlers restaurant/bar a mile or so south and Tides in Holetown which was heavenly.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stay with my parents and sister at Mullins Bay House in September. We really loved it. The house is more beautiful than the photos in the site. It includes also the pool and the garden. The taxi driver was waiting for us at the airport with the key, as agreeded with Simon. Anthea is very, very nice. She gave us a lot of attention, and was very patience, trying to understand my parentes (in Portuguese!). Even the car rentals that Sarah indicated me was great. Barbados was really a very good experience to us, and Sarah and Simon house had contribuited so much to it. We are very honnored to know that we are the first brazilian family to stay at the house. And, for sure, next year, we will come back. This time, with more people. My brother is jeaulous because he could not came with us, because my sister in law is pregnant. Talking about it, the house is lovely for children. There is one very charm bedroom to them. Sarah and Simon, thank you again for sharing your home with us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thought Mullins Bay House was first rate and the gardens were wonderful - so many different trees, plants and flowers - all very popular with the humming birds and green monkeys which were regular visitors. We found the peace and the general atmosphere very relaxing. The house is very well equipped and comfortable with everything we needed. Our favourite memories are: enjoying the sunsets on Mullins Beach with a rum punch in hand, the excellent food at the Fish Pot restaurant and the warmth of the welcome from the staff who made us feel completely at home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have just had a fabulous holiday at Mullins Bay House. The house is both beautiful and practical, spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Anthea the housekeeper and Andrew the gardener could not have been friendlier or more helpful and worked extremely hard. The garden is absolutely stunning and the pool area a great extra despite being so near the beach. I would highly recommend this property and we all agreed we would stay again in the future. Your info and service was excellent. We have been to Barbados many times before but the friends we travelled with had not - they said it was the best holiday they had ever had. Our favourite things to do are: St Nicholas Abbey, Andromeda Gardens, beach walk at Bathsheba, cocktails at the Roundhouse Bathsheba, snorkelling at Folkestone Marina Holetown, Fishmarket at Sixmens, swimming on Gibbs beach, walk through Welchman Hall Gully, go on a yellow bus to Speightstown and have lunch at the Fisherman's Pub. Dinner at the Lonestar is also a great night out if you pre book a beachside table and aren't too bothered about the actual meal!!! Go for the location and nice waiters. A good contrast was Chris's place up the Shell Gallery Road from Gibbs - great local food, music and dancing and very cheap. Favourite meal at Ju Ju's - beachfront chattel house hidden between Lonestar and Dive Shop on main road - slow service but scrumptious and 'real'! Re the house itself, the garden and pool are shared with the two other apartments adjoining and although the place is suitable for anybody I would definitely check who is in the other properties before booking if possible unless you are booking it all. We had a lovely quiet week as two older couples were in the other houses but on the last night a baby arrived and it did disturb us. The properties are quite close together or joined through a connecting door and I would not have liked to share with small children or a noisy party although of course one is out quite a bit. Overall a simply fantastic place to stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I cannot recommend Mullins Bay House highly enough. The owners are wonderful and the house is great. Mullins beach is lovely. It made a real difference staying in what felt like a home away from home. We ate a lot at Zacchios for lunch, which was very child friendly-the staff were great and they have a designated kids menu. I would recommend the “Sea Eye”. It’s a glass-bottomed boat with a difference! My 4 year old loved it and got a chance to swim with the turtles as well. Finally, I must speak very very highly of the Sitar restaurant in Holetown, where I had the best Indian food ever. This is not your post- midnight-after-the-pubs-shut fodder we get served over here (in the UK). Beautiful food, lovely décor (nary a mottled carpet in sight!) and the owners are wonderful. It is not inexpensive, but the wine list is intelligent and it is good value for money (especially as they do take- aways and will wrap up whatever you don’t eat for you to take it home with you! I was reticent but was assured that was the custom!) I I cannot recommend Mullins Bay House highly enough. The owners are wonderful and the house is great.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
