Built in 2001 and completely renovated (everything from the 'drywall and in' is NEW, including the furniture) in the winter of 2014, 12th & Central Avenue ('12th & Central') is a designer's showcase.
Finishes include box moulding, hand-scraped wide planked hard wood floors, high-end stainless steel kitchen appliances; central air conditioning, several wide screen TV's; a front and rear deck, and off street parking. All in the most desired section of Ocean City!
This home was designed with comfort and style. This lower level home boasts 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Each room was designed with your comfort and family needs in mind. The gourmet kitchen features beautiful white carrera marble counter tops with a high-end stainless steel appliances package, complete with a gas cook top and large oven. A large capacity refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, a quiet clean dishwasher, overhead microwave and wine refrigerator complete the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen also includes plenty of countertop space and a large rectangle island that seats 3 comfortably.
The dining room includes an oversized farm table. The farm table is set with 6 leather-covered dining room chairs and can accomidate seating up to 10. (folding chairs are in the hall closet for large parties)
The living room features two large brown, soft leather couches; a 60 inch LED flatscreen HDTV; Blue Ray/DVD player; gas fireplace (for winter use only) and easy access to the beautiful and spacious front porch.
The front porch is adorned with vintage-style awnings, an outdoor ceiling fan, two winged backed chairs, and an 'indoor quality' sectional sofa. Due to its thick and rich cushions, you would swear the sectional sofa was an indoor piece of furniture! The durable, wrap-around awnings make the front porch enjoyable in any weather. Even on the rainiest of days, the porch stays completely dry - not a drop! On the hottest day, enjoy how cool the front porch is with its sun blocking awnings, outdoor ceiling fan and the cool shore breeze.
The 2nd Floor hallway begins with the Master Bedroom, it features a luxurious king sized bed, 42 inch LED flatscreen TV, his and her dressers (2), a large closet, rear private deck and a private full bath.
Adjacent to the Master Bedroom, is the Junior Master Bedroom (2nd Bedroom), it too includes a luxurious king size bed! The Junior Master is equipped with a 32 inch LED flatscreen TV, large bureau, closet and a rear deck.
The 3rd Bedroom is a child's dream - The Bunk Bed Room! This well-appointed bedroom sleeps 4 with two sets of adult sized bunk-beds (with XL Twin mattresses). There is also a trundle mattress under one of the Bunk Beds, just in case you need the Bunk Bed Room to sleep 5! A large closet and tall dresser finish the Bunk Bed room.
The 4th Bedroom features two twin beds, a tall dresser, night stand and a large closet.
Immediately adjacent to the 4th Bedroom is a large hall bath featuring a tub & shower unit and large vanity.
At the end of the hallway is the laundry room. Its complete with a full size, free-standing washer and a full size, free-standing dryer.
Unique to 12 & Central is its combination 5th Bedroom and Bonus Family Room. Located on the lower level, just a few steps down from the Main Level, the 5th Bedroom/Bonus Room is the second living room every shore house desparately needs - but rarely is included!
Flexibility is the key to this room! Use the 5th Bedroom as a second family room during the day and as a large bedroom at night. The 5th Bedroom has a half-bath and is steps away from the fully enclosed outside shower. Invite friends to sit on the large 10' x 8' sectional sofa to watch a movie on the large 47 inch LED flatscreen TV. Once its time for bed, convert the sectional to a pull-out, queen size bed. Its a very nice sectional -And, Yes -its comfortable. When the sectional sofa is open to the queen bed, it actually sleeps three (3). Two in the queen bed and one on the very deep-seated sectional. The portion of the sectional that does not open, is very deep. Remove the back pillows and its the size of a twin bed! A queen sleeper, plus a twin bed - all in the same room. This sectional has accompanied 3 kids quite often. The 5th Bedroom has a locking door for dressing and bedroom privacy.
The 5th Bedroom/Bonus room has a 47 inch LED flatscreen TV; a BlueRay DVD player, coffee table; tall dresser; and a half-bath.
The 5th Bedroom/Bonus Room is great for families with lots of children - especially teenagers. Most rentals in Ocean City have one living room.
Ever have that rainy day - when everyone is trapped inside! Its tough. Stressful! Not at 12 & Central, kids can go to the lower level 5th bedroom/family room and hang out.
Essentially, the 5th Bedroom/Bonus Family room provides a place for the kids to hang out after the beach or to watch a movie, while the adults can enjoy the elegance of the main floor living room--kids free!
Five bedroom properties are typically rent for well above $6000. This 5 bedroom home is very reasonable at this rate.
In addition to the 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, 12 & Central has a fully enclosed private outdoor shower; rear garage; 2 outside decks (front and back); off-street parking for 2, central air, ceiling fans in every room and is only a 3 minute walk (2 short blocks) from the beach.
We are located on the ocean side (east side) of Central Avenue between 12th and 13th street. (the back alley is shared with the bay side (west side) of Wesley Avenue.
This home is a lower level town house, of a building that has two, separate town houses contained in the same building. The building has 5 levels in total. Like many Ocean City homes, it is designed in a front-to-back, split-level configuration. This lower level town house (VRBO# 514275) has 3 levels. The three levels include: The Street Level; The Main Level and The 2nd Level.
The Street Level houses the garage (in the rear); the 5th Bedroom/ Bonus Room and a half-bath.
The Main Level houses the Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room. The front porch is at the same level as the Main Level.
The 2nd Level, is in the back of the home and it consists of 4 bedrooms, the 2nd floor hallway, laundry room and 2 full baths. The rear deck is on the same level as the 2nd floor level. The Upper Level Townhome is NOT apart of our home and is separate in everyway (parking, access, different ownership, etc,)
All living areas, with the exception of the garage, are fully accessible from inside the town house. You enter the garage from the back alley and through the overhead garage door. As noted earlier, the town house is a front to back, split-level configuration, so each level is only separated by 6 to 7 stairs.
12 & Central rents ONLY weekly from June to September. We do NOT rent partial weeks or weekends. NO EXCEPTIONS. Check-in (2:00pm) and Check-out (10:00am) is on Saturdays ONLY.

Unit ONLY rents weekly from June to August and from Saturday to Saturday. To reserve a week tenant must put down a $1,000 deposit. The remaining amount due will be spread over three (3) equal payments. A security deposit of $500 will be added to the above rate, assuming tenant does not cause damage or breach the lease, $500 security deposit will be returned 10 days after check out.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Gold Coast:
12 & Central is the best choice, because it is near all of the local attractions, but its NOT on top of the attractions. For example, the biggest attraction is the Boardwalk. The stores on the Boardwalk end at 14th Street and the Boardwalk continues another 9 blocks south, unobstructed by stores. It's nice to have the best of both worlds. At 12th street you can walk north and enjoy a slice of Manco and Manco Pizza (11th); hop on a ride at Castaway Cove Amusement Park (10th) or get a bucket of caramel popcorn at the World Famous Johnson's Popcorn. If crowds aren't your thing, walk south and enjoy the calming sounds of the sea and sun swept sands of the beach and escape the hustle and bustle. Another attraction is the Shopping District of Asbury Avenue. Asbury Avenue is 1.5 blocks west of 12 & Central and is full of restaurants, antique shops, jewelry stores, art gallerias and other high-end boutiques. Stop by Boyars Old Fashioned Market (14th) and get a sandwich or a ready made meal; don't want to cook, but want to stay-in, get an Italian Dinner at Piccini's (13th). When the sun rises, walk one block north to 11th and Asbury and get a cup of coffee at the brand new Starbucks. Enjoy the large sycamore trees from our large awning covered front porch. It's just the right atmosphere for reading a book or people watching. What is great about this location is you never have to move your car. Park your car out back or secure that coveted spot on the street and just leave it.

The awnings and comfortable furniture make the front porch useable in ANY weather. No uncomfortable resin chairs or sun beating down on you. The front porch truly lives like an indoor space! It is one of the favorite spots to be by most tenants. The open design of the main living area can handle the largest of families. The 5th Bedroom / Bonus Family room is a real treat for the kids - and is a place they can go to give Mom and Dad a break!. These 3 common areas (covered front porch, main living room and bonus living room) make it very comfortable for multi-generational rentals. Grandparents, Mom and Dad, and the kids all have there own place to retire to at the end of a long, enjoyable day in OCNJ! Last but not least-the price! Most 5 bedroom homes are $1K to $2K higher in price. Not many, if any, are at this price point. There is always risk, renting site unseen, not here, everything is new. New kitchen, appliances, hardwood floors, carpeting, furniture, window treatments, doors, electronics, etc. No expense was spared. Take a look at the beautiful pictures!! We are sure you will agree.
