Approximately one third miles of private paved roadways and a parking area serve the property. Along the sweeping 300 foot waterfront with western views of great sunsets a dock offers direct access to Lake Wassookeag boating and fishing.

Maine Residence: Complementing its lakeside setting, a distinctive contemporary residence contains 3000 square foot with four bedrooms/three baths, fully equipped kitchen/dining island, living room with fireplace, a stunning 900 square foot Solarium family room with heated Mexican tile floor and completely enclosed with thermal-pane glass, and walking out to a 600 square foot lake view deck.

Court House: A spacious knotty pine paneled 1600 square foot cottage with three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, located close to the tennis court.

Lake House: The quaint knotty pine paneled 1000 square foot lakeside cottage with three bedrooms, one bath, kitchen/dining area, living room, and an awesome view of the lake.

Lake Wassookeag in Dexter, Maine is approximately 35 miles from Bangor and 45 miles from famed Moosehead Lake. Air service is available from Bangor International Airport and a regional airport in Dexter.

For the Winter snowmobilers and cross-country skiers, this home is located in the heart of Maine's snowmobile and ATV country with easy access to groomed trails including ITS 84 which gives you access to virtually the entire state. Downhill skiing is available within 30 miles.

White water Rafting trips on the West Branch of the Penobscot, Dead, and Kennebec Rivers are all in close proximity.

  • What a wonderful getaway! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The homes are beautiful. There are several boats... kayaks, paddle boat, canoe... to explore the beautiful and very clean lake. Our days were warm enough to play on (and in) the lake and the nights cool enough to roast marshmellows in the fire pit. We enjoyed strolling into town and shopping at Reny's. The kids enjoyed the nearby playground. Wonderful place for a large group to get together!

  • What an absolutely wonderful week at the lake. Thanks to the both of you for putting together such a classy and relaxing rental property. Everyone that stayed during our week wants to return in a year or two. My wife spent some time in the Dexter museum. She told the women that we were from the San Francisco area and the women said that she had heard that we were in town. I guess good news travels fast.

  • This was an ideal location for our large, extended family to meet for an idyllic vacation together. We spent most of our time enjoying the lake and compound but also made easy day-trips to Bar Harbor and the fabulous Moosehead Lake. The days were warm...the nights were cool and the living was easy. I highly recommend it.

  • Beautiful private grounds, clean lake, kayaking, loons, campfires--it was a wonderful week. The kids played non-stop in the water. Warm days & cool evenings with a velvet sky filled with stars. Town is near enough for quick trips for supplies, then back to paradise!

  • This is a great property. Very clean - very modern - very well supplied with the kitchen things you need, etc. The lake is beautiful - and the yard is nice and big for wiffleball, etc. I've stayed here twice and had a great time both times - highly recommended.
