A short distance away from the house, there is a large enclosed L shaped pool (12 by five meter, in two directions), with a diving board, with many stone terraces set amongst shady trees where you are sure to find refuge from the summer heat The house is well positioned for access to the local village(by foot) Aix en Provence (by bus)and others major provencal towns, cities and beaches.
The House: This 18th century farmhouse is rich in character and charm. It's thick walls and leafy surroundings enable it to keep fresh during the summer months, essential in the provencal climate. On the ground floor, you have a large living/dining room, with an impressive stone fire place and staircase leading to the bedrooms. Off this room, you have a fully equipped kitchen/dining room and also a TV room and utility room. All rooms have access to outside terraces. The upper floor has three bedrooms, one double bedroom with its own bathroom, the others, one double, one with twin beds, share a bathroom. All have views over the garden, down to the pool. There are two double bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor. There is private parking for three cars behind the house.
The house is 3 km from the picturesque hill top village of Ventebren, However 2 minutes from the house you have a local supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, and tobacconist, where you can get all the basics for a stress free holiday, 12 km away you have Aix en Provence, a charming, lively Provencal town with its daily markets, restaurants and shops, You have a choice of many beaches about half an hour away, with the cities of Marseille, Arles, Nimes, Avignon, the Luberon National park, with its beautiful villages and countryside within an hours drive, The international airport of Marseille and the new TGV station are about 20 minutes drive away. |
