Our log cottage sits on a 15' high Point over-looking beautiful Alexander Lake affording 180 degree PANORAMIC WATER VIEWS.

Cathedral ceilings in both the living room and the kitchen, each with its own magnificent native stone fireplace, add to the beauty of this serene lakefront getaway.

In Winter indulge yourself by sipping a hot cocoa in front of the cozy fireplace reading a great book, or wander down a country lane on a frosty morning. In Summer enjoy swimming, boating and fishing right from your own private dock where you have sun the entire afternoon until sunset. In Autumn view the spectacular Fall foliage right from your kitchen as you gaze across the lake at the beautiful changing of the leaves, or take a scenic drive on one of New England's country roads. Year Round enjoy spectacular sunsets.

The cottage has been completely redecorated. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with a full-size bed, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped.

The "QUIET CORNER" is considered by many to be New Englands Antiquing Capital. We are 40 minutes to Providence, 45 minutes to Hartford, and 55 minutes to Boston. Mohegan Sun and Foxwood Casinos are 30 minutes away.

  • When I first arrived here and pulled into the driveway, I was literally speechless (which takes a lot!)over the panoramic view. I have just completed my second wonderful stay at your beautiful, cozy cottage. My first stay was during the summer months and now it is fall. Both seasons offer a fabulous reason to come back and see what the next season will bring to Lake Alexander....a winter wonderland, I am sure. The beautiful lake during the summer months was most refreshing and the magnificent fall foliage surrounding the lake is breathtaking. Sunset Point is truly "heaven on earth". I have travelled many places and Sunset Point ranks among one of the most beautiful places I have visited. Thank you, Jane and Neil, for opening your charming home to me.   • My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this lovely cottage on Lake Alexander. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to have a comfortable vacation and the water is warm, clean and perfect for swimming and kayaking. We had a relaxing and peaceful stay and have already started planning when to come back!

  • If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with the beauty of nature and enjoy the feeling of discovering hidden gems, then this lakefront cottage is for you. My family and I spent Memorial Day weekend here at Lake Alexander, and a wonderful time was had by all. Jane and Neil, thanks for sharing the spectacular view.

  • WOW!! What a spectacular place! The lake & the surroundings are exactly as you described - incredibly beautiful, serene, & relaxing. This ambience extends into your cozy & well-appointed cottage. You have everything imaginable to make your guests fell comfortable - love ALL the kitchen utensils, the music CD's (so organized), DVD's. It was so enjoyable to be in a CLEAN & welcoming house!   • The cottage and setting were just lovely. I grew up in the area and spent many summers at this lake. I was so happy that my memory of this beautiful lake did not disappoint me. As far as the accomodations, the cottage could not have been better. The beds were extremely comfortable and the furnishings, as well as kitchen supplies, were top-notch.   • Jane and Neil, Thank you so much for opening your lakefront cottage to me and my family for our vacation. It was all that you had advertised and then some! We really had all that we could possibly have needed and, while we didn't have completely perfect weather, we had enough to do indoors, with your music, movie, book library and board games available. Our 5-year-old son just thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the warm, clear lake and we also enjoyed the excellent fishing with largemouth and smallmouth bass, as well as sunfish and yellow perch. Our son caught the biggest fish he's ever caught there! We also had a chance to visit Mohegan Sun to shop and have lunch. Again, thank you.

Your webste depiction is spot on. While most wesites attempt to deceive the viewer, yours is exactrly as it plays out in life., "What you see is what you get." This is not a rental property but a home, a home that anyone could be envious of. Like you know, my wife and I grew up in the area, so touring the area meant more to us than most. For anyone interested, this home is a vacation. My family can not wait to see which week I can rent again next year.   • My husband and I stayed here the week of July 14-21. The cottage is beautiful. We loved the stone fireplace. The lake was lovely and very quiet. I would definitely come back!
