This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this condo & we loved it just as much as the first. Very spacious, bright, airy. Very homey, yet modern. The proximity to the pool & hot tub was great too! Spent every breakfast on the lanai, enjoying the view. The cherry on top is the beach chairs, towels, coolers, boogie boards, & umbrella we were able to bring with us to the beach!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

Thanks again Joni. You can't go wrong with this unit,the kitchen has everything we needed,Beach towels,chairs,coolers,ect.all in the unit for our use.Best side of the building,great ocean and mountain views.very quiet.have stayed at the Maui Banyan before.our favorite place to stay.We will be back next year. Maui Banyon is my favorite complex on Maui. I love being far away from the Kaanapali tourist crowd and still enjoy perfect beaches, great food and shopping. This condo was great. Some condos in this complex have not seen an upgrade since it was built, but this one has been tastefully done and was very comfortable. We were very comfortable the entire time. (Oh, the elevator in the building did break down for a day, and this unit being on the 4th floor was quite a trek to get to). This owner also has another unit on the first floor and we will be staying in that one April 2013.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This competitively priced well appointed one bedroom 2 bath condo is central to Kamaaole Beaches and the shops along South Kihei Road. The queen size bed is firm and comfortable and the kitchen is well stalked with dishes, cooking utensils and small appliances. The unit offers excellent views of Haleakala sunrises and ocean sunsets. The beach is a short five minute walk. Although we had a rental car during out two week stay, one could function well without if your objective was to stay put and relax. Joni and Joe the condo owners were very responsive to us when making our arrangements. If Maui is on your travel itinerary I would seriously recommend you consider staying in this unit at the Maui Banyon.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Overall we had a great experience at the Banyan. The condo was very clean and the property was well maintained. The condo had all the extras (snorkel gear, cooler, beach chairs, etc) which saved money and made the beach that much better. The only downfall is the long walk to certain units but this one is close to many parking areas and the pool/grill area. I'll be back again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Hi Joni, A quick note to thank you for sharing your condo at the Maui Banyan. I have been to Maui many times and stayed in numerous condos and I have to say I enjoyed your unit more than any other. It is close to the beach and is equipped with everything one could need. I really liked the layout - the master bedroom was done with lots of care and was a great place to rest at night. The two bathrooms was also great for a one bedroom. I can't say enough about how much I liked it. About the owner: My husband Joe and I live in Auburn CA.. We both work full time, but we try to get to the condo in Maui about every 6 months to make sure it is ready for our guests.
Why the Owner Chose Maui Banyan:
We love Kihei for it's weather, it's proximity to the ocean, and for the ease of getting to all areas of the island. Additionally, Joe's parents also own condos in Kihei so it makes it easy to accomodate large parties.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
In our unit you get both sunrise (over Haleakala) and gorgoeus sunsets. We love the privacy that the 4th floor gives us, especially since there is a very large open space between us and the condo complex across the way. The beach just across the street is wonderful, there's a walking 'path' from our beach all the way to Wailea and it's all along the beach. It is just comfy. homey and a great palce to stay
