I rented this apartment because of the proximity to the Mozarteum University. It really was only a 7 minute walk. A beautiful walk along the river Salzach passing by the Mirabell Castle, where i spent a lot of time, just sitting there and relaxing. From the Mozarteum you practically only have to cross the river to get to all the other touristy sites, like the Getreidegasse, Residenz, Dom or the Festung Hohensalzburg. All the details in the description of the apartment were correct. And we got a friendly welcome with lots of details by Roman, the owner. He seems to be a true hospitality professional and he knows every interesting detail and story about the city. The apartment was clean and everything was in working order. There is access to the roof top terrace just across the hallway wit fantastic panoramic views. (The view from the grand balcony of the apartment is great, too!) Since the train station is only minutes away, there are lot of commodities around: shopping centers, bars, (internet)cafés, restaurants and public transport. i would like to recommend the Augustiner Brewery, with its great beer garden and halls, its beer and food is delicious and famous! I definitely recommend this apartment to my friends and i will certainly return next year. Roman! We are coming again! Owner response: Dear Reader, Dear Prospect! Thanks to ratings of guests like John, who not only enjoys the beauty of the city of Salzburg, but also the comfort of the "Salzburg Apartment", this "home, away from home" becomes more and more popular. I am very happy that guests, like him realize, that this location is not only within 5 to 15 minutes from everything, it also offers a great view and most important, it is really affordable. Since I am a professional "Austria Guide" and Tour Manager, I could help you with practically anything concerning your stay. From transport to tickets, from tours to trouble-shooting! All year long - winter sports or summer festival, ask me and and I will inspire You to have a memorable stay in this picturesque city and its surrounding lakes and mountains. The Hills are alive! - Be my guest! your host Roman

Salzburg apartments is a wonderful place to stay. There was a mixup with our reservation upon arrival, but Roman quickly got it straightened out. We had a spotlessly clean apartment with a huge balcony that overlooked St. Augustines Abbey and the River. The fireworks on New Years Ever were unbelievable from this vantage. Both the old and new city are easily within a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Roman was always available by phone and happily answered any questions. During the planning stages for our trip he gave wonderful recommendations upon request for activities and things to do in Salzburg. I would highly recommend Sazburg apartments.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was a very nice place to stay. The apartment was clean, relatively well equipped and in a very convenient location. We enjoyed the balcony. Roman was great to deal with - he answered emails promptly and was very welcoming when we arrived. The listing is accurate and everything was well maintained. We would be happy to recommend it to anyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, offering fantastic panoramic views and all the comforts of home (dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, etc) Things future renters should know are: the internet is not free, although is it a minimal fee (3 euro/day), it is an added fee that you should be aware of. The property manager was a bit absent minded, and because of that we waited at the apartment for over an hour for our key, and showed up early on sunday morning unannounced (the day of our check out)....so my advice to future renters is to have talked everything out so there are no surprises at the end of your stay. Minor complaints aside, the apartment is a great place to stay for your Salzburg holiday. So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye......Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

A fantastic apartment with stunning views over Salzburg. Close to the train station, public transport and the city center. The apartment has everything you would want in a holiday apartment as well as s brilliant balcony from which you can watch the sun set over town. The owner was out of town the weekend we visited, but sent instead a friend, who was very helpful and friendly. Understanding the automatic blinds can be a bit of work for the technically challenged, but all round a fantastic apartment.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Did you find this review helpful? Danke, l.g.Recommended for: People with disabilities, adventure seekers, pet owners, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
