Absolute Oceanfront Deluxe - 3 Min. Walk to Town - See Video
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose Kona Reef
In 2004 we purchased this beautiful condo because it was just the kind of place we most liked to stay and knew our family and friends would love the oceanfront location too. Since our home is close by, we make sure it is always in tip top shape. It is located close to town so you don't need to take the car every time you go out. You don't need to walk on the highway either. There is a lovely public beach right next door too. The Kona Reef is a well maintained complex with oceanfront pool, gas BBQs, covered parking and good security
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
There is snorkeling gear, beach towels, chairs and equipment, a picnic cooler and even binoculars to watch the ships, surfers, dolphins and whales in season. There is a high-speed DSL and WiFi internet connection for those who must stay connected even while in paradise. The kitchen is well equipped and even has matching dishes.
Kialua-Kona is a wonderful village with the real Hawaii feel, and it's an easy drive to the rest of the activities on the Big Island. The Volcanoes National Park is less than two hours drive south, and Hilo and the north end of the island are less than 2 hours the other way. The water on the Big Island is clear and warm -- the best snorkeling and diving in Hawaii. If golf is your game, we have world class courses nearby. Kona is known for its deep sea fishing too. Did I mention our unbeatable weather? I can't say we have it all, but I can't think of anything that is missing!
We hope you will stay with us and enjoy our paradise.
Bruce and Alice Brooks
Farmers market with fresh fruits and veggies as well as many art/craft items. Just a few blocks from Kona Reef.
Beach park adjacent to Kona Reef. Great sun bathing and for advanced body boarding.
Easy walk to restaurants and shops along Ali'i drive and the waterfront.
Owner's Map of Kona Reef
We were frequent visitors to Hawaii and stayed at many different condos over the years. The Big Island was always our favorite. We retired here from Monterey, California. Monterey was beautiful, but the fog and cold got to us and the water was too cold to enjoy. Now that we live here I can snorkel and paddle with the Keauhou Canoe Club almost every day.
Being retired we love talking to our many guests and we have kept busy doing upgrades and equipping this condo with everything we would like to have in a vacation condo and hope you agree.

We had a very comfortable stay in this unit. It was very clean on arrival and lived up to all the photos on the website. The owner was very responsive to any needs. The oceanfront set-up is so relaxing to sit out and enjoy the sound of the surf. We always prefer the Kona Reef units as it is an easy walk to town every evening for dinner.

My wife and I recently stayed for a week in to attend and celebrate our sons wedding. All the comforts of home right on the ocean, as well as beach and snorkel equipment and just about every other thing you need for a nice comfortable stay. Walking distance to everything was convenient too. Thank you for a wonderful stay....Aloha

Stunning view and location. On the water, walk to the favorite restaurants, all the ammenities, quiet (except for the roar of the ocean). We visit Kona 3-4 times per year. This condo was the best. The owner even left us a basket of fruits and island snacks. We felt like royality. I hesitate to tell you how great it was, because it may be booked next time I want it. We'll be back.

The condo was wonderful with many thoughtful, unexpected touches such as snorkel equipment and welcome fruit/goody basket. The view from the lanai was picture-postcard perfect. We were content to stay on the lanai as much as possible and just listen to the waves crashing on the rocks. And while you are close enough to all the Kona restaurants and shops, you are two or three easy walking blocks away, so it's quieter than being right in the middle of downtown Kona. I've already recommended this place to a coworker and would return there myself in a heartbeat.

What a great condo! Clean, nicely decorated, and located right by the ocean. Our favorite times were sitting on the lanai while reading or eating breakfast and dinner. Pods of dolphins swam by every morning, and sea turtles often ate in the tide pools in the lava rocks below. We had our two teenaged daughters with us. We gave them the bedroom because they sleep in late, and we took the fold-out couch in the livingroom. We didn't think there was a chance that the couch would be comfortable, but it was, and the kids reported the bed was comfortable, too. Bruce was great to work. There were no surprises, the experience was great, and I would return to this condo again - and have already recommended it to my friends.

We stayed here 4 nights in mid-November 2010 during our honeymoon. This condo was awesome. The owners put so much care into making it seem just like home (gift basket waiting for us on arrival, snorkel gear, beach towels, CD player, DVD player, etc.). It was very clean and just a short walk to the nearby tourist area too. The common pool and BBQs were great. On more than one evening, we would take a swim in the pool, BBQ up some meat, and then relax the evening away on our lanai with the sunset, ocean waves, and sound of Hawaiian music playing in the background. We highly recommend this unit.

The Kona Reef Condo was a true highlight of our vacation. The unit is very clean, comfortable and you cannot ask for a better location. There is on-site underground parking. The view from the balcony is just perfect, with the waves crashing below. There are some excellent little touches too, the owners pay attention to the little details that really make you feel welcome.

We loved our week at the Kona Reef D-26 condo! The ocean-front lanai is worth the price of the entire week and we enjoyed eating breakfast and/or dinner outside every day. The inside is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well-equipped if you want to eat in. If you want to eat out or shop, the condo is a short walk to the middle of downtown Kona. It's a great round-trip morning walk to the ocean spot where the Ironman folks train for that competition. We hope to return to this resort and to D-26 in the future. We have never stayed ocean-front in Kona before but now we will do it every time, preferably in our new favorite place.

Thank you, again, for maintaining such a nice spot. A very small item but to see a fresh, sealed, scrubber versus the usual which have been used for who knows how long was an indication that you and your wife really do make that extra effort. The fruit basket was most appreciated as were all the amenities; virtually nothing was missing and I thank you for a very pleasant holiday. I look forward to staying with you again next Fall.
