'Beach Break' is a SEMI-OCEANFRONT home that offers 5 bedrooms, two full baths, two half baths, a game room with POOL TABLE table, a private swimming pool and hot tub, as well as a prime location directly across the street from unspoiled beaches. 'Beach Break' has something for everyone. Beach Break is centrally located with walking access to restaurants and shops.
A short walk across the street and you can enjoy a beautiful un-crowded beach. Surf, fish, collect shells, or just relax. Enjoy breathtaking views from the deck or cool off in our private pool. 'Beach Break' offers a nice open floor plan with multiple decks to view the ocean, and all the amenities you would expect. If you have children, they will love the game room and pool after a full day on the beach.

The house was great! You could see the ocean, but you couldn't hear it. There was a ton of traffic on the street in front of the house. The walk to the beach was not bad - maybe 5 minutes for a normal person. The pool and the hot tub were great! The house was fairly well maintained. It's 9 years old, so the owner needs to start thinking about replacing some of the furniture and mattresses. The coffee pot did not work, so we bought a new one and called the owner. He said to leave it, and he wouldl repay us. The owner was always reachable and easy with which to work. I would stay here again if we ever go to the OBX again. We really didn't do anything but eat, drink, and enjoy the sun. American Pie is a block away and is a good place for ice cream.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was our 2nd year in the Beach Break OBX rental. All I can say is it was fantastic again. Weather too was perfect! I would recommend this home in a heartbeat. Location is great directly across from the ocean approximately 5 houses to public beach access. It is well equiped, has a good view of ocean and very spacious. We LOVE it. Our week adventure included 4 adults 50ish, 4 young adults 20-25 and one 14 year old. Needless to say it was a very busy household but never a dull moment. With the beach, the pool, the hot tub & game room and oh not to forget the Olympics were on in the evening there was never a lack of things to do. Mid week we did get rain one day so me being the planner said lets go south and take the Oracoke Ferry. We loaded up 2 cars and off we went. Oh believe me they were not happy we were driving 1.5 hrs to put our car on a ferry, but I said “humor me you will have fun”. True to my word we had a great “rainy” day experience. We took the free ferry over to Oracoke and traveled around the island. We then parked and walked around in the warm rain and had a great lunch/dinner and a quick stop to the see the Oracoke lighthouse. Then back in the cars on the ferry and off we went looking forward to a quick stop at Sonic. We are from NY so Sonic is a fun treat for us. We ended our family vacation with a great meal at Miller’s Restaurant on the Bypass. Reviews were great and we were not let down. We had about an hour wait so cocktails on the pier were enjoyed with many photo opportunities. Once seated, the restaurant is spacious and as a party of 10 we had plenty of room. Service was great as was the food. We enjoyed Founder, scallops and awesome Yellow fin Tuna and oh yes a burger of course. One of our favorite things to do, because it is not an option in Western NY is to utilize the outdoor shower. This is what I look forward to most. It is so refreshing to shower outside with the blue sky or the stars over head. The indoor showers were only used by one of us. As for the outdoor shower there was always a line. Something you would never think of with a house with 4 bathrooms. Next year due to a family wedding our Outer banks adventure will have to be put on hold, but believe me I will be counting the days until our next trip. About the owner: We are a family of 5 and love everything about the beach. Surfing, fishing, sailing and beach-combing are some of our favorite activities when we are in the Outer Banks.
Why the Owner Chose Kill Devil Hills:
We chose this home for the location and size. The house is centrally located within walking distance to some of our favorite restaurants. The beach is directly across the street so getting there many times a day couldn't be easier which is important with young kids. We also love the pool and hot tub - a great place for the family to hang out. With 5 bedrooms and sleeping 12 people, we have plenty of room for friends and family.
