GrandView is convenient, comfortable and definitely not a 'cookie cutter' cabin. We also have a two other pet friendly cabins that welcome dogs right between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg--'Swaying Pines Chalet' (VRBO® #18856). Or you can try TreeHouse Hideaway in Pigeon Forge (VRBO #134504). It also welcomes pets. Click our BLUE MIST CABINS website link below for more photos.

If you'd like to bring your dog, we ask that your pet is current with its shots and is on a flea and tick control program. Our pet fee is a flat $50 per dog. We welcome multiple pets, too, with owner approval. If your dog is crate-trained, we encourage you to bring it along so your pet will feel more comfortable and secure while on vacation. And yes, we welcome larger breed dogs with approval.

My wife and I (and our two dogs) had a wonderful week. Inside, the cabin is unusually comfortable, with very nice rustic aesthetics. The mountain view is beyond gorgeous. The immediate area provides a nice walk and some very good bird watching, and the residents of the area are very friendly. If your thing involves the Pigeon Forge tourist attractions, that's only a 5-10 minute drive, but if you just want the quiet of nature, those tourist attractions might as well be in another world. Smoky Mt. National Park is maybe 15 minutes away (dogs welcome on the Gatlinburg Trail, and it's a pleasure of a walk), and the Gatlinburg Arts and Craft Loop isn't much further. But if you're like us, you'll find that the best times are to found just hanging out in this great cabin. We've rented a lot of places, and we both agreed that this one was the most relaxing yet. I would also point out that when we pointed out a minor problem to the owner the first night, she really went above and beyond working to resolve the matter. Thank you for a great vacation!

Owner response: Thank you Don and Pat for a nice review. I really enjoyed meeting you (several times LOL) after the MiFi internet connection was not working or hardly at all. I'd never experienced an issue like that and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help and kindness as I worked to get it fixed. You two were wonderfully patient through the whole process. I stopped by GrandView a couple days after you left and it now seems to be working consistently again, thank goodness. I'm happy you enjoyed the area and found it to be a much-needed break from the cold and snow of New York. I hope you'll come again next year!

Our group of 4 adults (2 couples) had a great time at Grandview. It was the perfect size for us, and every amenity was met. We ended up spending most meals in, and although it was possible to have too many cooks in the kitchen, we made all but one meal in the house. We brought a few board games, but we utilized several from the game closet as well. The hot tub was, of course, a perfect end to each evening. The best value though was definitely the view. There were several cabins that we passed in the area that were bigger or more grandiose, but their views were obstructed by trees or other cabins. This was perfect! Great to wake up to and watch the sunsets. And lastly, Amy was always available. I worked with her before the trip and she put all things at ease; and to her credit, we didn't need to contact her at all during our stay, although she made herself available if need be. Thank you Amy!

Our stay at Grandview was great! The house was very comfortable and had everything that we needed, including all those little extras. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were absolutely wonderful and the location was perfect. We enjoyed our short drive through the country to the Parkway. The fireplace kept the top level family room cozy and warm, while the lower level was perfect for a good nights sleep. The view from both decks was amazing...definitely a Grandview!! This is where we will stay when we are visiting Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Owner response: Hi Jane, thank you for the great review! I love the location, too. It's such a pretty drive to the cabin and occasionally the horses from the stable are out grazing in the pastures. I'm thrilled you found everything you needed and that the cabin was comfortable. It's not a big place but we try to make up for it with good amenities and nice touches. I'll look forward to talking with you the next time you're coming to the Smokies. Thanks Jane!

Sometimes the timers are turned off or the batteries run down (something I'm always trying to stay on top of) so it's reassuring to know they were doing their job. I'm happy to know you and your friends all were comfortable and had a really nice vacation. Thank you for the review!

We recently got back home from our trip to the Pigeon Forge, TN area. This little cabin was just perfect! When I say "little", I don't know that I even mean "little" - especially compared to a normal hotel room or even one of those suites. The kitchen was perfect size for a vacation - had everything one would need for basic meal preparation, etc. The bedrooms were decent sized as well! We had six of us - my husband and I, and 4 kids (two teen boys, a ten year old girl and 6 year old boy). We loved the extra loving touches - the video game systems (and I appreciated the games - they played Monkey Ball for hours in the evenings and mornings before we headed out for activities). The location was quite central to everything, yet set far enough that it was quiet and serene. I already miss the view of the mountains from the window and deck. It was highly maintained, clean, serene. I couldn't have asked for more! THANKS! (Oh, and we LOVED the added touches of the little stuffed bear and raccoon! IN some ways, those were the biggest hits with the kiddos!) Thanks for a great stay in TN!

Owner response: Hi Rachel, Thank you for the wonderful review and letting everyone know that a vacation rental is way better than a hotel room, any day! It's not a large cabin but it sounded like GrandView lived comfortably for your family and everyone had a good time. Yes, we include the bear and raccoon just in case you don't get to see the real thing. They babysit the bunk bedroom and keep an eye on things LOL If you ever come back to the Smokies, please look us up!

Never having stayed in the area before, I was unsure as to what to do - cabin or hotel. When I decided that a cabin would make more sense (family of 6, incl 4 grown kids ages 14-23), I did a lot of research. When I came to Amy's listing, I was pretty sure what I saw wash what we'd like. Her listing is very informative and the pics are accurate. You can tell she loves her place by the attention to the details. The cabin was fabulous - comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished, spacious deck, awesome view, peaceful and isolated (even though a cabin on either side never knew they were there) yet convenient to Pigeon Forge (2 miles) and Gatlinburg (6 miles) and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Really couldn't ask for a better place for our stay. Even the drive up the "hill", though steep, easy to do (paved all the way) as long as you are careful. Amy was fantastic in her communications, her directions were spot on, she was very friendly and prompt in her response to any question I had. Loved the cabin, loved the stay. Made our trip to TN a memorable one and I'm certain we will return.

The cabine was great. We've been to many cabines in US and in Israel, but none of them is reaching your standard. As I wrote, you really thought of everything. All is in place, nothing is missing, all well and detailed explained…. Big YES. Zahavi family, Hod Hasharon, Israel.

The cabin is very clean and neat; cleaner than most of the cabins we've stayed at in in the Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge area. Of course, the view is wonderful. Broad vistas of the mountains - it seems like you are in the middle of nowhere, yet you are only a few minutes from Pigeon Forge. The owners take care of all the extra details - LED candles in the cabin and rope lights around the deck make it cozy. Our family has been staying in cabins in the area for over 25 years, and this cabin is our absolute favorite!

Owner response: Hi Scott and thank you for the beautiful review. That says a lot when a guest likes your cabin enough to come back and bring the entire family. I am truly flattered and glad that you enjoyed all the little touches!

Amy (owner) is a pleasure to work with. ? Registration was simple and the instructions provided were very detailed and helpful. The house was perfect for our family (4 adults, 4 children). It wasn't too big or too small. Too big would have been a lot of work. Too small would have been cramped. Please note that it sleeps 7 but 1 of ours was an infant. ? The owners had planned for cool weather and warmer weather. The hot tub was great. The view fabulous. Everything was great. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg was a lot of fun but good gracious, you can't even begin to see everything and we were there for 7 days. I recommend this location and will look forward to returning one day.

Owner response: Hi DeAnn, your comments brought a smile to my face when you said the cabin was just the right size--not too big or too small--for 6 guests. I always worry if people will be comfortable because it's not a huge cabin. Thank you for allaying my fears! I am happy you enjoyed the view and the comforts at the cabin. Please come again!

Have stayed in area before and have to say this was the best view we have ever had. Sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee was amazing. The cabin had absolutely everything you could need. Never stayed in one so well stocked. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. The location was ideal to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. And Amy was awesome to work with.

About the owner: Hi, I'm Amy Greener from Knoxville, TN. My husband Rick and I own four cabins altogether and make it a priority to work on them regularly to keep them in excellent shape. Good maintenance and upkeep is at the top of our list as owners. GrandView offers a peaceful retreat with only a few cabins nearby. The view from the deck is priceless and we hope you enjoy it there as much as we do. Thank you for considering our pet friendly cabins.

Why the Owner Chose Other Gatlinburg Properties:
GrandView has the best of both worlds...it's just a couple miles from the parkway but you'd never know it because you feel like you're in a private nature preserve. It's such a peaceful, quiet location that you'll feel like the world just plain went away!

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
You'll be hard pressed to find more beautiful decks to enjoy the mountains in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. In December 2006, our very talented friends from Michigan who build decks, houses, cabinetry...you name it...put their stamp on GrandView. You cannot appreciate their craftsmanship until you step foot at the cabin. The view is truly beautiful year 'round and now the decks complement the natural beauty. GrandView has wonderful beds that provide a fantastic night's sleep. Bob and Linda, August 2009 guests from the UK, emailed us for information on where they could find our beds so they could try to import them to England. I guess that's about as good a testimonial for the beds as we could ask for! The location is only 2.5 miles from the very last traffic light in Pigeon Forge, on your way to Gatlinburg.
