Villa Rosalinda is a splendid home with 400 m2 living space. It has belonged to the same owner ever since the 17th century. It was used by the family, who were silk merchants in Como, as a holiday retreat and at that time it could only be reached by boat. It underwent various renovations over the years and at the end of the 18th century became a lovely house as you view it today. It still carries a family atmosphere and gives you the feeling of being at home.
Villa Rosalinda is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday, but also for those who want to visit Italy, stay in a splendid home, act as host, entertain friends or celebrate a special event, which will remain unforgettable in such enchanting surroundings.
The spacious 1000m2 english garden with shady and sunny spots, is adorned with oleanders, azaleas, magnolias, jasmine, roses, and rhododendrons and assures you a complete privacy although it takes only five minutes to reach the centre of Menaggio Village. A portico for alfresco dining is connected with the dining room and kitchen. The large terrace in front of the house gives direct access to the lake for your morning swim. Underneath the house is a boat house. We put at the disposal of our guests our motorboat Cv40 accommodating 6 ,at euro 1000 per week please ask for further conditions.
On the ground floor is a spacious entrance hall, living room with ancient fireplace and plenty of seating possibilities, the dining room, library, as well as a charming fully-equipped kitchen and guest water closet. Glass doors lead from the living room to the terrace.
A large staircase takes you to the first floor with three double bedrooms (one is twinbed), each has an en-suite bathroom. The rooms are ample and comfortable, two of them face the front and share a panoramic terrace, the other one overlooks the garden with splendid view over the lake. The house is tastefully furnished with classic Italian antiques and family pieces. Private parking for three cars inside the fenced-in property.
