We had a wonderful time at this lovely place. Awesome fishing, incredibly relaxing, great restaurants nearby - especially enjoyed Welaka BBQ restaurant. Homeowners are good people, very accommodating. They let us check out late and took us for a tour on their pontoon boat - saw manatees in the springs. My family of 5 stayed in this house just last week for our spring break vacation. The house is cute and roomy and the setting on the river is beautiful, which is the reason for the 3 stars. However, the selling feature on this house that made us choose it over the others in the area was the private heated pool. On the day that we arrived the water temperature was 61 degrees and the pool heat was not even on. We contacted the owner and were instructed not to adjust the controls and we did not, but they said that they always keep it set at 75 degrees. The owner came over and adjusted some things and assured us that the pool would be working good in a day or two. Well, the temperature ranged from 61 down to 58 and up to 62, but never reached a temperature that was usable for our family the entire trip. I just wanted others renting this place to be aware that the pool might way it is heated, but it is not and should not be advertised that way. The owners also will come in the house when you are gone without even notifying you. They came in when we left and changed some paperwork on the door and also were in the bathroom. If you don't mind being creeped out by having someone roaming through your vacation home with your belongings when you are not around then go for it. My family will not be staying there ever again. Lori G OhioOwner response: (1) We offered Lori and her family a 15% rebate on their stay. We regret that cold weather and issues with our pool heater did not allow them to use the pool. (2) While the family was out for the day we went into the house to repair a broken window for security purposes.

Had a wonderful time with family & friends. Great views, fishing off the dock, swimming and relaxing in the pool. I can't wait to go back again.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
