Very private, tiny stone cottage situated on the forgotten Sheep's Head Peninsula, Ireland's best hiking country. Two Miles to village of Durrus, five miles from town of Bantry.
Peggy's Cottage has unique qualities, and is fully furnished including many Irish pine antiques. Queen Bed in first floor room - Double bed in second floor Bedroom, Quality Mattresses. Slate floors and stone walls in most of cottage.
Kitchen wood burning stove, sitting room fireplace, and bedroom storage heaters make for a warm, cozy cottage all year. New full bath on first floor. Although Kitchen is basic (no dishwasher) it is fully tricked out by the owner who loves to cook.
All linens are high quality.
Well tended mature garden with many herbs for kitchen use, and sweeping valley views. Night sky free of artificial lights! A wonderful base for seeing West Cork.
No one will disturb, but caretaker is at neighboring farm for any needed assistance. Perfect hideaway for two - maximum four - space for children to play and a very cold stream to dip your feet in.
