A cozy guest cottage located on two wooded acres shaded by huge live oaks and cooled by gentle marsh breezes. From the screened porch one can see a small marina across the water. Park like grounds with 300'marsh frontage lead to the crabbing dock where you might see dolphin swim by. A new addition is the 589ft dock for fishing or relaxing in the hammock catching the breeze. All just steps from your private pool and front door. PERFECT FOR A TWOSOME OR SMALL FAMILY.( Children over 7 yrs welcome )

Pets,too,enjoy their vacation with family. They have full run of 2 (two) fenced acres. Need to walk your dog in the early morning?? Just open the door and let him/her out. Unlike the gated communities- DATAW ISLAND,HARBOR ISLAND and FRIPP ISLAND -where they have STRICT leash laws your FIDO can run, play and be a DOG here. What a life !!!!

Comfortable furnishings in this cozy, well maintained, guest cottage have you feeling right at home. The recliner is sure to lull you to sleep while watching your favorite movie on the DVD. Or perhaps sitting in the living room with the glass sliding pocket doors fully open to the porch will capture all the fresh air and sounds.

If you enjoy awakening to glorious sunrises, seeing the moon's reflection on the water, listening to the marsh night creatures, or dining poolside... THIS IS THE COTTAGE FOR YOU.   • We just returned from an idyllic few days in the "Cozy Cattage." The setting is beautiful and very restful. You can find activities to fill your days or just laze about in the fairytale-like setting. Not only are the accomdations lovely, but the company is beyond compare - especially the four-legged company! JoAnn is a very warm and gracious host, and her four-legged family is extremely loveable. We feel as though we've truly found a home away from home. We hated to leave. We definitely plan a return visit!

  • I spent a fabulous weekend at the cottage over Easter. The cottage was so comfortable and had absolutely everything you could need. The property was beautiful with the azaleas in bloom. It was such a peaceful and quiet weekend. The pool was very nice, little too cold to get in, but it was so clean and pretty. I spent several days sitting on the side reading or napping. A benefit of staying here was that I was able to bring my dog, Cooper. He had a great time with the other dogs and checking out the whole place. The cottage and property is VERY dog friendly. You are very close to the beach (about 6 miles or so) and local eateries. I hope to visit again soon. Thank you Jo Ann for a wonderful vacation.

  • What a great place to relax! We had a great time retreat from our kids and spending time in silence on the hammock on the big dock. We caught some great crabs and had a feast!! Had a great day at the beach and before we knew it, it was time to head home. Jo Ann is a gracious host. Funny two of her dogs share the same names as our two daughters, craziness. Peaceful time.   • This is the "place" if you are looking to rest and relax. The grounds are fabulous, the cottage is top notch. The iew on the marsh is great. Beaufort is a lovely town and Hunting Island has to be seen. The golf courses are great. We have been in SC the past three years and this year was the best. Thanks Jo-Ann

  • We have just returned from another wonderful week at JoAnn's. Our second week was even more enjoyable than our week last summer. knowing that the cottage is fully stocked, so to speak, meant much less to bring. the cottage and grounds are as beautiful as ever. the weather was wondeful and we spend several afternoons at the beach and many more hours at the pool and enjoying the peace & quiet. one could not ask for a nicer hostess. We'll be back again and are also looking forward to visiting her condo in the mountains of NC.. thank you again for a wonderful week.

  • This was truly the best vacation I've ever had. JoAnn made the whole family (including our dogs) feel so much at home. My Border Collie never knew she could have so much fun! The cottage was was so clean, the property was gorgeous, the pool so refreshing, and we caught over 40 crabs off the crabbing dock. The beach was close and nice, the state park was like a tropical setting, we even went horseback riding down the rode from the cottage. If anything, the pictures in the listing don't do justice to the actual beauty of JoAnn's property. I was truly sad to leave and hope someday I can get back there. Thank-you JoAnn for a truly memorable vacation.
