A cozy guest cottage located on two wooded acres shaded by huge live oaks and cooled by gentle marsh breezes. From the screened porch one can see a shrimp boat marina across the tidal creek. Park-like grounds with 300 feet of marsh frontage lead to the crabbing dock where you might see dolphin swim by. A new addition is the 589ft dock perfect for fishing or relaxing in the hammock catching the breeze. All just steps from your private pool and front door. Comfortable furnishings in this cozy, well maintained, guest cottage have you feeling right at home. The recliner is sure to lull you to sleep while watching your favorite movie on the DVD. Or perhaps sitting in the living room with the glass sliding pocket doors fully open to the porch will capture all the fresh air and sounds.
If you enjoy awakening to glorious sunrises, seeing the moon's reflection on the water, listening to the marsh night creatures, or dining poolside... THIS IS THE COTTAGE FOR YOU. Relaxing, scenic, and private, "It's difficult to tear oneself away from this setting", I have been told.
Pets, too, enjoy vacationing within the safety of the two fenced acres. (Proof of flea treatment requested and clipped nails due to parquet floors).
Hunting Island State Park with beaches, fishing, kayaking, and educational programs for young and old is six miles. Historic Beaufort with its many art galleries, restaurants, and interesting shops is 12 miles. And of course Hilton Head, Savannah, and Charleston are all within a day trip for sightseeing.
Have you ever eaten a Shrimpburger??? Beaufort area is famous for them. Try the Shrimp Shack ,casual and fun....Panini's on Bay St great Italian food... Barbara Jeans for crab cakes.... For the athletic types - Running, Walking, and Biking are perfect for the low country flatness. Golfers have a choice of five semi-private courses within 20 minutes of the cottage.
