Welcome and have a great beach vacation! Our condo is located on the "Crystal Coast" of North Carolina, part of the Southern Outer Banks. This east-west running island runs provides a southern view of the Atlantic Ocean with beautiful sunrises and sunsets directly from the beach. We are close by to Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, Historic Beaufort, Emerald Isle, and Swansboro. We are just a short drive from Raleigh, NC or Richmond, VA. We are located right on the beach!
Maritime West is a small grouping of executive condos, with just 38 total units in three buildings. Our unit, A31, is located in "A" building on the top floor (third floor) and is a desirable end unit. It is located directly on the beach. The building has an elevator and private, protected parking is also provided. You'll find plenty of privacy and quietness that is so lacking in many vacation places today. Since the majority of the owners of Maritime West do not rent their units out, you will find our beach and pool are un-crowded and quiet. (Check out additional photos by clicking on the link below).
The Maritime West complex is also part of the very desirable Beacon’s Reach development located in Pine Knoll Shores (located in the center of the island between Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach). Pine Knoll Shores is a community sheltered by an ancient maritime forest of yaupon, wax myrtle and live oak and developed by the family of Theodore Roosevelt. Beacon's Reach provides walking and bike trails, fishing, tennis courts, basketball courts and a private marina, all at your disposal.
Close by (less than a mile) is the North Carolina Aquarium. There are also many restaurants, amusement parks for the kids, shops, grocery stores, library, gas stations and post office within a mile or two. You'll find a golf course right on the island only minutes away with additional courses on the mainland. Any water activity that you want (including deep sea fishing and scuba) is close at hand. Or perhaps you just want to sit back and watch dolphins from our living room while reading a book from our library.
We have been renting our unit since 2001 and take pride in providing you with a beach vacation home away from home. We provide you with a lot of little extras typically not found in many beach condo rental units. We have beach bikes (five bikes), beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach toys and more available for you to use in our owner's closet. Inside our unit, we have a reading library of books (take one, leave one), games and puzzles for the kids and adults as well as DVDs and VHS movies. Free, high speed, wireless internet is available.

Our unit is a non-smoking unit with a flat top stove and other upgraded fixtures and appliances. You'll love the gliding love seat and gliding ottoman combination while listening to the waves or watching folks walk the beach from our screened-in porch. The master bedroom is a king size, bedroom two is a queen and the third bedroom has a bunk bed that sleeps three (single on top, twin mattress on bottom). All bedrooms have cable TV and a full private bathroom.
