The beach Club offers daily recreational activities, two pools,, diving center and a massage center. Free use of lounge chairs, showers, umbrellas and palapas.

Xcaret i 20 min. Xel- ha 30 mintues, Ferry for cozumel 10minutes, Coco Bongo 15 minutes, Xplor about 15 minutes ,Rio secreto 15 minutes, Tulum one hour & Coba.
If you don't rent a car, taxis are around the corner.
the public transportation takes you everywhere, including chichen itza, Merida, Castle of Kukulkan , puerto Morelos, Isla Mujeres. Their packages are all inclusive.

Why the Owner Chose Playacar
Playacar is a gated community maintained very nice by the HOA. It is surrounded by trees, palms, flowers. It is very safe and at the same time relatively near to so many tourist attractions, beach and all that Playa del Carmen has to offer..
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We like the privacy each bedrooms offers, and at the same time we can all enjoy each others company for our meals. Our meal times are so precious, cooking in the condo saves us money and makes it possible for us to go to Playa.

We stayed there for a week from August 8th, 2009. The condo is in gated communicty called Playa Car. The condominium building itself also has a guard. So, we felt safe completely. The unit is off the beach so it was also very quiet. We rented a car from Cancun and drove over to the Condo. We kept the car in the designated parking spot. When we went out, we either used car or cab. Cab cost us 50 peso to get to town. We went to the Reef ($40/day) and went to Cozumel for one night. We were able to really enjoy the local foods and local shops at Playa. We were also able to cook our food when we wanted. Playa has Wallmart and a few other mega stores and you can pretty much get anything that you need. Washer and Dryer were nice althought it took us a while to understand how to use it. We were also having difficulties in TV, but our kids had a prenty time to read books. The pricing of the condo was very reasonable. With extra money, we enjoyed many water sports such as jet ski, diving, wind surfing, parasailing, etc. The unit has one designated parking spot and we had no trouble. Also, taxis are always waiting in about a few minute walking distance. If you are looking active vacations, this is the place to be. Also, Nick was helpful. The condo is back in the Playa Car gated community. So, make sure you bring the map that Nick provides.

The unit is very comfortable, very reasonable price, we stayed there for 10 nights, it has 3 bedrooms, very nice furnished, very comfortable beds, it has a lot of details that talk very well about the owners, like a cellular phone which is there if you want to use it, some basic groceries that you dont have to buy, a lot of towels, etc. etc. The possibility to enjoy the beach club is also great, the Reef hotel is super nice, has 3 pools and a great beach. The condo is peaceful and secure and you can enjoy a perfect moment lied on the hamoc in the terrace, overlooking the condo,s pool and the vegetation, hearing the birds, is totally calmed. The condo is in perfect condition of maintenance. We enjoyed it very, very much!! We would take it again on next vacations, or highly recommend with no doubt. Thank you Nicolas and Francisca.

My friends and I rented this condo in April and it was perfect. The use of the beach club was a bonus, it was near to everything you needed and there was even friendly neighbours living in the complex. The Guzmans were great to work with and I would certainly rent from them again with no hesitation. This is the second time I have used Home Away and have had great success.

My family just spent Christmas and New Years in Playa and it was spectacular. The condo is very nicely equipped with everything one needs. It is gated and the grounds are well tended. Seems like a lot of renters and ex pats living there. Taxis are available 24/7 around the corner and we always took one to 5th. A little too far to walk. The Reef club was really beautiful and we also used the SPA, which was top notch.

We stayed here for 1 week in March and had a blast. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had before we left. There were 4 adults, 3 kids(12,10, and 1 1/2), the condo was spacious and was in a nice location. The washer and dryer were key, didn't have to pack as much. The people living in the complex were also very friendly and helpful. It was a 15 min. walk to the resort and about the same to downtown. We walked in the mornings and usually took a cab home ($4-5). The Reef club was nice and we did the all-inclusive one day, but spent most of the time at the public beach just down from 5th ave. Overall we had a great vacation with tours(check around for prices!), beaches, and a great condo. We hadn't left Mexico and were planning our next trip and this would be our first choice. Thanks again!

This was the 2nd time we have stayed in Penthouse Romeo. This was a extended trip for us, Jan. 2nd to Jan. 18th 2009. We had our 2 adult kids and their significant others along this time. Penthouse Romeo is in a great complex in Playacar. You get access to the Reef Club which is a great resort right on the beach. You have the option of purchasing an All-Inclusive option at the Reef Club for $35/day. We did that many times during our stay. The Condo is clean and roomy with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen and washer and dryer. It's about a 15 minute walk into PDC and 5th Ave. Sometimes we walked, other times we would grab a cab, about $5. Owners are great. Highly reccomended for an, "Off Beach" alternative to the pricy beach resorts.

Hermoso departamento. Muy limpio, cómodo y bien equipado. Dispone de un telefono celular y acceso a internet (con un costo adicional). La ubicación es muy buena. Disfrutamos mucho el beach club del Reef. Es conveniente alquilar auto, aunque los taxis se consiguen muy facilmente. Los propietarios, Francisca y Nicolás han sido muy amables y se preocuparon hasta por el más mínimo detalle. Hemos pasado unas memorables vacaciones. Sin dudas lo recomendaría a mis amigos.

Had a wonderful stay in this condo! The owners, Nic and Fran, are extremely responsive. I told them about a small leak in the apartment and they sent someone to fix it right away. Chema, the property manager, was also very responsive and easy to get a hold of.Some of the major perks: clean and spacious condo, lots of towels and linens for guests to use, washer/dryer, good sized kitchen with water provided for guests. Cons: the only con was that it was not right on the beach or walking distance to Quinta Avenida. But we had a car, so it was not really a problem.Had a wonderful time and will stay here again when planning my next trip to Playa!

Wonderful condo in a nice, quiet area! The pass to the Reef Club was great, we used it several times. The owners are nice, helpful and great to work with! We will be renting from the owners again in the future. We highly recommend this condo!
