The Garden House is a private, sunny home in a peaceful, garden setting surrounded by birch trees just five minutes from downtown Homer. Guests can book a world-class halibut fishing charter, browse in the shops and art galleries, explore the Pratt Museum, dine in a variety of restaurants, and go for a walk on Bishop’s Beach. Whether trolling for salmon or kayaking the fjords, strolling the Spit or hiking Poot Peak, bear-watching or whale-viewing, Homer is the ultimate Alaska destination.
The new, 1100 square foot, chalet-design Garden House has vaulted ceilings, tile floors, and a fully-equipped kitchen. South-facing windows and a deck with grill for cooking the day’s catch overlook the birch trees, expansive lawn, and garden. Moose and eagles are seen frequently from the deck and the lawn is perfect for a game of croquet. Tennis courts and a small playground with a view are a short walk away.
The one-bedroom house is affordable for two, yet can comfortably sleep six people, making it ideal for family groups or fishermen. The kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom are located on the first level. The first level bedroom has a queen-size bed. The large second level loft overlooks the living room below and has a king and two twin beds. Baby bed available.
Peaceful and quiet, the Garden House is the perfect retreat after a day of fishing, shopping, or exploring all that Homer has to offer. |
