Why the Owner Chose Cumming
This is the most convenient location on Lake Lanier to the Big Water but with a quiet cove for safety in swiming and fishing. The cabin is located near shopping and entertainment. Only 3 miles off Ga. 400, Go South and you have a straight shot to Atlanta; Go Right on Ga. 400 and you have a straight shot to the North Georgia Mountains.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The dock is lighted and has water directly to the dock. It is fun to sit out on the dock at night and enjoy the tranquility or enjoy the outdoor fireplace at the cabin (Wood Supplied). The cabin is located in an upscale neighborhood with safe walking and hiking available. The Sunset over the mountains and the cove is my favorite thing about this cabin. We have beautiful sunsets everyday and the water glistens from about 3:00 until the sun sets. Incredible! You will not want to leave. I promise.
Rustic Cabin With Great Water View. Close to Mountains and Shopping and Entertainment. Quiet Large Cove Perfect For Swimming and All Water Sports. Very Clean With Hypo-Allergenic Mattress Protectors f

We were there during Christmas holidays to see the lights at Lake Lanier. We visited with our granddaughter and had a fire inside and out. It is well decorated without being too fancy for kids. Comfortable and cosy! We will definitely return.

After staying here several years ago, my family returned to spend a week. We loved the new decor and, the new queen bed in the master is so comfortable - as sleeping comfort is the most important feature when we're on vacation. We also enjoyed the lovely view from the deck and from inside. My favorite thing was napping on the back porch after drinking a cup of tea.

I booked this gorgeous cabin for our anniversary for my husband & I. Even though we don't live far away, we wanted a place to simply unwind on the lake and not spend . Between the romantic dinners on the deck overlooking the lake, the breathtaking sunsets and the cozy furnishings inside this enchanting cabin, it couldn't have been more perfect! We were so glad to have a stereo system to play our favorite music. The bed was comfy, the linens soft and we loved being able to cook our favorite meals in the fantastic kitchen. We spent a couple of nights roasting marshmallows on the patio, grilled steaks on the grill and loved our walks down to the dock. One day we had some of our friends who have a boat come and pick us up. The dock was great for our friends and we were able to carry everything down to the dock that we needed for our day on the lake. We've rented other cabins on Lake Lanier, and we found the path down to the dock and lake particularly easy and not steep at all! I can't say enough about this wonderful place other than...rent it and see for yourself why we fell in love with this fantastic place! WELL worth every cent and really reasonablly priced!

Owner response:Our family really loves to hear how much our guests enjoyed their stay in our Cozy Lake Cabin. We have tried so hard to make the Cozy Cabin deserve it's name by going the "extra mile" to make it truly cozy and special for all ages. Couples say they have returned many times because of the special touches that we have done to make our lake home romantic, yet it is fun for the children also with the big yard and the swim dock being level with the water so parents can be close by to watch their children while they are swimming. The kitchen is a dream for those who love to cook and yet see the water at the same time.

Three years ago, I stayed at the Cozy Cabin while I was on an extended business trip from Austria to USA. I found it so tranquil and refreshing to be around the nature that I am used to in the mountains of Austria. The cabin has great kitchen appliances, is clean, has good mattresses, and a very nice view. The outdoor barbequing and fire pit are great, and the clean water in the beautiful lake make being out doors special at your cabin. I am very excited to come back to your cabin on my next trip to USA, and I will attempt to stay there every time I have the opportunity to relax while on my travels to your area. I am a former chef in Austria for 5 star hotels, a former ship building engineer with high end interiors, was successful in General Contracting in Tiburon and Belevedere, CA, USA and built my own log home in the mountains. I know character, structure and interiors quality when I see it. I noticed that you used screws in your back deck and dock instead of nails, which shows me that you go the extra mile for quality. You have something special there, and I appreciate, as well as, seek the opportunity to enjoy it, as much as, I possibly can when I am on my inernational travels. Thank you for making me feel like I am in my home away from my country and I am looking forward to my next visit with you. Mr. Alexander P. Hoeller, Innsbruck, Tirol Austria

The home is over decorated, has limited seating and only sleeps 9 if you put 3 people in the living room. There is no "master suite" and NO king bed unless you push 2 twins together but when you do that you eliminate the only room with 2 beds. Also, the beds are full size, not queens. The "jacuzzi" tub is just a standard tub with jets and there is no water pressure to speak of. There are only 2 burners that barely work in the kitchen and with all the knick knacks there's no room to cook anything from scratch. All the photos were obviously shot with a wide angle lens, the place is no where as big as it looks. The grill was filthy and there were no tools to clean it, not that you'd want to, for what you're paying it should be done. The home also has a serious insect issue, there are yellow jackets and hornets so aggressive we we couldn't eat outside. They should have skipped all the breakable chachkies and invested in a treatment for flying insects on the porch. The walk down to the lake is dangerous and the only lights are just off the dock and you have to turn them off and walk up in the dark if you want to sit on the dock at night, The dock is sad and mediocre compared to the others in the cove and it's in pretty bad shape. Expect splinters and watch for nails. There also isn't a proper ramp from the shore to the dock, just old shelf board propped up. As a mother it left a lot to be desired for safety. To top off all of this, the owners left a manual that explains how "impeccably decorated" the home is and then it catalogs all the "design elements" in the home. If you get anything out of staying here it will be reading this thing. It was a running joke during our trip. Apparently sitting lamps on top of books and placing a trinket box on every single surface in the home is interior design. The book starts "The themes of relaxation, rustic and fruit..." What?! After a trying week with the space we had our last day interrupted when another family of 9 came and walked it the front door. They overlapped our contracts and when I called and asked the owner to speak to this other family she literally said "I don't know what to say". It was a fitting end to the trip. We planned on having 7 adults and 2 kids and there wasn't enough room. I would not recommend this place for over 6, including kids and not to anyone looking to cook or park a boat at the dock.
Owner response:The person who submitted this review was not the person who rented the Cozy Lake Cabin. It appears that this person did not read the rental agreement or the descriptive information carefully as posted in the rental agreement and on the web. This review contains false statements that are very clealy fradulent and appears to be for an intent of malice. The reckless disregard for the truth articulated therein is considered libel. The only call that we received during this week with any issues or complaints was the night before they left when a different family mistakenly arrived to check into the cabin. That party did not have a confirmed, executed rental agreement nor were they scheduled to be there. We graciously assisted that family to find accommodations for the week because of their immediate need. Because of the gross libel misrepresentations of this review, I welcome all potential guests to contact me personally for clarifications or assurances concerning our lovely Cozy Lake Cabin. We hope you consider staying in the our lake home as we have purposely created a cozy environment for your pleasurable vacation experience. Thank you, Linda Poston~Owner

This property has all the allure of a cabin getaway on the lake, however every ammenity you could ever want is within a 10 minute drive. The dock and swimming area is fun and exciting for the kids, bring a net and/or rod for fish and bug catching. The area is quiet for adults to relax as we watched our kids at the water, the "cabin" is wonderfully comfortable and clean with pottery barn type furnishings!! There are so many activities for the family to do in the area, we did not book enough time to enjoy everything. This was a gold nugget stay for our family!! Thank you so much!!

Our family stayed at this lovely cabin in February and will definitly come back in the future. The cleanliness in each room of the cabin was excellent. The bedding and the decor was very comfortable and charming. All of our needs were met and the owners made sure that our stay was wonderful. We felt like we were at our own home. It rained several days but that did not take away from the beauty of the lake and the surroundings. We felt very cozy and had fun playing board games, watching videos and doing origami with the children.

If your looking for a great place to get away from it all with all the modern amenities of a fine hotel then this is for you. Loved the deck, the Jacuzzi tub, the interior decorations, bedding, baths, and don't forget the dock and fireplace. Everything was just top notch. Thanks for everything.

We just loved staying in your cozy cabin on New Year's Eve. We were with family, and there was plenty of room for us all. The decor is so charming with the knotted pine walls and hardwood floors. The view of the lake was peaceful and breath taking as well. We appreciated the cleanliness and newness of your furnishings. The mattresses were comfortable, and the newly remodeled bathrooms were so quaint and decorative. I felt like I had stepped back in time. The kitchen is awesome! Loved the new black granite countertops, all new appliances, and the new pine cabinets. We also loved the view from all of the oversized windows and sliding doors. The stone fireplace added to the rustic/cottage character of your cabin as well. We're looking forward to coming in the summer and using the casual oversized deck with all of the benches built in. Perfect for another family gathering! We will be bringing our boad for extra fun! Thanks again, Andrea Hancock
