Island Calm is located in the charming, low-key Fairfield Ocean Ridge Resort nestled between the Atlantic Ocean Beach and the St. Helena Sound Beach. Stately live oaks, mature pines, and tall palmettos provide quiet shade. Ocean breezes provide respite from the summer heat. There is easy access both to the beach which has many public access points and to the amenities of the resort, making a great combination.
For southerners trying to beat the heat of summer, Edisto is an ideal location. For northerners trying to escape the cold of early spring and autumn, Edisto is a perfect location (60-70 degrees in October, November, March, and April), even winter is better than the snowy north, Edisto is a comfortable 55-65 degrees from December to the end of February.
Island Calm is just a:
· two minute walk to tennis courts and the club house of a recently renovated 18-hole golf course
· five minute walk to the beach at St. Helena Sound and to the resort pool and recreation center
· fifteen minute (safe) walk to the Atlantic Ocean beach (Fairfield has a Cabana on the beach which provides washrooms, shower facilities and a cold drink machine).
Beautifully laid-out, decorated and furnished with yellows brightening up nautical blues, the condo Island Calm is one of four units in a single building on the golf course. It has a bright and roomy living area leading to an L-extension containing a wet-bar, a dining area, and a well-appointed kitchen. Gatherings in the living room can be supplemented by space in the exceptionally large covered, screened-in L-shaped porch with its own seating area and a great view of shady oaks and the sunny fairway beyond (fifth tee box).
There are two Bedrooms with one King, one Double, and a fold-out couch. The Master bedroom is spacious and bright with two windows, one opening onto one end of the porch. It has its ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed, nice closet, dresser, and an ensuite bathroom.
