Location: Conway, White Mountains, New Hampshire, USA (IN Madison ~ BEFORE busy traffic of N.Conway~15 min drive!)

Accommodations:  Log Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 8-9)

The BEST way to deal with "Cabin Fever"...STAY IN ONE~~~!This "cozy" log cabin is STILL, just like NEW, (was completed for the first week of '05!)with an "open concept" (wood cathedral ceilings w/ceiling fans) interior. The scent of pine STILL greets you as you enter!~~~It has warm finished wide pine boards for flooring (scattered with hand made braided rugs) with tile floors in the two baths, and carpet in the basement "family" room.

The dining room has a gas fireplace, with a heavy, 3'X6' plank pine table with seating for six while the full kitchen has a breakfast bar wth seating for four, and it has a small TV/DVD player. If you enjoy cooking, this cabin is furnished with excellent cooking utensils along with the new Maytag double oven gas range.

The "master bedroom" is on the main level and (NOW) has AIR CONDITIONING!, a 32" flat screen TV with built in DVD, and its own full private bath, along with a queen size "SLEEP NUMBER BED"!!! In the open loft there are two queen size log beds, and a rocking recliner, and a TV.

There is a second bath with shower in the hall on the main level.

The lower level is a "walk-out", and has a finished "family" room with three sofas ~(One opens up to a queen size pull out bed),three chairs, a TV/VCR/DVD player, gas fireplace, desk w/computer with high speed DSL service, games, puzzles, bookcase w/asst. books, roll-away twin size bed, and room for more! Also in the basement there's a workshop for the person who just can't get away from it all!!!~~~ AND a full laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing board/iron~(who wants to go home with dirty clothes!)

In the warmer months, you can also enjoy the private patio in the back of the cabin, with the forest as your backdrop...there's a great NEW Beef Eater Grill out there along with a huge tile table with comfortable seating for EIGHT under the umbrella!

This smoke/pet-free cabin sits on about three acres of wooded property, in a great country setting, with unlimited space for parking~! On a hard top, town maintained road with a cul de sac. During the winters, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and c.c. skiing can be done RIGHT FROM THE BACK YARD OF THE PROPERTY! (A winding path through the back forest will lead you to the trails!) Downhill skiing is close by, within a twenty minute drive. For the warmer months, this quiet area is a wonderful place to relax.

Golfing, and the outlet shops in N.Conway are only a fifteen minute drive from the cabin! ~ You'll find great swimming in a super clean "residents and guest only" 3-mile long lake, just a miles drive (renting INcludes passes to use the lake for your full stay!) Hiking and climbing are available year 'round!~There is also an INDOOR ice skating arena open year round only eight miles away!

Gas station, convenience store, hardware store, library, post office, fire station, police station and town offices, are only a one mile drive from the cabin ~ but you'd NEVER know it!

  • Again, a wonderful visit up to the woods at Norma's cabin. The cabin is still sparkling clean and has every amenity. The kids remembered the "talking moose" and were excited to use it. The location is just perfect for everything in the area. We only wish we'd see a real moose some year! Hopefully we'll be back next year.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Norma's cabin so much, we have already reserved a week for next year, and hope that this will be a long-standing tradition. The cabin and the services that Norma provides are like a 5 star hotel! It is true that all you need to bring is your food! The kitchen is better equipped than our own! There is plenty of room for even two families if necessary and everything is ready and waiting for you when you arrive: comfortable bedrooms, well stocked bathrooms, computer access, 4 televisions and a collection of DVDs, a large patio area with gas grill, and if you're lucky, some will animals! All this, for a very reasonable price! We loved it and again want to thank Norma for helping to make our vacation so enjoyable! Thanks Norma! :) Joyce and Paul

  • This was our first time to New Hampshire. We couldn't have found a better place to stay. Norma is a wonderful hostess, as well as a great baker. Her homemade goodies were awesome. The cabin was very clean, warm and cozy. Everything we needed during our stay was there, just as she said. It was very centrally located for all the sights we wanted to take in. We would definitely come back again, and highly recommend it to everyone.

  • We recently stayed in Norma's cabin. It was wonderful! The location is perfect for enjoying the White Mountain Region. We were able to travel the Kancamagus Highway, visit Diana's Baths, ride the Conway Scenic Railroad, travel up to the top of Cannon Mountain, hike the Flume Gourge and play at Six Gun City. We ate most of our meals in the cabin. Norma had everything there we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable. Our children enjoyed her video collection and we all had quality family time with the board games and puzzles. She was the most wonderful hostess. She even baked us a yummy treat to welcome us there :) If you have a chance to rent this property, please do! You will not be disappointed!

  • The facilities of Norma's cabin would be hard to improve upon for a vacation home. The tranquil setting and Norma's warm welcome to her home ensure a relaxing stay. Its proximity to the area attractions leaves you with a wide variety of things to do whether you are 6 or 60! The one negative is that Norma cannot guarantee you the siting of a moose! However we did see a black bear and a deer which was great, we hope to return in search of the moose. Thank you Norma for a lovely week. Ted and Kate Tolliday UK

  • We stayed there a few weeks ago and let me tell you that this place is exactly as advertised. We received a reply including a quote and additional information right away. The owners were very attentive, friendly but not intrusive. We almost rented a house in Thornton, but because of the attitude of the owner and the lack of professionalism, we chose this house instead and were not disappointed. The price is right, the house is very clean. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect getaway in the area. 10/10!

  • Norma's house is like home away from home. We even have an eagle print like the one hanging in the loft. We had a wonderful week in N.H. and staying at the "cabin in the woods" made it even more fun. Could not have asked for more!!! Norma is a Sweetheart and her chocolates are simply delicious. We are looking forward to our next visit to "The Cabin".

  • 100% positive! This cabin was kept very nice and clean. The beds were more confortable than my own. There were all amenities I needed, and all I needed to bring was food. I would definitely like to stay this cabin again next summer or winter and recomend to anybody. The owner welcomes you with the 1st class hospitality and kindness.   • We loved our stay at Norma's cabin! The cabin was clean and beautiful, and the facilities (stove, grill, TV's, etc) were very modern. The location is perfect (near storyland, mountains, swimming, but private away from crowds and tourists. Our kids (aged 2 and 5) especially loved the loft area and the "talking deer" in the basement! Norma is a great hostess and came by to deliver a tea pot when we couldn't find one. The kitchen has everything you'd need to eat in the whole time (we ate out only twice). We will definately come again next summer. I only hope others don't book it up first!
