We stayed at this log home for a long weekend. It was clean, comfortable and the perfect home away from home. The kitchen has everything you need to cook any meals you choose, in fact we decided not to eat dinner out either night so we could relax at "home". The loft area is very spacious and the queen beds are comfortable. The lower level/basement has a place to watch tv by the gas fireplace. The main room has a large table that seat 6 for eating meals or playing games. The master bedroom/.bath was quite comfortable. Norma provides homemade chocolate treats that my girls devoured! We were able to walk the trails around the cabin and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. We skiied at Mt Cranmore which is about 20 mins away and all the shopping in Conway is right near there. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay with an owner that wants to make sure you enjoy your stay!

The kids loved it as well and the cabin was not just a place to stay but a great part of our funfilled trip to the white mountains! We wil be looking to bok it again soon! Cant recommend it enough!

My family rented this cabin for 10 days celebrating Christmas and New Years here. It was magical. We arrived with snow on the ground and Norma had Kissing balls hanging from the Porch. Inside felt cozy and warm. The inside had special Christmas touches as well like a tree in the loft and garland on the railing. After the long ride it was perfect to have a basket of homemade goodies from Norma waiting for us. The cabin was incredibly clean, decorate with so many small touches it took the whole week to see them all, and had everything you would need to cook with. And I mean everything!! The waffle iron was a favorite of all. My husband and I slept in the master bedroom which has a huge closet and its own bathroom. The three girls claimed the loft bedroom which gave them their own space yet still feel part of everything and my three boys took over the basement family room feeling like they had their own private area to hang out in. All 6 kids loved the cabin and the time spent there. Christmas eve we decorated a tree and Norma went out of her way leaving us lights bulbs and a tree skirt. It snowed on Christmas morning which everyone was smiling about. During our stay we skied Cranemore three times, went skating at the Area, went tubing, on a train ride and shopping at the outlets. Getting to the places was so easy from the cabin. It is in a perfect location that you feel away from it all while there but its just a hop skip and a jump to everything. After the fun filled day it was always amazing to come back to the cabin. We would have dinner on in the crock pot, fire place ready and settling in with PJs and board games. Everyone always felt like they were home when at the cabin. Our family really reconnected here. We take many family trips each year and I can honestly say with a husband in the hotel business it is very rare for us to give a 5. This cabin and Norma deliver you a 5 star stay. From the moment you email her to inquire about the stay you will receive attentiveness and warmth from her. On arrival the basket of goodies, the toiletries waiting in the bathroom, and the well stock spices, pans and utilities will make you feel right at home as well as welcomed to be there. Any of our family trips to this area will always be spent there at Norma's Cabin. Thank you Norma for being an amazing host and now a friend to us all. See you soon.

We were originally supposed to stay at Norma's cabin from Aug 27-Sept 3, but Hurricane Irene prevented those plans! (We're from NJ.) We were very fortunate that we were able to reschedule for Sept 25-Oct 2, as we wouldn't have wanted to miss our stay at this great cabin! Norma is the most gracious of hosts and very attentive to every detail to make your stay special, from before you arrive to after you leave! The cabin is beautiful and we enjoyed the bear decor and the homemade treats! Had a great week of hiking (Chocurua, South Moat, Morgan and Percival, summit of Washington), a trip up the Auto Road, a trip into North Conway on the rainiest day, and a trip to the Deerfield Fair.

We have stayed at several VRBO properties. All have been nice but this property was exceptional and Norma, the owner was the best to deal with! Each person in our family, from age almost 2 to 85, enjoyed the beauty and serenity of this property and the close location to Conway and the Kancamangus HWY. Having the grill made dinners easy ( we got the men to cook) and the kitchen layout and setup made all our meals a breeze. Norma mailed us a packet of brochures before our arrival and even mailed us some forgotten clothes and some great maple syrup upon our return. We used West side road several times to by pass the traffic on 16 in Conway and found a great roadside stand with the best corn and homemade pies. We had good fried clams and fried haddock in Ossipee at Jakes Seafood, had a great lunch and brews at Woodstock Station and Brewery when we drove the Kancamangus from Conway to Lincoln area, took a gondola ride up Loon Mtn and enjoyed the view, enjoyed Storyland through a new generation's eyes, took a road trip to Maine and had a nice lunch at the River Restaurant in West Paris, and just enjoyed being at the cabin. Once at the cabin you feel a million miles away from everything but 6 miles from the cabin we had takeout pizza one night at the Community Mkt and Deli and thanks to Norma's info, found a local CVS pharmacy 15 mins away, so we could pick up a forgotten prescription. A great location, the best owner to deal with and a home stocked with anything you would need, what else could you ask for? Thanks again Norma!

Our family just spent a great weekend at Norma's Cabin, celebrating Mom's 70th birthday with the kids and grandkids. The cabin is immaculate and meticulously maintained, and was everything we had expected and more! The photos don't begin to demonstrate all the amenities the cabin has to offer - there isn't anything you could need that isn't provided. We enjoyed homemade waffles on the new waffle iron, and also got to enjoy the firepit and fabulous gas grill. Norma is the ultimate hostess, providing homemade goodies for us, and giving us lots of suggestions for things to do in the area. The cabin is a perfect place for a get away and for enjoying time together as a family. We hope to return again! Thank you Norma!

You won't go wrong renting this beautiful cabin, and you especially can't go wrong with the owner Norma. The cabin is clean, well maintained, and is EXCEPTIONALLY equipped. The listing states that everything you need is included, and it's completely accurate. Everything you need is included. I am VERY picky and have high expectations, and this rental was first rate. Norma was a dream; she will bend over backwards to ensure that you are satisified and enjoy your stay. I will rent again because of Norma's attentiveness alone. I can't say enough about her, and her little dream cabin........

Norma is a great host and thought of everything to ensure that we had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The cabin is VERY clean, VERY well equipped and the home made goodies are a great start to any vacation. From the minute we arrived until we had to leave, our family had a fantastic time (our boys (4 and 6) wanted to move there!). In addition to all the usual attractions in the White Mountains, (Norma sends to you all the info leaflets in advance so you have plenty of time to plan your stay), if visiting in the summer a trip to Silver Lake is a MUST – crystal clear water, the main beach has picnic tables, BBQ and a swimming dock for a full day of fun, the best part is its only 5/10 minutes away. We’ve rented several vacation homes over the years, and definitely give the Cabin a 5 star rating! Norma, I hope it won’t be too long before we can bring the boys back to ‘Norma’s Log Cabin’!! Thanks again for a fantastic stay!

We spent a lovely week at this wooded retreat with our 20-month-old and 3 1/2 year old daughters. It was quiet, private and perfectly appointed. Everything we needed (and hadn't even thought of needing) was there. The cabin is immaculate, clean and well-decorated. Feels like staying in a luxurious bed and breakfast. Our hostess even went out of her way to provide us with her homemade treats, a bottle of homemade maple syrup (which we never got to use and forgot to bring home- darn!) and marshmallows for our little girls to roast in their wonderful fire pit. The layout was a little challenging having little ones who often need things from their bedrooms or kitchen, but we spent a lot of time out and about so it wasn't too bothersome. Overall, a great experience with a lovely hostess!

My husband and I spent 5 nights in Norma's cabin and wished we could have stayed longer. She has created the perfect getaway. Staying here was as comfortable as being at home. Norma provides everything you could think of right down to spices for cooking. She also has games, puzzles, magazines, books (for everyone) and movies. The pictures on the website are very acturate, if not, understated. We are already looking forward to a return visit. Thank you, Norma. You are a pleasure to work with. Enjoyed the goodies!

My husband and I stayed in Norma's cabin for a week in late May and it was wonderful. Everything is there and it is perfect! The VBRO listing and pictures were accurate and if anything, understated. I know that is hard to believe, but it is true. The cabin in on a quiet street with easy access to all off the major attractions, shops and restaurants. Our only regret was that we did not see a bear or moose in the yard or while we were hiking. Norma is a great hostess. She provides you with everything you need for your stay plus more. From my first inquiry Norma responded quickly, providing me with answers to my questions and is easy to work with. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Norma's Cabin. Thank you Norma......

What a great experience! The cabin was spotless, completely furnished is an understatement, and the setting was picture perfect. We got to experience the cabin without snow and within a day or two got eight inches of beautiful white snow, which made the cabin all the more cozy and beautiful! Christmas couldn't have been better. Perfect place to enjoy our family without interruption or distraction. Norma was a pleasure to meet; she felt like family instantly. We had another wonderful stay at Norma's cabin. This is the third time we have stayed there. Really, that should say it all. The cabin is amazing...clean, modern, and roomy. Norma leaves everything you would need right down to washing soap for the laundry. The kids consider it to be our vacation house, but it is a heck of a lot easier than owning ourselves. This time we went to the Fryeburg Fair, as well as our usual of hiking and trekking to Story Land. The foliage was beautiful, and the weather was cool and dry the entire time. Alas, we are now 0-3 in our search for the elusive NH Moose! (Do they really exist?) Maybe next year! Thanks Norma!

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the Log Cabin for our week's stay in the White Mountain area. It was certainly one of the best lodging we have stayed at during our vacation travels over the past few years. The cabin was everything you could want in a vacation place - clean, comfortable, homey, inviting, quiet and well appointed. You would be hard pressed to find a more appealing home away from home. So glad to have stayed there and would not hesitate recommending it to our friends and others. Norma was a wonderful hostess and it was our pleasure to talk to her when we arrived and later in the week. .

This was a gorgeous cabin to stay in. Norma was the "perfect hostess" even though she wasn't at the cabin. She thought of everything. The listing was accurate as were the photos. I had to contact Norma on a couple occasions (not for any problems) and she was always polite and helpful. We DID see a MOOSE on our first day there which was so cool. I would advise anyone travelling to NH to stay here.

The kitchen is fully stocked with baking supplies and condiments. We loved your baked goods and appreciate the bathroom toiletries. EVERYTHING in the cabin was so thoughtfully put together that we felt right at home. We did venture off to explore the town but our best times were at the cabin. My family and I loved Norma's cabin!! We stayed there for one week, and we didn't want to leave. It was so clean when we arrived and immediately felt like home. Norma was great to deal with, very nice, quick in all her responses in the booking process, and just so nice when we arrived she made us feel so welcome. We loved New Hampshire and found the cabin to be situated in a good spot. Close enough to North Conway, but not too close. And not far out in the middle of nowhere, it was a great area. We would definately recommend this cabin to everyone, we just loved it. We hope to rent this cabin again someday and have another great vacation there.
Owner response:I love renting this place out, ... it has brought me so many new friends, and they've all treated it as though it were their own...I have had the BEST people staying here!!!~~~ I like to bake, and try to always leave fresh snacks in the "snack basket" for them....if you're looking for a quiet area for a special getaway, this might just be your place! ~ It's far enough to be quiet, and close enough to the attractions of the Mt.Washington Valley!

Our annual visit to the White Mountains was incredible this year because we stumbled upon Norma's cabin as we looked for lodging. The cabin was the perfect place to come "home" to after a long day of playing outside in the snow. Norma was extremely helpful- sending materials to help us plan our trip, answering questions and making us feel welcome with her delicious chocolate treats! The cabin was clean, extremely well-stocked for culinary adventures, and simply a beautiful space. Upon walking in, I believe my first words were, "I can't wait to come back..."

The best part was having a cozy, warm cabin to come home to! Norma was such a wonderful help in planning our trip and giving us useful information and good tips! The cabin and the services that Norma provides are like a 5 star hotel! It is true that all you need to bring is your food! The kitchen is better equipped than our own! There is plenty of room for even two families if necessary and everything is ready and waiting for you when you arrive: comfortable bedrooms, well stocked bathrooms, computer access, 4 televisions and a collection of DVDs, a large patio area with gas grill, and if you're lucky, some will animals! All this, for a very reasonable price! We loved it and again want to thank Norma for helping to make our vacation so enjoyable! Thanks Norma! :) Joyce and Paul

We recently stayed in Norma's cabin. It was wonderful! The location is perfect for enjoying the White Mountain Region. We were able to travel the Kancamagus Highway, visit Diana's Baths, ride the Conway Scenic Railroad, travel up to the top of Cannon Mountain, hike the Flume Gourge and play at Six Gun City. We ate most of our meals in the cabin. Norma had everything there we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable. Our children enjoyed her video collection and we all had quality family time with the board games and puzzles. She was the most wonderful hostess. She even baked us a yummy treat to welcome us there :) If you have a chance to rent this property, please do! You will not be disappointed!

The facilities of Norma's cabin would be hard to improve upon for a vacation home. The tranquil setting and Norma's warm welcome to her home ensure a relaxing stay. Its proximity to the area attractions leaves you with a wide variety of things to do whether you are 6 or 60! The one negative is that Norma cannot guarantee you the siting of a moose! However we did see a black bear and a deer which was great, we hope to return in search of the moose. Thank you Norma for a lovely week. Ted and Kate Tolliday UK

We stayed there a few weeks ago and let me tell you that this place is exactly as advertised. We received a reply including a quote and additional information right away. The owners were very attentive, friendly but not intrusive. We almost rented a house in Thornton, but because of the attitude of the owner and the lack of professionalism, we chose this house instead and were not disappointed. The price is right, the house is very clean. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect getaway in the area. 10/10!

The location is perfect (near storyland, mountains, swimming, but private away from crowds and tourists. Our kids (aged 2 and 5) especially loved the loft area and the "talking deer" in the basement! Norma is a great hostess and came by to deliver a tea pot when we couldn't find one. The kitchen has everything you'd need to eat in the whole time (we ate out only twice). We will definately come again next summer. I only hope others don't book it up first!

The owner ( how this the nicest person ever)makes sure that Everything you need is there from toiletries to pots and pans to a plate of freshly bakes goodies waiting for you when you walk in. This place is emaculate. the master bedroom is awesome with its sleep number bed. I could go on and on. You won't regret a thing if you go with this house. I will definitly make a stay every year from here on out leslie moniz

By far one of the best places to stay for fun and relaxation in New Hampshire!! Everything is very clean, furnished with new appliances, and decorated for a log cabin feel (the pictures speak for themselves). Not only is it close to the outlets and ski resorts, but this cabin has everything that you will need to make it a home away from home. Also, Norma (owner/host) is one of the warmest and most generous people you will ever meet. We are definitely planning repeat trips back to this place!

This was our first vacation in N.H., but we've stayed at many cabins in the past. We had a memorable, pleasurable stay, thanks to the hospitality and first-class accomodations of Norma's cabin. The fresh-baked, homemade goodies greeted our arrival,as did the owner, Norma. She is a sweet, vibrant, outgoing lady who made our stay even more memorable as she showed us through the cabin, remarking how she actually made some of the rustic pieces such as the railings and banisters of materials retrieved from the property itself. We had a great time swapping stories of our own (we have been cutom-building/finishing our own log home) and found it so unique to meet a woman who posesses such a pioneer spirit in everything she does. It definitly showed throughout the home (forget cabin-this place may as well be called your second home-at least you would wish it to be) with all of the special, cozy, warm hearted touches she has placed with special guests in mind. We had a great time there, as well as some of the food to be found while staying there. We had dinner three times alone at the Yankee Smokehouse, and already miss the flavorful, smoky delectables to be found there. The manager of the place actually saw our trailer packed with our motorcycles across the street from the restaurant at the gift shop the day of our departure, and came over to surprise us as we were shopping to say goodbye and good luck. Nice people, those folks up in New Hampshire ;) We would have to say that it was a memorable stay.......Thanks, Norma

Perfection! This is what Norma strives for in pleasing her guests. In addition to being friendly, she is a truly sincere person. Upon arrival, we were greeted with delicious, freshly baked goods. The cabin was absolutely immaculate & the decor was indeed cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our home-cooked meals. Both bathrooms were well-equipped with plenty of thick towels & cute toiletry baskets. All the beds were arranged with ironed, plush, high-thread count sheets. We highly recommend this place to anyone because for us, it was a taste of paradise! We'll be back!!

My family and I have been coming to New Hampshire for 38 years and this is the best the cleanest house we had rented. My wife and I have always dream of staying at the Log cabin, and this is it.Five Starr.

This was our first time in New Hampshire and we were there for two weeks during the summer. We have stayed in many cabins, but none have been as clean and well kept as Norma's. Her warm welcome and every detail at the cabin made us feel like we were staying with family. Coming from Florida, we really appreciated the cool weather! The sights are beatiful! We especially enjoyed the view from Wild Cat Mountain and Cathedral Ledge(very close to the cabin). Our two sons were very happy to visit Diana's bath twice and get their feet wet in the shallow pools. It was a great experience for our family! We really did not want to leave and we definitely want to go back!

We stayed 3 days, 2 nights this March during a Noreaster! The cabin was comfortable and cozy with all the modern conveniences...we sipped hot cocoa from LLBean and read books from the local bookstore as the winds whipped and howled outside. The fireplace was roaring and the cabin was warm. We braved the weather for a snowshoeing expedition and had a great time. The driveway was kept plowed and the roads were clear: our 2 wheel drive cavalier had no problems. Come wind or rain, snow or sun, we'll definetly be back!

This is our third time at the BEST cozy cabin ever!...and we cannot get enough! We absolutely love it! Two words to sum it up: COMFORTABLE & CONVENIENT! It's like home away from home, and such great access to anything and everything-snowshoeing, hiking, snowboarding/skiing, xc skiing, kayaking, canoeing, site seeing, moose touring, rock climbing, shopping, and great dining!.. etc. Oh, and you cannot forget the most wonderful hostess EVER-THANK YOU NORMA

We spent last weekend at this property and all I can say is - excellent. It was our first experience of New Hampshire cabin life and a really great place to take my parents who were visiting from the UK. The cabin is spotless, large, impeccably furnished and very homely. Norma was also very welcoming and regularly emailed me updates on snow and sent brochures on the area so that we could plan our trip. Anyone considering staying in New Hampshire should consider this cabin - I would give it 5 stars!
