Wayne is an avid fisherman and enjoyed a day of sportsfishing with Captain Clay out of Kaunakakai Harbour on Molokai with his family.
Why the Owner Chose Other Kaluakoi Properties
Whan we first came to Molokai in Fall of 2004 we fell in love with Molokai's beauty and peaceful lifestyle. We viewed several different condos at another nearby location with very distant water views. When we entered this unit (2161) at Kaluakoi Helen and I immediately knew this was the unit we wanted because it's view was so overwhelming. I was immediately drawn to the lanai and didn't want to leave. We have never grown tired of the view of the ocean, waves, whales, rainbows and fabulous sunsets.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
As mentioned above the views are fantastic and everchanging throughout the day(s). We are on the second floor, corner unit in building 16 which in our opinion offers unique benefits. We are on the windward side of the building facing the gentle trade winds and has an overhang on the lanai which provides shade that that lower units do not. Being on the second floor also affords privacy and similar views from the bedroom as are provided from the lanai. The unique location of building 16 also provide unobstructed views and more privacy than most other buildings.

Wonderfully equiped condo with a lanai accessed from the living room and bedroom. If you are looking for a place to unwind and willing to cook for yourself (there aren't any restaurants nearby and my wife enjoys cooking) this is a great place to sit out on the lanai and watch the ocean and wild turkeys go by. We even saw some deer run by one morning. The grounds are well kept. There is an abandoned hotel and golf course next to this property which is a little depressing, but my wife and I enjoyed walking along some of the abandoned fairways of the golf course and speculating about all the politics of the development issues they must be having on the island of Molokai. We appreciated the stark difference to the hussle and bustle on Maui and Oahu.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+.

This condo is a true gem! It has THE most beautiful view of the sunset you will ever see. We sat on the lanai many nights, relaxing and watching whales during the day and sunsets at night. Very clean, comfortable and cozy, this condo was one of the best places we stayed during our 3-week vacation to the Hawaiian islands. There is a very short walk to the beach and pool area. Plus, it is around some of the most natural and beautiful sights in Hawaii. Highly recommended!

Soooo relaxing and enjoyable. Great view! Multiple great beaches within walking distance. I loved my stay here. Hear the waves crashing as you fall asleep. See whales from Kiaka rock. Find your inner peace away from the fast-paced world of traffic and craziness.

My visit to the Hawaiin Islands wasn't complete until I stayed here. Each of the islands is so different and this one may be my favorite. Of course staying in a condo with the best view of the ocean and its cool breezes helped make it special. The owners have thought of everything you might need for your stay, and more. The island is a quiet getaway. You can swim, hike, snorkel, or simply lay back and read a good book. Travel down to the Leper Colony. I prefer the small plane ride, but you can take a mule ride down. Pick up your groceries in town and remember that the island has a limited but adequate supply of items. The gift shops contain items made by the locals. You can take a ferry over to Maui and enjoy the day there and return that evening. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. P.S. Any time of the year is great. We've stayed in the summer and in the winter. Aloha.

The view from the condo is simply breathtaking. My husband and I stayed for a duration of two weeks, and felt it difficult to leave such a gem. Clean, and well maintained, I would reccomend this condo for a couple or a family looking to spend some quality time, and enjoy some beautiful sights from the condo and around the island. The owners were more than happy to help and accomdate us and made sure we enjoyed our stay. I would 100% reccomend this place to rent.

The sunsets are gorgeous! Very comfortable unit with new carpet. Great location for walks up and down the coast. Also there is a nearby pool! My wife and I loved our whole trip to Molokai and the rest of Hawaii. We highly recommend this property!
