Big Bear and Little Bear Lodge overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee sleeps up to 15 people with five bedrooms, four baths, two living rooms plus a family room with sleeping area, a loft, and one-and-one-half kitchens.
Please note that due to remodelling the front of the home will be different than the photos.
In the main house, the large, cathedral ceiling living room has a fireplace and is open to the dining and complete kitchen area. There is also a three-quarter bath and a bedroom with a queen and a twin bed on this main floor.
Upstairs there is a full bath, a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed and a loft sitting area. The lower level has a sitting area with pop-up trundle bed that can create a queen-size bed, a large family room with a full-size air hockey table, a three-quarter bathroom, and a laundry area.
Little Bear Lodge, to the left of the main house,has an additional 700 square feet of living space. This living room/dining area has a pull-out couch and dining for six. There is a large counter top area with a two-burner cooktop, microwave, griddle, and a coffee maker and a full size refrigerator. One bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other has two twins. There is a full bathroom and a small deck.
The home sits on a two-acre lot with horseshoes, volleyball, and other games - great for large groups of friends and family get-togethers. The home is just one lot back from the Long Island beach. Lifeguards are usually on duty during peak times and the boat launch is just across the street.
The lodges contain all your basic kitchen utensils, dishes, and silverware. There are cherry hardwood and pine floors and almost all the furnishings are newer in the mission and lodge style. There are three TV's with VCR or DVD and a gas grill. Guests are responsible for their own linens and towels. Five cars maximum.
Winter Guests - Only the main home that sleeps 9 is available during the late fall through early spring. It is a great place for snowmobiling and ice fishing.

We love Lake Winnipesaukee and feel lucky to have vacationed there as kids. We enjoy taking a relaxing trip in the boat to one of the many restaurants, food shopping or for ice cream. Or taking the kids wakeboarding or tubing. It doesn't get any better than Lake Winnipesaukee.

Lake Winnipesaukee is the ideal place to spend time with family & friends. Large, very clean lake with lots of activities. This home is just steps away from the beach but without the water-front price tag.

This is a great home to rent. It is large, clean and very nicely decorated. The bedrooms are quite big and the beds are very comfortable. The decks are nice to sit outside and watch the fireflies fly by. What we loved most about this property is the view of the bay coming over the bridge onto Long Island - stunning!

This is the 2nd year that our family rented this house and both vacations were some of the best times we have had together. The house is big enough to accomodate extended family and friends and makes you feel like home as soon as you get there. Three large bedrooms in the main house with comfortable beds. The living room and downstairs recreation room are very spacious and comfortable - enough room for the kids and adults to hang out in their own space. Nice outside deck area with large table and grill. The additional separate apartment is awesome - very neat and tidy with plenty of room. There is a huge yard with a fire pit and picnic tables. And a quick walk to the awesome beach where the water is crystal clear. LIfeguards on duty are very attentive. I would highly recommend this property. Owners are a pleasure to deal with. We hope to return again soon!

The house is in a perfect location. We spent our trip fishing and snowmobiling. We could do everything we need right from the house. Lots of room and a great view of the lake. The owners really tried to mke sure our trip was a good one. We look forward to renting again for the next derby.

What a beautiful home the Mittons have in Moultonborough, NH! Their home was very spaceous and clean. When we first walked in, we were in awe of the place! We loved the fireplace in the evenings. Very relaxing stay we all had. My daughter was married that same weekend at Castle In The Clouds and the Mitton's home was not far from the Castle so it made for a easy commute to and from each place. Everything was convenient and close by such as stores, restaurants and gas stations etc. Jo Jo's Deli is a great place to get subs or grinders as some of us call them as they were delicious! A couple of us got to visit the Old Country Store and there are so many things to do and see in the area. We're all hoping to go again next summer for a week's stay this time and check out more of the attractions available in the surrounding areas, especially would go take the tour of the Castle in The Clouds. Steve and Madelyn Mitton were available at a moments call if we needed anything at the house. We all had a awesome time and enjoyed the Mitton's home immensely!! We would recommend their house for a vacation getaway anytime! Thank you Mittons for your hospitality!

This is our 6th year renting this home, and every year it gets better. The house and apartment are outstanding, and no one could ask for a better owner. Madelyn is great and the lake is the best there is anywhere in the east.If you need room for a large family this is the rental you want.

This was a lovely home, well-appointed, very clean, easy to find. The landlord was good to work with. Lots of closet space in the bedrooms. We enjoyed the air hockey! For a good breakfast for those on a budget, try the Village Kitchen on highway 25, east of Moultonborough Neck Road.
