Why the Owner Chose Kawama Yacht Club
We first came to the Florida Keys in celebration of our 30th Anniversary. We traveled all up and down scenic US-1, discovering all kinds of tropical treasures. We knew we would be back soon. We returned the following year with no intentions of doing anything but kicking back and relaxing but we found ourselves investigating the "what if's". What if we had our own little piece of paradise? It was on this trip that we discovered "Our Kozy Key" and without reservation, we made it our own. Perfect!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
One of the reasons we were so taken with our townhouse is it's location. It is situated within a gated community, off the beaten path yet accessible to restaurants, parks and shopping. We've got 2 adult bikes and 1 youth bike for our frequent visits to these spots. We have a heated swimming pool just outside of our door and the sandy lagoon is just steps away as well. It's great having the pool so near, especially when the grand kids are visiting and the lagoon offers hours of fun for children and adults as well. Swimming, building sand castles, feeding the fish, snorkeling etc. We are located ocean side and have a beautiful beach just a short distance from our townhouse. There is a fishing jetty extending into the ocean which is not only great for fishing but for catching the sunset as well.
The Key Largo area is easy to get to. It's convenient to both the Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports. The activities in the area are boundless and US-1 offers unlimited ocean views and activities all the way to Key West.

We're Greg and Stevie, that's short for Stephanie! We like to joke that we've been married all our lives. It's been a long time :) We have two daughters and three grandchildren and we're happy to have earned the names, Granny and PaPa. We grew up in Michigan and Ohio and as kids we didn't mind the cold snowy winters. We had a great time playing in the snow, ice skating, skiing and sledding. But now days we enjoy spending our winters in the warm tropical breezes of the sunny Florida Keys. Fishing, biking, snorkeling, roller blading, playing tennis, kayaking and of course enjoying the fresh catch of the day. It's all right here on USA soil and easy to get to by plane or car.

Our family had a great time... including our 7 month old, 2 year old and their Granny. The townhouse is in great shape and well equipped to handle the little ones with the pack n' play, stroller, and beach toys. The complex was very quiet in early November, so we had the pool and lagoon to ourselves most of the time. It was a great place to relax and unwind.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

We think this was our family's 12th vacation rental home! We use vacation rentals so we can cook our own meals and have more space. We are familiar with what to expect and how to "do" a vacation rental. We really enjoyed our stay at Kozy Key. We found the location of the rental to be as described and used it as a base to explore the Keys and Everglades National Park. The unit was just as pictured here; clean, in good repair and home-like. We appreciated that it was also "stocked" with spices and other supplies that we could use if/as needed. We also appreciated the pool being just out the back door and the bikes provided. The owners were very helpful and just plain nice while answering questions, giving clear information about rental procedures and suggesting ideas of things to see and do in the area. I would hardily recommend this rental to others--there were other units in Kawama with ocean views but this one had the best location to the lagoon and pool. We went to Dolphin Research Center and would recommend it to others as well. We had our kids ages 12 & 14 stay with us here.

This was the second time my mother and I visited Kozy Key and it was just as great as the first time. Clean, peaceful and fun. Much warmer this year than last (thank goodness!). We had everything we needed and enjoyed grilling fresh caught fish from my mate Robyn who lives in the Keys. She even brought us stone crabs from her traps -- Yum! Take some time to drive down to Whale Habor - nice cheap bar & grill with a beautiful view and nice people (Islamorada on ocean side). Don't forget to stop in at the Caribbean Club - best view on the bay side. We hope to return again. Thanks so much for the wonderful accommodations!

We had a very good time at our kozy key. The place was clean and comfortable. We used it as a base to explore the areas around key largo. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting excellent accomodations.

This was the last stop on a 3 week holiday around Florida. Stevie made the booking easy and and made us feel welcome even before we arrived. The house is spotlessly clean and it has all the convieniences of home. The Bovees had supplied us with a list of activities and restaurants in the area so we were able to plan in advance. There is a pool, however we preferred to swim in the lagoon right at the back door. The little fish swim right up into your hand. The kids loved it. There are plenty of places to take go fishing, snorkling or just out on a boat to see the reef. There is a lovely dock side restaurant within a 10 minute walk and there is also a great Italian nearby that does take-out if you don't fancy cooking after a long day lazing by the lagoon. I would also recommend going to see the sunset - it's incredible.

We had a fantastic time staying at the condo! We loved that it was conveniently located to anything we needed and yet was definitely removed from every day life. The size of the condo was a pleasant surprise. There were two adults and one child in our group and there would have easily been room for additional people. The main living area is located downstairs and is quite large for a two bedroom unit. The bedrooms, both located upstairs, were very large. The property had all the comforts of home, from a well stocked pantry to plenty of sheets, towels, and blankets, and toys for children. The pictures in the rental listing doesn't do the property justice! Upon opening the sliding glass door to the patio, we discovered we were just a few steps away from the pool and saltwater lagoon. Stevie was outstanding in communicating with us through the entire rental process. It was great, knowing she was available for any and all questions and concerns. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to rent here again. If you get the chance to visit Key Largo, this rental is the perfect property! Be sure not to miss some of the surrounding restaurants...Hobo's was our favorite.

We were very pleased with the excellent accommodations at Our Kozy Key. The setting was peaceful & quiet, and the location perfect for our visit to the Island Dolphin Care. The townhouse was perfect for our family to relax and we also loved the kitchen which had everything we needed. We definitely will come back to the Our Kozy Key when we return to Key Largo.
