Kawama is convenient to many fine and unique Keys restaurants, entertainment, shopping, scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing, jet-skiing, fishing, sailing, boating, casino cruises, bike rentals, Harley rentals, and golf (25 miles). You are located just a few minutes from Pennekamp State Park and Marine Sanctuary where water sport rentals including canoeing and kayaking are available. Swim with the Dolphins at "Dolphins Plus" in Key Largo, the "Dive Capital." Kawama is only 20 miles south of the Everglades and Biscayne National Park. Islamarda, just 20 minutes toward Key West, is known as the "Fishing Capital of the World." Take a beautiful two hour drive down US-1 to scenic and historic Key West.

Why the Owner Chose Kawama Yacht Club
We first came to the Florida Keys in celebration of our 30th Anniversary. We traveled all up and down scenic US-1, discovering all kinds of tropical treasures. We knew we would be back soon. We returned the following year with no intentions of doing anything but kicking back and relaxing but we found ourselves investigating the "what if's". What if we had our own little piece of paradise? It was on this trip that we discovered "Our Kozy Key" and without reservation, we made it our own. Perfect!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhouse Condominium
One of the reasons we were so taken with our townhouse is it's location. It is situated within a gated community, off the beaten path yet accessible to restaurants, parks and shopping. We've got 2 adult bikes and 1 youth bike for our frequent visits to these spots. We have a heated swimming pool just outside of our door and the sandy lagoon is just steps away as well. It's great having the pool so near, especially when the grand kids are visiting and the lagoon offers hours of fun for children and adults as well. Swimming, building sand castles, feeding the fish, snorkeling etc. We are located ocean side and have a beautiful beach just a short distance from our townhouse. There is a fishing jetty extending into the ocean which is not only great for fishing but for catching the sunset as well.
The Key Largo area is easy to get to. It's convenient to both the Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports. The activities in the area are boundless and US-1 offers unlimited ocean views and activities all the way to Key West.

We're Greg and Stevie, that's short for Stephanie! We like to joke that we've been married all our lives. It's been a long time :) We have two daughters and three grandchildren and we're happy to have earned the names, Granny and PaPa. We grew up in Michigan and Ohio and as kids we didn't mind the cold snowy winters. We had a great time playing in the snow, ice skating, skiing and sledding. But now days we enjoy spending our winters in the warm tropical breezes of the sunny Florida Keys. Fishing, biking, snorkeling, roller blading, playing tennis, kayaking and of course enjoying the fresh catch of the day. It's all right here on USA soil and easy to get to by plane or car.

Your Kozy Key was terrific; I just loved your fish motifs, paint colours, comfortable beds, heated pool, selection of dishes, and under cabinet lighting :) Your little notes were very helpful too. You may want to add one about recycling; your kind Canadian neighbor showed us were it was. My children enjoyed the St. Pat's bash on the 17th, the cleaning ladies' dog, and the parrot fish!
