This home is actually exactly as it is described by the owner and the previous guests, and perhaps more. Beautiful view, very clean spacious interiors with professional cooking equipment. This is definitely a great place to stay if you have a family to feed and enjoy cooking on vacation. The pantry is already well stocked on your arrival and the owner is very generous in sharing it with us. Easy access to grocery stores and of course, one can also catch a fish or two off the beach. We caught two but too small to eat! We ate ALL our meals on the deck and also built a bonfire on our private beach as suggested by a previous guest. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and I have no reservation in recommending this house if you are in the area. The owner is honest and very responsive.

An absolutely incredible place to stay when visiting Nova Scotia or Antigonish! The owner's pictures and the description can't do enough to describe this home. The house is absolutely beautiful with incredible views up and down the beach. Beautifully decorated, state of the art kitchen, large deck, gas fireplace, steam shower, jacuzzi tub - what wasn't to love about this house! Because of the awesome location of this house, we were able to visit almost everywhere in Nova Scotia, yet it is far enough away from Antigonish that the sound of the ocean waves is all you will hear. The owner is also kind enough to have wood ready for you to build a bonfire on the beach. I would highly recommend this home!

Comments: Our stay at Highland Beach House was absolutely perfect. The home is exceptionally well maintained with a beautiful gourmet kitchen, great decks, lots of bedroom space and a lovely fireplace. Truly a home away from home for our Thanksgiving weekend with our daughter who is a student at St. FX University. Our first experience with VRBO Rentals exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend VRBO and this home in particular! A. & D. Curtis, Toronto, OntarioOctober, 2009

Our week at Highland Beach House was wonderful. It's private and comfortable and has a beautiful beach. It's about 15 minutes to a good restaurants but the house and setting are so lovely that it is a pleasure just to be there. We were able to do a day trip from here around the Cabot Trail but the real pleasure was the house and deck and a great beach.

Comments: Highland Beach House was the perfect spot for our family summer vacation. The house looks out onto a beautiful stretch of beach that was a great place for the kids to hang out and served up some postcard perfect sunsets. Some days were spent just enjoying the views and others doing day trips including the majestic Cabot Trail. The house was nicely finished with a great de3ck for coffee or dinners overlooking the ocean and the steam shower in the master bedroom was a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Ok- so we are moving to Nova Scotia. That's how much we loved this house, this location, this province. Can't describe all our advertures using the beach house as a base camp, and what a base camp! Dining al fresco every evening- bonefires on the beach- beautiful sunsets every night. A truly magical vacation, enjoyed by all the Bogards.

What a fantastic house! The weather has been so kind to us, that we spent most of the time here, enjoying the beach, the view and the sunsets. The peace and quiet was just what we needed. Our two teenage children went swimming in the sea, lots of nice memories for us. to take back home. Thank-you for a lovely stay.

We can't say enough about this home. It exceeded our expectations. The gourmet kitchen, steam bath and the location to the beach were the highlights of our vacation. A great location for day trips and just relaxing on the beach which is in the backyard of this house. The town of Antigonish had everything we desired-gourmet restaurants, gourmet grocery stores, shopping, etc. All of our dealings with the owner and the house keeper went smoothly. Thanks for a great vacation rental.

The accommodation and setting lived up to all our expectstions. Six of us spent an idyllic week, even the weather was perfect. Swimming is good and sunsets and sunrises viewed from the ocean front deck are spectacular.
