  The unit is not terribly fancy, but it had everything you need. And the location and surroundings are outstanding. Eat on the patio as the kids run around on the GIANT lawn. Steps to the beach. At Kiahuna, location really does make a huge difference, and this location is superb. We realized this year that we had actually stayed in this same unit a couple years ago. We'll make a point of staying here again. Worth mentioning: some of the resort's amenities aren't aging terribly well. The motor was broken on the water slide; the pool is looking a little tired; one set of steps to the beach was closed off. We just steered clear of the pool area and focused on the lawn and beach instead. Had a wonderful time. Thanks!

  This condo is everything described and more. Checkin was easy and is open 24 hours a day - always good with late arrivals from the mainland. The huge sliding front doors look out on a beautiful lawn only steps from an amazing sand beach. Some of the beach is good for beginning surfers, some areas good for snorkelers and a lot of the beach is perfect for swimmers - even small ones. We loved the grassy, shaded area above the beach as a place to sit and read and watch dozens of whales. I thought that it was great to be able to check out beach toys for the kids as well as towels, chairs and umbrellas from the beach hut. We never needed to get on a boat for whale watching. The condo has a very well equipped kitchen, lots of good books, a beautiful bathroom, and very comfortable furnishings. I love the shutters on three sides and the wonderful cooling breezes from the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the sunny lanai and reading while we waited for the beautiful sunsets. This was a wonderful experience. Kiahuna Plantation is very well located, just across the street from a nice shopping center with good restaurants, fun shops, and a store to buy a few groceries, sunscreen and wine. Check out the free hula show a couple nights a week. We loved this place. We will come here again.
