This is the side of Kauai with the MOST SUN AND BEST WEATHER all year long. Kekaha beach is the LONGEST WHITE SAND BEACH in all of Hawaii. This natural, uncrowded beach stretches for more than 15 miles & offers swimming, surfing, boogie boarding and fishing. It's the best walking beach on the island and leads all the way to the cliffs of the NaPali coast. Just 2 blocks from our driveway is the road leading to WAIMEA CANYON. Two large grocery stores are 2 miles away. Minutes to the harbor to catch a sunset cruise along the famous NaPali coast. Watch the whales from the beach.
Custom constructed in 2000, this plantation style home is open and airy with SOARING CEILINGS, and is ONLY 200 FEET FROM THE OCEAN. The UPSCALE furnishings are from the collections of Tommy Bahama, Henry Link, and Delano and Seymour's Hawaiian House. There are many original art pieces of Hawaiian influence and island style. You'll find yourself spending most of your time outside on the 36 FOOT OCEAN SIDE LANAI! After a day at the beach, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower.
Within the large, private yard, are multitudes of flowering plants, as well as fruit trees such as orange, papaya, Pomegranate, lemon, avocado, mango, and lime. There is nothing like sitting on the Oceanside lanai, having a drink, and reaching for a lime from the tree while enjoying the changing colors of the sky as the sun sets over the ocean. The MASTER SUITE IS OCEAN SIDE with an OVER SIZED SHOWER FOR TWO. Two other bedrooms share a bath and a side lanai. The gourmet kitchen is a cook's dream. Enjoy meals at home with dining inside or out on the lanai as the sun sets on another beautiful day.
A short 25 minute ride to Poipu with it's upscale shopping and dining options. Fabulous snorkeling at Poipu Beach.

* Thank you so much for providing such a lovely, well-appointed home. We had everything we needed and really couldn't have asked for a better home to relax in and enjoy Kauai. The decor, furnishings, bed linens, artwork, kitchenware, ocean accessories, etc., were so appreciated and useful. I came back home and told my husband, all of our kitchenware is basically 'crap' and we need to upgrade! You spoiled me!
We truly had a wonderful time and our 8-year-old daughter never wanted to leave. She fell head over heels in love with your backyard and we videotaped her saying goodbye (tears and all) to the back of the house. It was so pitifully sweet and quite heartbreaking. She keeps asking us why we choose to live in Kentucky when we could live in Kauai. Funny, if it weren't for career and family, I'd wonder the same thing.
Thank you again for the beautiful home and all that came with it. You have a very special place in Kauai and we hope to visit again soon.

Why the Owner Chose Kekaha
I previously had purchased on condo at Lae Nani on the East side. However, it became apparent that the traffic was becoming difficult to navigate all day. Also, being from the Northeast, I had seen enough rainy, cloudy weather. I wanted to be on the dry and sunny side with access to the best beach for walking, boogie boarding, surfing, and swimming. I found Kekaha Beach and loved the traditional Hawaii of the Westside, plus the Waimea Canyon is only steps away.

The mornings with a crystal clear cobalt blue sky. The cool nights and warm dry sunny days.
In 20 minutes I can be up in the canyon for a day of hiking and the sounds of nature. The close proximity to Polihale Beach is very special as is this wild beach with spectacular dunes and nature's own pool called Queen's Pond. You can eat out on the lanai almost every night without any bugs or strong tradewinds blowing in from the ocean. It is the best restaurant seat on the island!

I have to say that staying at Hale Anuenue is one of the nicest vacations we have ever had. The house was beautifully appointed, very comfortable and immaculate. Sitting on the lanai, as we did for every meal the month we were there, was sensational in the true sense of the word as we were surrounded by flowers, birds, butterflies, warm breezes with the sound of the ocean in the background. Kekaha is the dry side of the island so even if was raining elsewhere we were always surrounded by sunlight and then beautiful sunsets in the evening over the beach 2 blocks away. If it hadn't already been booked I think we would have tried to stay on all winter!

All 4 of us who stayed in your magnificent home and celebrated both holidays on the beautiful Island of Kauai can not say enough about ourvacation. Your home and all of it's amenities are awesome. Nothing has been left out for sure. We loved moving from one lanai to another and taking in all the color of the flowers, sunsets and sunrises. You have made your home so appealing for anyone who stays there. Very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, beautiful kitchen etc. etc. It was so very clean and well kept and you were so quick to answer any questions we had. I have told everyone in my office about this and directed them to the website. Tidepools and the Beach House Restaurant were amazing. Thank you for everything and we will be back.

My family had a great time in this home. Perfect for 4. 3rd bedroom is a den. Lanai was great in the back to sit and relax. Near to restaurants and food shopping. At the time we were there (August) you could not swim at the beach nearby. We drove to a great beach about 15 minutes away Salt Pond. Kitchen fully stocked if you want to cook. Master shower was great. Beach Chairs, umbrella and towels provided. I would return if I get back to Kauai someday. Lisa from NJ

We rented two VRBO properties on our vacation, and the difference couldn't have been more stark; your place was clean, comforting, spacious, and wonderful. Coming back to your house elicited sighs of relief, and allowed us to relax. In fact, it was hard to pry our kids out of the house to go exploring! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your house to anyone looking for a perfect vacation. A totally wonderful property. Thanks again.

We had such a lovely stay at your beautiful Kekaha home! It was perfect for us. This was the 1st VRBO home we’ve rented where the home was superb compared to the pictures! We loved it- it was so clean, it had all the amenities of home plus more! We enjoyed every meal on the Lanai, even when it was very warm out. The master shower and outdoor shower were fantastic! Plus all the beach equipment, snorkeling, towels, kiddie toys…just great. But the Blue Ray player and new TV was out of this world. We only watched 20 minutes or so each evening before we retired, or fell asleep watching, but the picture was scary real! Lastly, Sarah was great. We had 2 phone calls to her and she was extremely prompt with our needs. Thank you for making our visit to Kauai so easy with a fantastic home to stay. We’ll definitely recommend your home to others.

Dear Chad & Scott, MY husband and I went to Kauai with another couple to celebrate my 60th b-day, we had a great time. The house of rainbows was an experience that we will always remember. The kitchen was equipped with every cooking utensil you could possible need and more to prepare a fabulous meal. The garden and fruit trees were spectacular plenty of fresh mangos,papayas and lemons. The sad part of the trip was leaving that beautiful home. I would go back there in a heartbeat. Thank you both so much for offering you home to us for a week of heaven. Wow, what a beautiful home. We all loved the style---furnishings---design. The home contained everything we needed to enjoy ourselves from spices and outside grill to snorkel gear and beach equipment. We enjoyed spending time on the Lanai's and the yard. Great job with landscaping. The setting was very peaceful for us and the two little boys had plenty of room to explore the yard without getting into trouble. Nothing to say but positive comments about the home--very beautiful and relaxing. My wife and I were inspired to remodel part of our home based upon some of your design elements.

We just want you to know how much we enjoyed your home. First of all ,your house exceeded all of our expectations. The minute we walked in the door it felt like home. We can't think of anything else that we needed or wanted while we were there. We enjoyed grilling on your back deck while listening to the waves and roosters. We can't begin to tell you how enjoyable it was going to bed each evening. Your master bedroom has the most comfortable bed either one of us has ever experienced. Sleep hasn't been the same since. Another thing we really enjoyed was the master shower. How often can you rinse the front and back at the same time. Your home was welcoming, warm and inviting. We thank you for sharing it with us.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful house in Kekaha. We really enjoyed our stay. My grandparents were very surprised to see ocean from the house. They love nature, so your house was perfect for them. Every morning, they enjoyed watching birds from the back lanai. Every evening, they walked to the beach to see a beautiful sunset. Of course, my husband and I had a great time, too. We would like to go back to the house someday.
