This comfortable beach condo has been completely renovated (and dog proofed) with stainless steel kitchen, Italian-tile floors, marbleized bathroom, and patio. Go out the back gate onto dog beach for an off-leash stroll with your pooch (all breeds)24/7.
Enjoy the Snowy Egrets, pelicans, ducks, and sandpipers in the estuary; meander along the bike path for other birdwatching or use the two on-site bikes; a two-minute walk West along the bike path to the public (no-dog) beach and surfing, boogie boarding (four on site), or just watch the surf crash on the rocks. Walk two minutes East to the new skate-board park and wild-life viewing.
The main shopping area of "OB" (Ocean Beach) is within walking distance, including antique row. So is fishing off the OB pier or surfing alongside it. Restaurants range from the quick-and-cheap to on-the-waterfront pricey. There are many nightspots. You will not want to miss this last-of-the-original beach town atmosphere complete with street fair every Wednesday.
Ocean Beach is centrally located. It is a ten-minute drive to Mission Valley shopping malls, Sea World, Balboa Park, Old Town, Downtown San Diego, Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium, and the main airport. It is 20 minutes to the Tiajuana border.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Beach
There's just no place like Ocean Beach in my eyes. I love it here. It's a very relaxed natural atmosphere; no "artificial environment" like you find in some other communities. I walked my dogs on Dog Beach every Friday afternoon for 25 years. Finally, I knew I had to make it permanent. Ocean Beach as a community is very dog-friendly. There are even some outdoor dining establishments that allow your dog to lie at your feet while you dine. And there are some dog-centric events such as the annual "weiner-dog" races on Dog Beach. There's a Farmer's Market every Wednesday afternoon and lots of community events such as kite-flying in March, christmas parade, beach-blanket bingo,and sand castles after Thanksgiving, etc..
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Can't beat the location. We have direct access to the beach and, at night, you can see the lights from So. Mission Beach across the channel instead of the pitch blackness of the open ocean. Sometimes you can hear the wild seals barking. This is a very active community. There's something going on, like a jazz festival or whatever, just about every month. And there is a great street fair every Wednesday afternoon. We can see Sea World from here.

Hi. I'm a retired lawyer. My hobbies are playing duplicate bridge and watching football...not at the same time! I completely renovated this unit, inside and out, a few years ago. It was a true labor of love so it is near to my heart. I try to maintain it in top condition. It's near to most places you'd want to visit in San Diego and borders the beach. The Wild Animal Park and the Tiajuana border are about 20-30 minutes away. Naval bases are 10-12 minutes. It's about a mile off Interstate 8 that connects with the other freeways. I love Ocean Beach. It's one of the original So. California beach towns.

We've enjoyed everyone of our "get aways" at Sharron's property. The condo is clean and comfortable. We love the location and the walks on the beach. The yard is great and everything we need is available in the condo. We will keep coming back. Our dogs get excited when we tell them we're going on vacation to the beach. We love Ocean Beach. Check this place out, you won't have any regrets!

We had a fantastic month staying here. The home was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It was great having a backyard and backing onto the path to the beach and park. Whether hiking, biking or playing tennis this location is excellent. Our dog loved the dog parks and we enjoyed being centrally located for visiting attractions.
Recommended for:Pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

"We have spent our second winter with Sharron, Scooter and the Cats upstairs. You couldn't ask for a nicer "landlord". She is very helpful with pup sitting if you make arrangements ahead of time to be out for the day. The condo is conveniently located and nicely furnished. It is also nice to have a car port for your car while you stay. With the walking path to the dog beach it is a dog's delight. If you have never stayed in OB be sure to go to the Bar B Que place downtown OB right next to Cow CD shop, and Shades makes a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner. We can highly recommend this condo for a vacation rental. Our owners were happy, too." Maggie and Laci (the "pups")

"Let us tell you about our vacation: day 1 - beach, tacos and smiles. day 2 - beach, sunscreen, tacos and smiles. day 3 - beach, surfing, smiles and beer. day 4 - 6 More of the same and we couldn't ask for anything more! "What a precious little place you have. It's so much nicer to be right on dog beach and feel at "home". Our Australian Cattle Dog mix, Jackie, was in pure heaven! She learned to swim and play frisbee. Not sure what we're going to tell her when we get home...Littacker's has the most amazing fish tacos, and for those guests who like craft beer, taking the short drive to Stone Gardens is well worth it. We are seriously considering making San Diego our permanent home. In the meantime, we will cherish our memories of Ocean Beach, you, and your family. Best."

"We enjoyed pleasant relaxation and, of course the beach! Greta Garbo learned to swim - she also enjoyed dining out. Ocean Beach is one of the last great beach towns; it's great fun to walk around and people watch (dog watch, too) and actually have your dog invited into the shops. "Sharron, we so enjoyed chatting with you and learning more of the local history. Thank you for your cordial, welcoming presence and for allowing us to feel at home."

"Thank you so much for this great place. Both kids loved it! We went down to dog beach every day and the dogs had a blast. It was so great to just let them run and play with the other dogs.
