Welcome to our beach cottage! "The Coast Office" is a new, two-story beach cottage with four bedrooms and three baths located in OLD FLORIDA VILLAGE. The house is decorated in fun, bright, beachy colors which definitely make you feel like you've "gone coastal". And we all need that every now and then! The bedrooms are as follows: one king, two queens and a bunk room with two sets of bunks. Each room has its own television. There is also a sleeper sofa in the den.

On the ground floor, there is one queen bedroom and a full bathroom as well as the kitchen and family room. The laundry is in a closet off of the kitchen. Very convenient. In the kitchen, you will find everything you need. We've tried very hard to provide all the necessities. In the family room, we have stocked the entertainment center with movies and board games for you to enjoy.

On the second floor, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom and porch. The bunk room and queen bedroom share a hall bathroom. Each bathroom is equipped with towels and a hair dryer. There are hooks everywhere for you to hang your bathing suits and towels.

There are two other porches for you to enjoy the Gulf breezes and the friendly neighborhood. The side porch has a gas grill for your use. If you like to grill seafood, Goatfeathers has a wonderful market and is within walking distance.

When you are ready to hit the beautiful white sand beach with gorgeous emerald water, it's only a short trip to the beach access which has a picnic area and clean restrooms. Yes, it's a public beach but it is surrounded by million dollar homes and is very family-friendly. We walk, drive or bike(great bicycling area) the .3 miles to enjoy the coast. There are also two community pools in the neighborhood for you to use during your stay.

After some sand and sun, there are some great one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants just down the street in Gulf Place and on 30-A. Go shop and eat in Santa Rosa Beach or check out Grayton Beach, Seaside, Blue Mountain or Dune Allen. If you feel like taking a short ten minute drive, head to Sandestin to the outlet mall or Baytowne Wharf.

We love going to Baytowne to eat at Acme Oyster House. Destin's not far away either. And don't forget to head to the Donut Hole on your way back to the house. Wonderful bakery! Lots of places to go when you're done with the beach and the pool.

"The Coast Office" is the first house on the right as you drive into Old Florida Village. Old Florida Village is a new Seaside style quaint neighborhood of just 75 colorful cottage style homes on a quiet dead end lane on the north side of 30A. Beach access is about 500 yards.

If you have a larger group you can rent our other houses in the neighborhood, Beach Schnapps and Millions of Beaches. With those house we can accomodate up to 30 people comfortably -great for family reunions!

This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not allowed in the house or on the porches. No pets allowed either. And golf carts are no longer available.

If you haven't stayed in this area before you are in for a wonderful experience. We fell in love with Santa Rosa Beach years ago. Good times await you (and good rates, too)!

"The Coast Office" in Old Florida Village - No Work, All Play

Year Purchased: 2005

Why the Owner Chose Old Florida Village

The houses in Old Florida Village are close enough to the beach where you can enjoy the beach without the prohibitive cost being directly on the water, that way we are able to rent the house for a reasonable rate. The neighborhood sits between two state parks so there is not any over-development and the headaches that come with overcrowded areas. Seaside amneities without Seaside congestion.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Of all the units in Old Florida Village Coast Office is located closest to the beach. With the new bike paths installed the Coast Office is a very short bike ride to the beach or about a 700 yard paved walk. Coast office is also 25 yards away from the first community pool.

5/5

Great Time

Date of Stay: 05/22/11 Review Submitted: 07/03/11

We had three generations staying at The Coast Office. It was in a very good location and the house had everything that we needed. We are planning on coming back next year. The beach was close enought to walk to or drive. Shopping and dining was not far and there was plenty to do in the area. Thanks for everything. John
