Decorated for Christmas. You will enjoy viewing the outside Christmas lights while soaking in the hot tub. Warm yourself up inside next to the pellet stove and be able to view the decorations on the deck and enjoy the glow of the inside Christmas tree lights. Take pleasure in a good book, play a game of cards, or family game. Satellite TV on hand for you sports fanatics.

Nearly a carefree mini vacation with the kitchen supplied with many spices, flour, and sugar to make your gourmet meals. Your home away from home vacation. Pack your clothes and head out of town. Pick up your favorite meats and vegetables at our local grocery store in Hoodsport. Short 10/15 minute drive from cabin. Have the benefit of a trip to Hoodsport to visit the Winery or shopping along the board walk. Warm up in Hoodsport Coffee shop.

Picture yourself sitting in a rocker/recliner in front of the pellet stove watching a movie or satellite TV. Morning is enjoyed when sipping on hot coffee and reading a book or magazine. Play a game of cards or many other games provided then head off for a good night’s rest in a Quean size bed with 600 count cotton sheets in the master bedroom. Your guest will enjoy the same with the bed located at the top of the stairs at the loft landing. Kids enjoy the twin beds with 250 count cotton sheets in the upstairs bedroom with TV and VCR. The futons in the living room pull out to sleep two for a total of 8 guests in the cabin. Entertaining your children is easy. Kids favorite toys are the Marble Works, Lego’s, and dinosaurs. The competitive guest play a game of Horseshoes while you make your own fabulous meals in our well stocked kitchen that includes spices, flour, sugar, and the refrigerator has condiments and salad dressings.

Your vacation get-a-way is located 30 minutes North of Shelton and only 15 minutes from the town of Hoodsport & Hoodsport Winery. Lake Cushman is a 10 mile long lake with clear water. Your day of hiking is a short 5 to 20 minute drive from cabin depending on the trail you pick. If golfing is your desire you will enjoy our 9 hole course next to the tennis courts. Enjoy Hoodsport fireworks in July and Shelton’s Oyster Fest in October. Public boat launch to Hood Canal nearby. Scuba diving, fishing, and more.

PRIVATE COMMUNITY PARK – is approximately ¼ mile from cabin that includes boat launch, dock, gazebo, picnic tables, and swimming area. Day use only, requires a vehicle park pass & watercraft launch pass. Owners will provide only one vehicle park pass to cut down on congestion during peak season. Lake levels vary! The Lake is usually high enough to launch a watercraft from Memorial weekend thru Labor Day weekend.


SNOW-winter can bring snow; cabin just less than 800 feet. Please read posted comments. Click on link. Call Tacoma Power for lake levels. The lake is full at 738 feet.VISA and MASTER CARD ACCEPTED! Ask for details.

Maximum people at cabin and property is 8. NO PETS. We do our best to keep this cabin pet dander free for those with severe allergies.

    I booked this cabin based solely off the pictures on VRBO. The pictures don't even do the cabin justice. It's such a quiet, relaxing setting. We had such a wonderful time! The cabin was spotless and everything you could ever need was there. The kids had a blast playing on the swing. The jacuzzi, fire pit and horseshoes pit were also great.   • We had such an amazing time at the cabin. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every single day. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the lake and a short drive to Staircase and Mt Ellinor which we hiked. The new IGA grovery store was perfect as well. We were able to stock up on burgers and what not for our dinners at the cabin. The Nun family has provided a perfect getaway with tons of cooking supplies. Best cabin experience!   • This cabin was perfect for a weekend scrap booking get a way. There were five of us and every one of us truly enjoyed our stay. We didn't want for anything, it was so totally supplied with all things. My daughter and her mother in law and my daughter in law have all decided we want to come back for a family vacation together. There is so much room there and as I said we were provided with just everything. We have a timehare and it does not even come close in comparison with this cabin. This cabin makes you say over and over "I wish we had something like this!" I will definitely recommend this to all my family and friends. Karen Lakebay, Washington

  • My family had a wonderful stay at the Captains Treasure at Lake Cushman. I cannot overemphasize how much I recommend this cabin to others looking for a great vacation experience. In fact, I have already recommended it to my married children as well as some of our friends. The cabin was in immaculate condition. Every detail was thought of by the owners. All of the cabinets were well stocked with everything one would need for preparing meals. There were numerous games available as well as an extensive DVD collection. We truly enjoyed the hot tub and used it often. We are now shopping for one of our own. If you are looking for a special experience, I recommend staying in this cabin as you will not be sorry.

  • The cabin was everything the Nunn's said it would be and more. All the amenities you could ever want in the kitchen, toys for the kids, a hot tub and a beautiful setting... The Nunn's made the whole process of renting from them effortless. Would highly recommend Captains Treasure.

  • This was exactly the break that the two of us needed. A good chance to escape from our regular lives and relax. The hot tub was an excellent accomodation, as was everything else that comes to mind of our stay. A very clean and tidy place, stocked well with anything you might need during the duration of your stay. Well worth the rate and then some.

  • We have never rented as nice a place before: amazing location, impeccably clean, well appointed, and stocked to the hilt with all the things one forgets to bring to a vacation rental home (everything from paper towels to BBQ sauce, laundry detergent to candles!). With multiple boat launches literally minutes away, an outdoor hot tub with built-in stereo, huge deck with grill, three tables and one of the most comfortable Adirondack chairs I've ever sat in, fire & horseshoe pits, and plenty of room outside for kids to run around, we hardly spent any time indoors! The appliances in the kitchen were top-notch (dishwasher, stove, microwave, fridge), and having a clothes washer/dryer on site was a huge plus. Plenty of cutlery, plates, cups, and every pot, pan, and dish you could imagine (we even made a pie one day: rolling pin, pie plate and all!). One note: Hayley means it when she tells you that cell phones don't work up here; a blessing in disguise, really. The cabin's phone does have an answering machine, though, in case anyone needs to get in touch with you. No internet access either, but a few days without emails never hurt anyone! The cabin's size was much larger than the pictures made it look; would need a wide-angle camera lens to do it justice. Two full bathrooms, two floors, super-tall ceilings... We definitely recommend this cabin to anyone (couples or families) and we plan to come back in early fall. It's a long trip from Boston, but SO worth it! Thanks to Hayley & Mike for letting us rent your place! Don't know how you keep yourselves from staying up there all summer long!!!
