Let me start by saying Fumiko is absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. Communication was excellent and very well detailed. The home was described perfectly. Organized and clean. Plenty of space for our group of 9 adults. We had space to relax together and separately. There were so many things available to us that we did not anticipate but made our stay so much better. It was like staying in a hotel or on a resort but with an at home feel. The bedrooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean. All linens and bath towels are provided. The kitchen is well stocked and organized. The house is located a few short minutes away from the slopes and entrance gates. Flat driveway was perfect as we were worried about parking/driving around the mountain with the snow. We look forward to staying here again and for much longer next time! Thanks for everything fumiko!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I've been vacationing at this gorgeous home with 12 of my friends for the past 3 years. It's at the bottom of the resort mountain and just a 3 minute drive to the slopes. The home is extremly spacious, organized, and clean! The driveway has plenty of parking for a large group. Our favotrite part is relaxing in the hot tub after a long fun day! Fumiko is a very helpful and sweet lady. She responds to my emails quickly and even gives helpful tips to ensure your vacation is one to remember! I highly recommend this vacation home, it has exceeded all my expectations!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Many thanks to the owner, Fumiko, for a wonderful stay in her mountain home. We were three families (six adults and seven children) who fit very comfortably, slept well, and enjoyed the close proximity to the ski slopes and water park. For those who prefer to cook in, the house has absolutely everything a home chef could need -- from small appliances like rice cookers and hand-held mixer to an extensive collection of knives, spices, bake ware, serving dishes, etc. The contents of every cabinet is helpfully labeled and Fumiko also provided a complete inventory list before our visit. She also checked in during our stay to make sure we were comfortable in the home, familiar with the use of the hot tub, etc. She maintains very high standards of cleanliness, which I appreciated. This home is much nicer than the average VRBO rental -- but it also would not be a good place for people who can't remember to take off their shoes at the door or who don't want to make an effort to clean up after themselves. The beds are very comfortable; the bedding and towels plush and warm; and the chairs and couches also quite lovely. We did not make use of the home's games, but there are many classic board games and card games in the house. A previous reviewer noted the flock of vultures that roost in the vicinity. It is a little weird -- but the birds don't make a peep. We found their presence to be entertaining.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

A group of about 10-12 of us began renting a ski cabin on new years a few years ago, and Fumiko's house was the first place we rented. Since then we've tried a couple other places, but we had to come back to this one. There's lots of space for a big group. The house is also managed well. Fumiko has labeled everything in the kitchen and bathrooms so you won't have trouble finding that spatula or figuring out which way to turn the knobs in the shower. She's also improved the house since we were last there, adding a roof over the patio so you can grill and hang out outside in any weather. One negative about when we stayed there might not always be the case, but there was a large flock of vultures roosting in the trees around the house, so if you have anyone with a serious fear of birds that might be a downside...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Bi-annually we take a week family trip to a different location. This time around we chose Massanutten, since it was a short ride and destination none of us has been to. We chose this house because of the size, accomodations and price, which fit all our needs (except a private pool, but you can't please everyone). Upon first contact with the owner, Fumiko, we were greeted with wonderful communications and a wealth of helpful infromation about the area. She absolutely made it one of the most pain free arrangements I have ever dealt with. The house, when we arrived, was more then what we expected. It is exactly as it looks in the pictures and even better. We have 6 small children in the family and the construction of this house was truely amazing in keeping the noise levels quiet. The parent suite, which had a kids bedroom and parent bedroom and a bath, has an extra door to enter the suite, so you couldn't hear a thing when the adults stayed up late to play games in the living room. With the kitchen upstairs, again, you couldn't hear any footsteps of the early risers in the downstair's bedrooms. Every day we could see the deer grazing in the forest out back and the home's location is perfectly placed between all the activities the resort has to offer. But, as I mentioned in my title above, the owner truely went out of her way to make our stay remarkable, which truely makes this house stand out from the rest. We were able to coommunicate with her via phone for any issues and she made herself available anytime we needed her during the week. On top of that, the care and organization given to the house and the contents speaks volumes to the owner's pride in offering the best rental in the resort. Our first family trip to Massanutten was an abosult success and we owe much of that to Fumiko. Thank you so much Fumiko for the use of your house and your time and we wish you all the best!! Our family of 9 stayed here for a week and loved it! It was the perfect size for each of us to have our own space and private bathroom and plenty of space for the kids to play! The beds were super comfortable! We loved that the house was fully furnished and we didn't have to bring alot of extra stuff along! The hot tub was wonderful also! Thanks to Fumiko for a wonderful stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This is a truly wonderful home to spend your vacation. It is cozy, warm, and comfortable, and really can accommodate a large family or crowd. The house is just a quick drive up the mountain to the slopes, which we really enjoyed. Just about everything we needed was provided to us, not to mention the HUGE TV in the living room great for movies and satellite TV. I also have to mention how pleasurable it was working with the owner. She really cares about your happiness while at her home, and she was by far the best owner I've ever rented from. 5+ stars for the whole experience, I have no doubt I'll be renting from her again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great (winter) family get together at this home recently. The home was in excellent shape with a fully stocked kitchen more than enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. The property is located on the resort and the ski lodge is just minutes away which was very nice. We will look forward to returning.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

?We recently spent four nights at this lovely home. We had 13 family members which included three generations aged 19 to 76. The house was big enough so we could enjoy sit-down meals together and game playing, while still allowing plenty of space for alone quiet time. The kitchen had every dish, bowl, pot, pan and gadget, plus the basic flour, sugar, coffee filters, TWO coffee pots, spices, paper towels, etc. needed to prepare whatever meal was planned. (When we returned home, I noticed someone had inadvertently packed the straw container full of straws in with our stuff, so I’m not sure if the owners will be providing straws in the future - you may want to bring your own straws!) The house was spotless, and had plenty of nice linens and towels. It was well maintained, making it a breeze to move in, get settled quickly, then pack up and move out. We have stayed at numerous VRBO’s around the country and we rank this one as THE BEST EVER!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Hi! I am the sole owner of this house. I put so much energy, effort and time to keep this house clean and comfortable. Continuously upgrading to make sure it exceeds the expectation of guests.
Why the Owner Chose Massanutten Resort:
Originally, I wanted to buy a house on top of the beautiful mountain, but quickly realized the importance of safe access and good parking. When I found this house with a wide, flat, and huge driveway, I was so relieved. The moment I entered the house, I knew this was my dream house! Since my purchase, I built a yoga studio, hot tub room, added back patio, and renovated much of the interior. Sunlight floods the house through the five skylights and huge windows. I hope my house brings you as much happiness and harmony for your family vacation as it has brought me.
