I lived in Tahoe for 10+ years as skiing got me out there after graduating college on the east coast, but my wife got me back to the east coast once we decided to start a family and be close to our parents. We still love Tahoe, so we kept our house and decided to vacation rental it... Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as we do!

This place is perfect for 2 couples and even better for a family. The cabin is quaint and cozy and conveniently located to everything. It has everything you need plus a great hot tub to soothe the muscles after a rough day of snowboarding during the winter or a adventurous day of mountain biking during the summer and fall. I highly recommend staying here as you will not be disappointed.
Owner response:It's great to have many returning guests who treat the house like it's their own! Thank you. Jamie

We stayed in the house for 3 nights. It was amazing, the facilities/amenities are too good. We just felt staying in our own house. The north shore of the lake is very near to the house. If you are planning for lake tahoe, would certainly recommend staying in the house.

We really enjoyed staying at this cute chalet last summer. The place is clean and big enough for 4 people. Walking distance to stores and close to the beach. Hot tub is the best.... we will go back there again.

A little shabby, mostly clean BUT one kitchen cabinet was littered with mouse droppings. The downstairs bath smelled vaguely moldy. The upstairs shower leaked onto the kitchen when in use. We never got the DVD player to work. The "wireless" service never worked so we had to use an Ethernet cable and even that took a long time to get working. To his credit, the owner did his best to help with these things but he is in the East Coast so it was all by phone. We were under the impression that the fitness center was included in the price of the rental from the description but it turns out we had to pay the $15 non resident fee to use it. The private beach was awesome and we spent the majority of our time there (you have to drive to it, about 5 minutes). Raley's is very nearby so that was nice for supplies. The neighborhood was very quiet. We never used the hot tub. It is in a tiny backyard that borders on a highway so it was not an appealing setting. Incline Village is great, we will return...but not to this rental.
Owner response:I felt terrible after trying to help these people get the DVD players and wireless to work. I could not understand why neither was working as I never had this issue before, so I ordered a new $75 wireless router immediately. When the next people checked in a few days later they had absolutely NO ISSUES with the DVD or Wireless internet and we have had no issues since. I have no idea what these people were doing, but I do not appreciate the negative review when there was nothing wrong and not sure why they thought the fitness center was free, even residents pay, but I did send them FREE beach passes, maybe this is where their confusion was??? I had the cleaners check the cabinets for mouse dropping - NONE FOUND and no leak found either. My wife and I do take it to heart when guest are not pleased with our chalet, so I still feel bad these people didn't enjoy their stay, but I am also very confused by the issues they mentioned???

The chalet was the perfect get-away. A quick 20-30 minute drive to great ski resorts, extremely cozy, clean, and well-stocked with home necessities (e.g. kitchen appliances, linens, etc.). We looked forward every day to using the hot tub after a long day of skiing/snowboarding. We will definitely be back. Great landlord to work with, too.

After a long flight from the East Coast I was excited to open the door to this adorable mountain chalet. My husband and I took our 2 year old daughter, and found the open layout ideal. Super Clean and Cozy. The owner even suggested places for myself and daughter to visit while my husband went skiing. Can't wait to go back in the SUMMER.

My 5 friends & I stayed at this cozy chalet for 1 week in January 2009. There were 2 men and 4 women. The 2 men stayed in the twin bedroom and there was plenty of room for the 4 women upstairs. All of the Tahoe ski areas were very easy to get to, with 3 being only 15 minutes away. We had a Great! time and I would definately stay here again. The hot tub was a delight after a hard day of skiing.
