Charming historical South Haven home, completely remodeled in 2003, during construction newspapers dating back to 1872 were found.
The home is only three blocks from downtown, four blocks from South Beach and Kids Corner and two blocks from the Kal-Haven bike and hiking trail between South Haven and Kalamazoo Michigan.
The home has all amenities including, cathedral ceilings, sky lights, five ceiling fans, hardwood and tile floors, and a beautiful stone faced gas fireplace. Off of the kitchen are french doors leading to a large brick patio on the north side of the house with two tables and plenty of seating. The house also has a two other brick patios on the west and east side the house. The brick patio on the east side has a hot and cold shower to wash off sand. The entire yard is fenced in. The front of the house has a large glassed in front porch with wicker furniture and cable TV.
The bathrooms are both very large with all the amenities. The first bathroom has a clawfoot tub, and separate shower. The second bathroom has a jetted whirlpool tub shower and sauna.
The kitchen has a double oven, garbage disposal, Kitchen aid microwave and dishwasher. Numerous small appliances are also included.
The home is next door to another rental home offered by the same owner.
The home is pet friendly.
Now booking for all of 2013, High season starts the second week in June. Extended stays available during off season.

Sorry for the late review but better late than never. I stayed at this home last summer and enjoyed it so much I am returning to lease it out for a year starting the middle of August. Location excellent, three blocks from Lake Michigan(to watch the sunsets) and two blocks from downtown South Haven(great shopping, activities and eateries). The house was clean and better than I expected, the outside welcoming on summer days and nights, relaxing. Two bathrooms, one with a clawtub and the other a jacuzzi with a sauna! Feels like home. The owner was very responsive and never had any issues the two weeks I stayed. Looking forward to my upcoming year there.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The outdoor space was wonderful for our children and pet. The location is perfect for a walk to South Beach or town.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children.

The location of this home was perfect to allow for walking to beach and town. It worked out well for my family which includes teenagers and young adults and our dog. The house also was clean and allow for us to be together, but also spaces to get away - such as to the two patio spaces. We all loved the outdoor shower. Also, for the 4th of July the house is located on the parade route so this was a big plus for us to just set up chairs outside the front door. The owner was very responsive to our needs. The listing says it sleeps 8-10. 8 I agreed with, 10 not sure how this number would be accommodated without some folks sleeping on the floor or on air mattresses. Plenty of room - just not enough beds for 10 adult sized people.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, tourists without a car.
