Bayside Paradise:
A beautiful spacious home and a big garden for your recreation are awaiting you! The house is located in a quiet, small non gated community, just a stone's throw away from Casey Key Beach. You will find 2 bedrooms, a living room with separate dining space, 2 bathrooms and an powder room distributed on 2 stories. In the living room there is a fireplace and for your entertainment there is the TV, DVD-Player, video recorder and stereo equipment. In addition you can surf the internet via WLAN. In the pool area you can eat underneath a covered seating place, the food prepared directly on the BBQ next to it. The kitchen is fully equiped with dish washer, microwave, stove and oven, coffee machine, juicer, aso. In the laundry room there is a washing machine and a dryer. The 1965 sqft living space are under air condition. You enter Bayside Paradies thru the attached 2 car garage, where you can also find the mountain bikes (2 for adults, 1 for children) for your first expedition..
The great outdoors just around the corner: 5 minutes by bike, there is the entrance of Oscar Scherer State Park. You will find hiking and biking trails through a wonderful nature, a small lake to swim in, a BBQ with tables and seats for picnic.
5 minutes by car and you are at the South Shetty on Casey Key. Take your time and observe dolphins, manatees, ospreys, pelicans, sandpipers, egrets, blue herons and much more. I even saw a manta ray on one of my bike tours over the island of Casey Key!
Or rent a kanu or kayak (rental available 1 km from my house). They bring it e.g. to Casey Key North Bridge and from there on you can paddle northwards to Midnight Pass. Pull your boat on land, climb up the dune and you find yourself on a pristine beach between Siesta Key and Casey Key.

We have vacationed in many different places in Florida for the past five years and we must say that Nokomis is the one place we will look forward to coming back year after year. This is the ideal spot - minutes away from gorgeous beaches, grocery stores, great restaurants, Venice and the beautiful Legacy Trail for biking. Sabine's home is truly a "home". We loved it from the moment we walked in because it is so warm , comfortable & inviting. The house was immaculate and well equiped. We especially enjoyed the pool area and grill, however even though the weather was fabulous, the pool was alittle too cold for swimming. Perhaps a solar cover to apply at night would help retain the heat from the daytime sun. Sabine's cartakers, Anita & Lou, were wonderful and so helpful in many ways. And although Sabine lives in another country, she is very accessible via email and a delight to correspond with. The home was comfortable and well maintained. When an appliance gave out, the caretakers quickly replaced it. Location to the beach, parks and biking trails was convenient. We appreciated and utilized information on the area left by the owner. Highly recommend Rosebud Restaurant that was 5 min. away and the Crow's Nest Restaurant in Venice. Reasonable proximity to Sarasota allowed us to visit attractions there as well.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

My wife and I recently spent a week here. We found the house to be well appointed. It is centrally located to shopping, sight seeing, and the beech. We plan on staying there again in the near future.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Sabine's home is just lovely. It has everything anyone could want in a vacation home for a short or even an extended stay. It is private, spacious and close to everything including shops, Venice, golf and the beach. It is immaculate and the caretakers are wonderful. Although the weather was unseasonably cold, that didn't stop us from enjoying Sabine's hospitality.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I stayed at this villa with my family in January. Since the weather was not that great we got a chance to really spend time in the house. The living room has a lot of light coming in during the day, which I love. The terrace with the pool has an entrance from the living room as well as the master bedroom - very convenient. I also enjoyed Asian decor in the living room and the second floor. BEACH - ONLY 5-7 MINS DRIVE AWAY!!!! STORE PLAZA, MOVIE THEATER ETC. ARE VERY CLOSE TOO! Nice and quiet neighborhood!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We stayed here over the Christmas holidays and had a wonderful time. Sabine's home is so pretty, clean and a happy place to be. The house provides great space, is well maintained and is CLEAN! The kitchen is outfitted with everything one would need to cook a basic or fancy meal. We really enjoyed the pool and the outdoor area even though the weather was a little cool. This house offers so much - the pool, the bbq, the bikes, the beach chairs and mats, the pool toys, but mostly the ambience. The sun shining off the yellow walls in the morning was such a welcome and warming sight. The beach is nearby and we had a great time biking up and down Casey Key looking at the beach and the incredible homes along the Key. We enjoyed our visits to Nokomis Beach - it is easily accessible and has lots of parking. The house is in a quiet, SAFE residential neighbourhood. It is close to Sarasota (10 minutes or so north on the Tamiami Trail) which has great shopping, lots of arty things to do and different beaches. It is also close to grocery and drug stores in the area. We would recommended this property to friends and/or relatives in a heartbeat. We have rented many vacation homes in different places in the world and this was one of my favourites! Sabine will provide you with any information you need and is easy to communicate with and I feel like we could be good friends! Thanks Sabine for renting us your pretty house to celebrate the holidays and ring in the new decade. All the best for 2010! Vor drei Jahren wurden wir durch Zufall auf dieses Kleinod aufmerksam. Es gefiel uns so gut, dass wir dieses Jahr für fast drei Wochen hierher kamen. Ein perfekter Platz, um sich zu entspannen und den Urlaub zu genießen. Das Haus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man sich nur wünschen kann. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Nachbarschaft, der Strand (Nokomis Beach ist immer noch ein Geheimtip!) ist 5 Minuten entfernt. Alle Einkaufmöglichkeiten in der Nähe und die Restaurants waren nur zu empfehlen. Die Gastfreundlichkeit der Vermieter ist sehr sehr gut - wir fühlten uns rundherum wohl. Jede Frage wurde freundlich und ausführlich beantwortet, die Hausverwaltung hätte sofort parat gestanden, wenn es Probleme gegeben hätte. Eintreten, auspacken, wohl fühlen. Die Zeit ging viel zu schnell vorbei und wir denken wehmütig an die wunderschönen Tage, die wir dort verleben durften. Dieses Haus kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Wir waren zu zweit, aber vier Personen fühlen sich dort genauso wohl und ausreichend Platz ist mehr als vorhanden. Das Haus ist gepflegt, liebevoll eingerichtet und wir haben nichts vermisst. Ich kann mich den anderen Bewertungen nur anschließen. Ein wirklich tolles Haus am besten Strand von ganz Florida, auf jeden Fall für den, der die Natur liebt. Wir haben so viele Tiere gesehen, Muscheln gesammelt und Haifischzähne gefunden. Für Kinder ein Paradies. Zum Strand sind es nur ein paar Minuten, so dass man zum Sonnenuntergang jederzeit wieder hin fahren kann. Das Haus ist super gepflegt und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem Haus. Die allgemeine Organisation mit dem Vemieter/in und der Hausverwaltung verlief unkompliziert und reibunglos. Man wurde sehr gut und freundlich beraten und betreut. Die Ausstattung des Hauses war optimal. Es war alles in genügender Form bzw. Anzahl vorhanden, z.B. Handtücher, Fön, Internet-Anschluss, Infos über Ausflüge, Prospekte, Strandliegen, Kühlbox, etc. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet. Man fühlte sich von Anfang an wohl. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut, da man schnell am Strand ist und jegliche Ess- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe sind. Dieses Domizil ist besser als jedes Hotel. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen. Was soll ich sagen da ich nun das zweite mal meinen Urlaub in diesem Haus mache.Die steine um den Pool wurde neu gemacht ( sieht toll aus ) ein neuer Grill wurde gekauft das Haus wieder in einem Tip Top Zustand bekommen , sauber voll ausgestattet da bleiben keine Wuensche offen. Wir koennen das Haus nur empfehlen ,die Beschreibung ist noch untertrieben. Wer einen schoenen Urlaub in ruhiger Gegend verbringen moechte sollte dieses Haus buchen.
