If you're looking for the perfect get-away in the Rocky Mountains, you've found it! This two-bedroom, two-bath condo has everything your family needs to enjoy a stay in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. The Rockies are spectacular year-round - so much to do and see, you will want to return again and again. Our location in Wildernest puts you conveniently near several major ski resorts (Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, Copper Mountain, Vail, Beaver Creek) hiking and snowshoeing trails, biking trails and fishing waters.
This unit is fully furnished with charming natural, mountain-style decor and the newly renovated, fully-equipped kitchen will make you feel right at home. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with master bath; the second bedroom has two bunk beds that each contain a double bed on the bottom and twin bed on top. Each bedroom has a TV with cable. There are two closets that comfortably hold your summer or winter wardrobes.
The comfortable living room features leather couches, a wood-burning fireplace, cable TV, DVD/VCR player, blazing fast (54mps) WiFi and CD stereo. Board games are available in the storage bench. Four tennis racquets, 2 racquetball rackets and ping pong paddles are also provided in the condo. The kitchen table seats six, with two more seats at the counter bar. And on top of all of this, there is a picturesque view of the mountains and wetlands out the windows. You may even see moose grazing and foxes trotting in the meadow just feet from the condo while you are sitting on the balcony! Fire wood is provided at no cost.
After a full day of exploring the area, you can relax at a nightspot in town, or at one of the four clubhouses available to our guests. The clubhouses each have an indoor heated pool and hot tub, as well as game rooms for the kids, including pool, ping pong and air hockey. Shoppers will want to take advantage of the extensive Outlet Mall located at the base of Buffalo Mountain - a two mile walk or drive.
For the comfort of our other guests, there is no smoking and no pets allowed.

Year Purchased: 2009
I currently live in a small community in southeastern Tampa Bay called Ruskin. I work for the county government as an environmental/restoration scientist. I am an outdoor enthusiast and the Tampa Bay area allows me to enjoy fishing, golfing, birding, biking, hiking, camping, etc. I discovered the Wildernest area of the Rockies and skiing eight years ago, fell in love with the area and what it had to offer, and vowed then to make the effort to purchase a residence here before I retire. I got my wish in 2009. I don't retire for four years so, until then, I want to make my condo available and allow visitors to discover this area as I did.
Why the Owner Chose Buffalo Ridge
Location, location, location! During the winter months, you can choose from world-class skiing at seven resorts that are all located within 10-45 minutes of the condo. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dogsledding and snowmobiling are also available close by. Clubhouse amenities that come with this condo allow you to warm up in hot tubs, dry saunas and heated pools after a day on the slopes. Cool summer days are perfect for biking and hiking, rafting, fishing and golf, and all these activities are located with minutes of the condo. In fact, hiking and biking trail heads are located within steps of the front door of the condo.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
You might want to start your day with a short, brisk walk (or longer one should you choose) to pick up your free daily Summit County News paper, an absolute pre-requisite to planning your day and night time activities and dinner plans for the evening. You have the luxury of this walk because the covered parking that comes with the condo precludes you from having to prepare the car for travel after a snowy night. During your walk you will notice how very close the stop for the free bus service is to the condo,literally a two minute walk once you are down the stairs. (The bus is available every thirty minutes during daylight hours and runs hourly after that until 0130 hrs.) It is not uncommon to see foxes or chipmunks on this paved walk early in the morning.
It is a short ten minute walk up the mountain to a hiking trailhead or 2 minutes downslope to a trail that will take you to the bottom of Buffalo Mountain. The trail comes out on Ryan Gulch Road and you can take the free bus back up the mountain to the condo or continue on your adventure down to the Outlet Mall shops, where you have everything from Nike to Columbia, including leather goods shops, sunglasses, homewares, etc. Biking trailheads with paved surfaces are less than ten minutes away from the condo if that is your pleasure.

What a great place to spend a few days in the mountains. I will never stay at a hotel again. This condo feels right at home and has spectacular views! It's location is perfect - close to everything. Perfect for a family, a girl's trip, a couple - everyone will be happy. There is plenty to do in the various clubhouses for all ages. There are great restaurants, shops and little towns nearby to venture out and explore when you aren't on the slopes. The kitchen is nice to have so you have the option to cook if you desire. There is even wildlife to be seen as close as the parking lot! We couldn't have found a more perfect condo. We will definitely be back! We highly recommend this to anyone thinking about going to the Colorado mountains. You will NOT be disappointed.

We had a blast, found the place to be very comfortable, well equipped and what a view from the balcony! Easy access to Breckenridge, Rocky Mtn. Park, Vail, Frisco, Pike's Peak, and a variety of Denver sites. Easy drive from the airport and glad I let the Budget guy talk me into a 4X4 chevy suburban for our site-seeing trips. Idaho Springs, just down the road, was a neat place to eat and visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying at this rental. The condo is very welcoming, updated and well decorated. The views are amazing!! We saw walking by the building a moose and her baby. There was also a resident fox who was fun to watch. Very kid friendly and our kids enjoyed the pools and racketball court at the clubhouses. The location is great just minutes away from city activities. The owner responds quickly to emails, very pleasant, easy to work with, honest and knowledgeable about the area. We would love to go back!!

Stayed for a few days last spring while skiing Summit County. The views are spectactular, the condo is extremely comfy and homey and we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks for everyting Richard...you were wonderful to work with and very responsive. We hope to stay again on our next visit.
