  We really enjoyed this home, and it was the perfect size for 2 families. We really enjoyed the kitchen and the layout of this home. Great neighborhood for the family vacation, and the Owners were great to work with.

  My wife and I have been coming to Destin since 2003 and we have experienced staying in condo's, villas and private homes. I would have to say that this is by far the best rental we have stayed in. We absolutely loved the layout of the home as it was perfect for us and our 3 small children. I hardly ever cook at home but the kitchen was so wonderful that I found myself talking my wife out of cooking just so I could play chef. The home is extremely well kept and clean. That was most important to us for we have rented homes before which required us to call the manager for a recleaning. I would also mention that the week we were there; the temperatures were around 85 degrees and we didin't have any problem whatsoever in cooling the home or the upstairs bedrooms for that matter. Everything was perfect and we hope to rent this home again next year. Thank you Diane for sharing your home with us.

  This property is gorgeous, well-maintained, in a perfect location. With four bedrooms and only one shared Jack-and-Jill bathroom, we loved it. There was only one small problem -- one of the Q beds was fitted with double sheets and mattress cover, which meant persons in that bed battled that issue all night. It was reported to owner and will be fixed. But the MAJOR problem was that the air conditioner was set to 70 degrees and would not go lower. We were a party of 8, with five women, four of whom are having hot flashes! The downstairs was lovely and cool -- but even in November, with temps outside in the 80s, the upstairs bedrooms (all three of them) were miserably warm. When I reported it to the owner, she said that the temp was set at 70 and would not be changed. I informed her that was unfortunate, because we would have gone back to this property every year for years to come had it not been for the excessive heat upstairs. I cannot imagine renting this property in the summer and certainly will not go back again. I'm guessing that all of her properties are set at 70 degrees, but am not willing to find out. But if the heat doesn't bother you, go for it -- it's a beautiful property in a wonderful setting, beautifully furnished with great amenities.

  This home was absolutely fabulous! Our immediate family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculate and well equipped. The layout was perfect for several adult couples and their children. The kitchen was so great that we found ourselves wanting to cook more than eating out! Loved the short walk to the beach that was never crowded, had a lifeguard, playground, and the Crab Trap. We will definitely be back!

  I wanted to send you a note letting you know how much we all enjoyed staying at your beautiful Destin vacation home in Destiny West. As you know we had two families staying in the home, 4 adults and 5 children, and found the home spacious, well decorated and we never felt crowded. The weather during our stay was perfect, mid 70s all week with one day of only partial rain showers. The Gulf waters, the pool, and the communities’ other ammenities were fantastic and were enjoyed by us all. The proximity to the Crab Trap restaurant was also a hit with all of us, the adults enjoyed cocktails at sunset overlooking the beach where the kids played on the playground. We will definitely consider renting your home if our future vacation plans bring us to Destin

  Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Adding my comment is delayed since we stayed there during Goustav. It was a safehaven for us during a difficult time in our state. We were comforted by it's beauty and amazing features. It was so spacious with ample entertainment for our families offering them separate facilities. We were never on top of each other and there was always something wonderful to accupy the children. The kitchen was of special interest to me as I cooked everyday. The warming light under the hood of the stove and the industial style professional stove entertained me thourally, as cooking is one of my passions. The refrigerator is also exceptional with lots of room for everything we needed to enjoy our stay. With an upstairs balcony and a washer and dryer up stairs we had so much available to us that was just pertinent to having smaller children. I would recommend this over any thing I have ever stayed in there in Destin and we go often. Never again will I book the high tower rentals. This was elegant and extravagant at a fair price. Thank you so much! We will never forget.

  What a great house and location! The house was beautiful, with so many great amenities! The indoor grill is awesome for cooking steaks. The wine refrigerator was nice. The downstairs master suite was a great escape, when needed...My husband and I, along with most of our adult children and grandchildren spent a glorious week there July 5th. The fact that there were 2 sets of washers and dryers were so nice for our large group. LOVED the kitchen for cooking dinners at home in the evenings. The only thing I can think of, that would have been nice, that was not supplied, would be a gate for the stairs. We had several small kids and had to watch them very closely on the stairs. Access to the garage would be a huge help. Parking is tricky if you have more than two vehicles. You are not allowed to park on the street at night. There is room for two cars, maybe three, if small, in the driveway. Any other vehicles must park at the Clubhouse/Pool area at night. My brother and family were 5 miles away, came over for dinner one AFTERNOON, and were met by the neighbor, asking them not to park in front of their house, followed by a phone call from Diane, who had been notified by the neighbor that she had better check on the number of people there. Diane was nice about it and had actually remembered our situation with family coming, etc. NO PROBLEMS. If you can follow rules re: parking and garbage, etc. you will have a great time. We did. The beach is awesome. There are lifeguards behind the CRABTRAP restaraunt, and that was very important to me. The walk to the beach is very nice. The neighborhood is picturesque. Landscaping kept very nice. The pool is excellent and not crowded the whole week we were there. Highly recommend the place! and hope to go again.

  This was absolutely the BEST home we have ever rented. It was in a great location and the beach was easy to access. The home was extremely clean and perfect in every way. It has so many extra features: pot filler over the stove, central vacuum system in the wall, washer & dryer upstairs & downstairs, & the best modern appliances. My family and I are looking forward to staying in this home in the future. A big thank you to Diane for her expertise about the area.

  We have been home one week from our vacation in this beautiful Destin home,and are all ready to go back! (Actually, we didn't want to leave) We loved the home for our family of six (including a baby). The spacious, accommodating kitchen allowed us to easily fix meals and enjoy family times together. The short walk to the beach was an extra bonus, but we loved gathering "at home" in the evenings! We will definitely return!

  We had our family reunion here and were delighted with the accomidations! Diane and Andy were only a phone call away with any qustions we had. The place is beautiful, Destiny west is awesome and the beaches prestine. Our family had a wonderful time.
